oh and we just went over a conversation about pokemon cries without anyone mentioning DELELELELELEWHOOOOOOOOP

You can take this avatar now that HeroMystic dropped it
Not actually planning on using that one in the near future

I do have three different Rosalina avatars in the potential rotation if I do drop this one for any reason though

Life is hard
Damn, that's what I should've named my Metapods.

"Life used HARDEN!"

The ones I know the best are the weird/eerie or unique ones: Giratina (my bby), Gastly line, Yveltal, Dusknoir, Escavalier, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Rayquaza, Metagross, etc
Oh, I guess I know Gastly.

And Butterfree.

I'd probably be able to name more if I heard them. Not any of the rest of the ones you named though.:012:

EDIT: Slowbro, Starmie, Articuno, and Breloom too.

Aside from a few outliers it's mostly just Pokemon I like though, so it'd make sense that I'd hear the cry a lot.

are there any good pikachu avatars (no furret pls)
@ Soul. Soul. I had some issues adjusting to the Wii U controls but I'm mostly better now. I'm using the Classic Controller because I refuse to buy a 3rd party GCC adapter (plus my GCC is pretty worn) and I ain't busting out $50 for a Pro controller. My biggest issues are with the control stick and input delay (even offline). The control stick is situated down lower than I'm used too so I occasionally screw up my side-b inputs, though this has gotten better lately. I also find it harder to low jump DAir forward because the control stick is bigger than the circle pad. It sucks the most for Villager; I'd use the c-stick but I hate how it halts momentum with Smash enabled (and since I loathe using non-default controls I won't switch to tilts though I'm more used to smash stick anyway). The only non-default control I have is making the front right trigger be grab and the back one be shield because GCC familiarity.
Yeah, maybe... The only reason I have a Wii U is.... it lets me play people that have the Wii U version. I still play 3DS more. Eh.

Gen 4 had some obnoxious cries. Starly's was also up there. I also have to say that some of the legendaries have very disappointing cries. Arceus in particular has a cry that sounds like a bunch of glitchy computer garbage, hardly fitting for the primordial master it is. Unless it's actually Missingno.

Two of my favorite cries are Pichu and Baltoy. If I had to rank generations based on their cries...
3>5>6>4>2>1
2 and 1 are only last because of the way their cries work. Gen 1 even had several identical cries. Charizard and Rhyhorn for one pair, and I think Poliwag and Ditto as well. Possibly Goldeen and Caterpie, too. Gotta love how Mewtwo sounds almost identical to Parasect.

And speaking of Pokemon cries...

Dude, you got it all wrong, Gen 3 soundfont is terrible and all felt like faint, echoed noises (though they're at least recognizable, Gen 4 and 5 don't have those).
Gen 1 and 2 are awesome firstly because they maximize a limited system (the Gameboy's) to make 251 noises with unique vibes (there are a coule unused sounds, one isprobably Ryhorn/Charizard's, instead of the repeated one).

I knew something was up. Boss decided to hold a lab meeting at the bar today and friends wanted to get together for drinks tonight.

Here's to Macchi never finding a main.

First three gens had interesting cries.

Gen 6 had a couple that stuck out in my memory but nothing that really wowed me.

I can't even name any gen 5 cries, gen 4 I only know Lucario+Cresselia+DELELELELELELEWHOOOOOP - the former two only due to seeing them a lot, the latter I haven't even heard ingame it's just too silly to forget once you've heard it.

That's about all I've got. 3>2=1>6>* I guess, but I can certainly agree that the hardware limitations of gens 1 and 2 make them all the more impressive.

I still feel Gen 3's sounds (every BGM and SFX) are all weird and I just can't get to like them at all, even though Emerald is the game I've played the most (on emulators but still).

Well now I'm bored of mega man.
I think this is the 8th secondary I've grown tired of after the Pits, Luigi, Meta Knight, Kirby, Palutena, Shulk, and G&W.

Maybe I'll try Mewtwo when he comes out (who am I kidding, EVERYONE is going to try out Mewtwo)

Now if only wolf came back...

I probably should rate 1 and 2 higher and I would if not for the handful of duplicates. IMO gens 3 and 5 struck a good balance between organic and identifiable. They tried too hard in 4 a few times.

Hey...gen 4 might have had overdone cries, but they had among the best starter trio cries out of of any generation imo. (Gen 2 may have been a bit better)

But to be honest, when I first heard Dialga and Palkia's cries, I thought they were just different clips of a baby crying. I like the backdrop of Palkia's at the end, but both his and Dialga's just sound too exaggerated and awkward.
Giratina's was perfect however.

Secondary Rosalina. :rosalina:

If nothing else you'll learn more about her strengths and weaknesses and better understand how to deal with her.

I hear that a lot, so I can respect the opinion. I guess I'm in the minority that didn't feel that way, and gen 3's cries felt the most unique and identifiable to me.

Speaking of, I'm listening through cries and I don't know how I forgot about Manectric, that one usually sticks out in my mind when I start thinking about cries.

EDIT: And Absol and Milotic jeez, how did I forget about these. Absol probably has my favorite cry...though I never noticed before now but it's actually pretty similar to Latias'.

I honestly don't like what Gen 6 did to every Pokémon cry, except Pikachu because lol it's the series' mascot

I liked some changes, others (most) lost what made them unique.
And don't remind me about Pikachu, the game one was the only incarnation of it I could respect because it didn't feel related to the anime. Then Gen 6 happened and it's the same voice all over again. Funny enough, I love Ikue Ootani's voice, just not Pikachu's.

I don't know what were they trying to do with the new cries. Maybe the original ones didn't work well on the 3DS, I guess. Then again, Gen 6 is boring imo

Both X&Y and ORAS couldn't hold my short attention span.
I'm hoping Pokemon takes their time to develop the next game because it's getting a bit lackluster right now.
Actually, we still haven't heard an announcement for a new Pokemon game yet. Is the next one gonna be big?

Huh. Guess that's another thing you and @ Spirst Spirst have in common.

Although, he has much more to say about Gen 6 than "it's getting a bit lackluster"

As for me, Gen 6 is booty and ORAS ruined Hoenn :happysheep:

Yeah, with an official meta focused on Doubles and power creep (**** you Gen 5 for this). :troll:
I was hyped for both X/Y and ORAS since their announcement; now I'm just... eh. It's getting a bit lackluster, yeah; I barely play Y now. My 3DS has Smash on its GC slot and I'm thinking about getting some games digitally.

To answer your question, nobody really knows. I don't even know when will Gen 6 last. Game Freak is trying so hard lol

I like doubles way more than singles, and XY made an amazing job when it allowed only localized Pokémon (proper to the region). It was nice to see a meta without the Weather Trio for a change.... while it lasted.

X and Y was so freaking rushed and the story was terrible. So much potential gone to waste. Instead of actually diving deeper into the story of Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde, we're thrown into Lysandre's plot to destroy the world and every living being in it except for him and team flare. Not like that idea hasn't been used before...

They also did everything in their power to make the power creep exponential.

I'm curious as to why you think ORAS ruined hoenn, Reserved. I thought the story was rushed and that there were many loose holes, but what do you think?

Played Robin on FG.

Got elevator'd by a random Zelda.

... Stopped playing FG.

I should mention that I actually did DI it...

*first hit of Farore's*

Me: ... no.

*second hit*

Me: WHAT!?

Zelda wave.

SO SALTY. Even though I won the match, I felt like I lost.
