Skarmory is a wonderful Pokemon.

Skarmory is great, my favorite is though but I don't like the aura he has on that emoticon. Then my second favorite is none other than Skarmory. In Pokémon, I'm a defensive player / staller by default. I like setting up spikes/stealth rock and putting status effects across my opponents team while having a strong defense to back it up so Skarmory is my go to Pokémon in many situations!

This reminds me... @ Macchiato , what percent was it when I killed you really early with Luma's up tilt? I think it was when you were playing as ZSS, but it might've been Sheik. I'm pretty sure you were at like 50ish%, but I can't remember for sure. It was really funny, though. Luma with rage is terrifying. someone please post the angry luma picture tysm

The only Rosalina nerf that bothers me is the nerf to her bthrow. It was a great way to end a stock when Luma was gone (although 1.0.0 usmash was gdlk), but now it doesn't kill until pretty late. I guess it was done to make SoRo less amazing? I just want it back. ;-;

Question for you zeldas, who do you think is her best partner aside from peach?

Villager (can pocket Phantom, she can reflect the tree back to pocket it, and with squall she can give him stupid range on his kill moves), Ness (Zelda = white mage healer lol), G&W cuz bucket.

But those are just based on exploits. I think characters that do well with Zelda in general are ROB because he's pretty good at crowd control in case Zelda needs to reposition herself, and probably ZSS (paralyzer + dsmash = elevators)

Gen 2 is one of the best gens, though. I love way too many Pokemon from it. Gen 1 isn't bad, either.

I'm only slightly bitter about Gengar getting all sorts of perks each gen while ghosts I actually like, like Misdreavus, are doomed to eternal mediocrity. I'd probably be fine with him if it weren't for that...well, I'd still like Haunter's design more, but I digress.

W-well I can probably forgive you in that case...

Stall gets so much undeserved hate. Hell, defensive playstyles in anything get so much undeserved hate, Smash is as good an example of that as any. People should learn to appreciate a drawn-out, calculating match instead of just "PRESS THE BUTTON TO HIT THINGS" all the time. The best Pokemon battles are the ones that go for 100+ turns tbh.

also pairs amazingly well with , who happens to be one of my favorite gen 1 Pokemon!
...not that I need to tell a stall player about Skarmchan/Skarmbliss.

Stall gets so much undeserved hate. Hell, defensive playstyles in anything get so much undeserved hate, Smash is as good an example of that as any. People should learn to appreciate a drawn-out, calculating match instead of just "PRESS THE BUTTON TO HIT THINGS" all the time. The best Pokemon battles are the ones that go for 100+ turns tbh.

I seem to be running into these types of people more often on FG. There was one person that gave me a "lovely" (note the sarcasm) little death 'threat' after bopping him with my Ganon twice and another guy that used a tag similar to the first one you showed. These people on For Salt are so sad.
3DS users have the benefit of not having to see tags which keeps stuff like this from happening.

LOL. Ghost Type Pokémon are my favorite type. Anything Ghost is amazing in my book. As you said, it's sad that Gengar gets all the perks while the other ghosts get left in spiritual dust. The thing is, Gengar probably ended up being my favorite simply because he was the only Ghost Pokémon that could fulfill the role I wanted in my team successfully. But honestly, let's say all ghosts had excellent competitive viability who would I use?

1. Mismagius (favorite Pokémon from that gen)
2. Dusknoir (Stall + Defense)
3. Chandelure
4. Gengar

I would consider Ghosts in that order if all had the same viability depending on the team.

And yes, defensive play-styles get a lot of disrespect. In Smash I can't play defensive. Fighting games for me feel like something I should be going quickly/fast paced. But for strategy games like Pokémon? Yea let me draw the game on for as long as possible. Think of all the appropriate scenarios and the best answers to particular situations. Make the correct reads on opponents moves and/or switch ins. More importantly, force my opponent to make the decisions I want him/her to make due to the status effects I apply or by having the clock run.
