    I'm only really excited for AMRS in Smash because it finally shut up the 3rd Party only folks
    (Through, Byleth fixed that for me)

    What I'm not excited if the character was one of those spirits or even worst, Spring Man, who was a assist trophy

    I'm not in the mood for people constantly begging the Smash team to put characters that they "missed" because I really don't want to waste 20(?) bucks on a pass in characters that was technically already in the game

    Considering all the characters that Sakurai has been able to create movesets for in the past, he shouldn't have any trouble coming up with one for Phoenix.

    StarBot StarBot Now there's a statement I agree with. .............For the most part. Not saying a Rivals of Aether character getting in Smash is likely, but that would be a case where taking a moveset from another game gets a pass in my opinion.

    I mean Smash is a crossover. Most character movesets are heavily derived from their games, especially with a lot of the more recent characters. Is it "stealing" that Ryu's moves are mostly copy/pasted from Street Fighter?

    Unpopular Opinion: I really don't understand how or why Cookie Mama is looked so fondly on here, it was always a mediocre cheap shovelware game, that appeared in the right place on the right time

    I don't think anything like should be in a game like Smash

    But God damn it, Sakurai just HAD to upload a old POD with a old stage, and now every YouTube "speculator" thinks that now "we totally gonna get old versions stages now!!11"

    Like, ingoreing the fact the man falt out said these where made in the past, just for fun, and now he's showing them for the public

    The entire gaming community's in boredom mode right now from no big news. Well, apart from AC stuff (finally) and the end of CTR's firrst phase of DLC.

    At least I have enough sense to play games and do other stuff in the meantime...

    Anyway, there is unrest somewhere in here. For how many I don't know, I'd rather not count all of them, takes too long.

    Just hoping the general Direct comes before Summer starts.

    I keep seeing people obnoxiously saying "Sakurai could of literally put Byleth moveset on a Monster Hunter hunter and it would of worked. AND people would of been happier for it!!"

    But ingoreing that Monster Hunter plays and move NOTHING like Byleth moveset

    Condersing so many people like PushDustin, and alot of professional players HATES how they play

    IF they replaced Byleth with a MH rep, not only it would been a terrible representative, y'all would hate them aswell due to how sluggish they play

    Me and a few friends were actually having a discussion similar to this. Our thought was not Byleth's move set in particular but the concept of the kit. The having various weapons for different moves and a few of the animations seemed like they could have fit Hunter quiet well. We spitball (but with no basis, just discussion) that Hunter may have been an option. The bow neutral but the full charge could have been the 'rain' special shot. The hammer attacks could have been greatsword/hammer (The charge up attack looks greatly inspired from MH in general). The lance attacks could have been the insect glaive. though we ponder what the whip sword moves could have been replaced by. So on. My buddy was hoping big time for Hunter and felt like Byleth could have super easily been the Hunter with a model swap and a few move tweaks. So close, yet so far. He has, however, been enjoying Byleth.

    To say MH would be a terrible rep is subjective to the extreme and I doubt many would hate how sluggish they were if they got some of the options in their more recent fighting game debut. They were sluggish in MVC: I but had great arrays of moves, mobility options or lots of armor (Great sword moves in particular) to compensate for their sluggishness. Byleth just feels sluggish with no real mobility options and has armor only on one really slow and choreographed move which makes her more lack luster in comparison from my perspective.

    So condescending and stern, but with of softness / politeness and juuuust the right amount of... airheadness?

    She actually sounds like a grown women that I wouldn’t mind beating me up compared to the JP voices, who all sound extremely way to young or kawaii

    Haven't heard Japanese version, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route. I know it was the case for female Corrin, it was absolutely unfitting. The female English voice (Marcela Lentz-Pope) is basically iconic to her voice. She sounds like an actual strong fighter chick, but also not like womanly mature (again, "just right").

    I like Cam Clarke for the male English Corrin voice, but the Japanese voice has a sense of sleek and more edge to it.

    Since the character was so secretive, putting that out would really narrow down the character choices and put the insider source at risk since this person knew it was Byleth.
