  • That's cool.
So a couple friends and I are (trying) to plan a Brawl tourney in the near future. Since it's our first one it's probably gonna be smaller and more local, but we'd like to try to get as many people from the Chicago-land area as possible. Would you be in? o.O
Sorry lol. I was wifi'ing all day rofl. We can get to it tomorrow. Its 2 am here. ^_^
And as a bonus, there's no need to be a grumpy Gus, but thanks for taking it to PMs because I really hate fighting on the boards.
I do though... EL isn't a top player because he hasn't mastered the mental side of the game.

If you need credentials, I'm well-respected in Nevada but don't place often, I've played most of the top west coast Marth's in tournaments and crew battles (including DannyKat and Bardull, MikeHaze's garbage), and I've placed top 25 in singles and top 10 in doubles in major events. I'm not trying to clam up your boards, but as far as teaching new players the game, Tier lists get a lot of attention, and people always tend to think "What can I spam or abuse to win," when really, the top players tend to beat you in the basic aspects of the game, and then abuse opens up to them.

The Marth boards are a bit stuck at the moment, focusing so much on what little attacks they can do here and there to win a button war, when really what people aren't realizing about Marth is that he can absolutely crush people mentally with excellent play.
Rap's pretty good, but I listen to plenty of it almost every day on hit radio stations. Nothing I haven't heard lately on there.
I thought so, but now I see that I really haven't come much farther than I was...

I have a looong way to go to even be considered decent I guess...

    Nope. What's that?
Honestly, the more exclusive it is, the better. Things like the SBR should only be the cream of the crop, for the community's sake.
Well we gotta know which moves characters can do while in the air to prevent juggling first.
Man, I swear those groups are all just distractions now, all the 'serious business' is probably saved for the actual back room. And by 'serious business' I mean the crappy discussions about the character of the week and OS talking about how heavy MK is.
If you wanna type stuff up, feel free to help. Im looking to have a thread on the difficulty of each character to juggle and what makes it harder.
<.< I knew that. Definitely. Seems you're in the elite backroom too, stepping up in the world I see ;)
When did they get back to you?

I hope I get it too because I'd like to get a colored name, even if it is pink lol.
Yeah, but I just have an inkling that I either won't hear back or won't get accepted. It just seems too easy.
Hope it doesn't bother you too much bro...

It is kinda silly, but it's a minor inconvinience.
    Chis was probably a jerk.

How did you get into elite smashboards back room? Do you have a tournament record?
Sorry, was makin a thread lol.

They're satirical/witty/cynical/using higher level intellectual humor. You haven't been exposed to that before/not old enough to act that way yet imo. Biology more than environment, but the more you're exposed to their attitudes, the better your chances are.
Then my only conclusion is that it's an attitude thing. Your attitude must be different in some key ways from the other posters.
    Err, miscommunication ftl...

I think ages are too different between the people in the gorup and you. It's called a "social group." Social groups are made of peers in some cases. This case includes peers of ages pretty close to each other(if you do decide to research this now, please tell me. I'm too lazy to look lol). It may just be that you're unlucky/different personally from the group. That wouldn't be your fault then.

Bottom line: No worries. Plenty of worse problems out there.
    ya caught me!

i was one of four matts at an old job, and we all worked in close proximity. that was some confusing ****, man!
Same sort of situation as NL I think.

It's half an acceptance thing too I guess.

Age-differentials may be your only problem.

Btw, gooooood shiz on 147 friends.
