Do parents have to be a problem if there is no other choice? I'll also see if someone else can be able to provide housing for you though

Yeah to be honest :/ although we are obviously coming to play melee we are also coming to socialise. We'd want to be able to relax and maybe have a few beers in the afternoon. I wouldnt want to do this at someones parents house and look disrespectful.

Yeah i can understand that. Being under the influence in front of parents can give them the wrong idea, and might hold you back to be able to fully relax.

if you want, we can party in Harderwijk city on saturday night, it's an awesome place. it's my last weekend before school starts, so it should be a good one

Ik kijk nu pas de regels door en zie dat ze enigzins outdated zijn. We doen in NL tegenwoordig stage striking ipv random voor de eerste match. Ik kopieer dat stukje wel even van Faab's toernooi:

Je speelt 1 potje rock paper scissors met je tegenstander. De winnaar mag als eerste een stage striken. Hierna mag de verliezer 2 keer een stage striken gevolgd door de winnaar die er weer 1 mag striken. De volgende stages zijn er om gestriked te worden. (in teams word Fountain of dreams vervangen door battlefield.)

Klinkt als een goede suggestie, de regels zijn inderdaad redelijk outdated, aangezien het dezelfde ruleset is als die van ZEST3, ik zal het stagestriken van toepassing laten zijn op ZEST4.

Stage striking werkt als volgt; voor de set begint, doen de spelers rock-paper-scissors. De winnaar hiervan striket 1 stage, dan de ander 2 en dan mag de eerste weer kiezen op welke van de 2 overgebleven stages de eerste match gespeeld gaat worden.
Character counterpick blijft wel hetzelfde trouwens, ASP dus. Verliezer kiest stage, winnaar kiest char, verliezer kiest char.

i have to check with them (one of them is actually Brasje's sister Nini, is it ok if she'd come too? other one is a guy who never attended a tournament, and isnt coming to this one either). Brasje won't be coming since he will be in China for 6 months.

but i'm guessing 2 or 3 could stay with Nini (not sure yet if she comes, she won't do housing if she's not coming), but im pretty sure the other guy can house 2 people as well.

so 2/3 people with one of them, and 2/3 at my place.

it's ok, i'm pretty psyched about this tournament, it's my first in 2 years, my smash skills are still ok (been practicing with brasje recently), and it's always nice to hang out with the smashers, especially since it's been so long for me.

and last but not least: i've been to all 3 zest tournaments, and they are AMAZING ^__^. i trust you on this next tournament too =]

Also, partying = good.The guys im coming drink/smoke quite abit so the more drinking I do the happier ill be. Im not really coming for the smash, more to let my hair down a bit and get away before my last (and very intense) teacher training/qualifying year.

Being housed at ninis place or w/e is cool even if there is no smash or smashrs about. As i say,w e won't be that fussed about playing melee night before (and especially not the night after). We would obviously prefer to be housed all together. I dont know if this is possible? does nini live on her own or with parents? id happily talk to her or any of your friends and reassure them that we dont mind all sleeping on the floor in cramped conditions. Mainly cos we'll be very drunk

If we cant be housed together I understand. How far apart is your house from ninis etc etc? Would we be able to hang out with each other during the night then split when we sleep? lol. Also, if aniolas comes, he has to be housed with me ^_^ . Its been a long time aniolas ^_^ we def need that beer already!

At ZEST 1,2 and 3 you could get beer at the venue, and as far as i know ZEST 4 won't be any different. Beer isn't even expensive at the venue, if i remember correctly it's €1.10 or €1.20 for a glas of beer, so about £1.

Also there are enough places to get beer near the venue, the are 2 supermarkets at a distance of about 30 - 40 meters, and a pub/café there as well so
