So I decided to test that and the result was... Interesting to say the least.


So, from what I understand, doing a Shadow Sneak normally while shielding will result in Greninja shield dropping so he can pull it off.

However, if you input Shadow Sneak diagonally, then Greninja will be able to hold his shield while still making the shadow travel and doing so result in Greninja performing the attack without having to shield drop.

I'm not sure if this was taken out on 1.0.5 on 3DS along with Running Shadow Sneak and it's probably not all that useful but it's still a rather interesting thing to see.

Actually though, the Rob boards aren't usually that active and I could use some more Rob friends >o<
He's actually really fun and you have to try playing a round as him with Invader Invader in the background, then you will truly know the magnitude of his kawaii

I may as well share my great adventure to walmart with my friend. Ahem
I get a message earlier today asking if I could give a friend of mine to walmart close to midnight. I had time to do so naturally I said yes. Now I had no idea if they were doing a midnight release, however, about 20 minutes or so after midnight and the shelves not being stocked my friend went and found out that they had been selling them since midnight by request out of a box. Turns out the employee had not stocked the shelves and was super picky about people touching her box so she was having someone take the amiibos from the back to the front every time someone asked her for one. Best part was they only had gold mario. Great trip, at least my friend got what he wanted. funnily enough though my walmart seems to have sonic and megaman still in stock. I figured they would be sold by now

@ FullMoon FullMoon It'd be interesting if the diagonal input is actually the trick to it. My assumption was that inputting shadow sneak after the minimum shield hold time was up was the trick (which, it looks like you did in the gfy; I use the ring as a visual cue). I can't get it to work on 3DS 1.0.5, I'll unpatch later and try it in 1.0.0.

It took me a few tries to get it right because most of the time it would be the normal kind of OoS Shadow Sneak or Greninja would roll/spotdodge. I'm guessing it's probably harder to do on 3DS because lol circle pad.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was taken out in 1.0.5 though.

In any case, I need to sleep so any further testing of this I'll have to do when I wake up.

I'm really bored right now and it's ironic because this screenshot could be kinda relevant I'm doing a little series with Wario eating every character.




This is what happens when I'm bored + Sm4sh late at night.
Not sure if funny or terrifying I'm kinda sleepy to be able to think clearly.

P.S. Lucario is next.

I just played an Ike user whose strategy was pretty much the following: FThrow/BThrow to ledge. If they land, USmash; if they go offstage, run off and use Aether. It was kind of sad. The only two wins he got were when I used Zelda and SDed multiple times withe Farore's Wind. Also he rolled into my FSmash multiple times in a row.

@ Lavani Lavani I just saw your avatar's face tonight. I always assumed it had one but never noticed it before.

I haven't used Bowser Jr. much lately but I still feel he's a good fit for me, probably better than Villager tbh. Massive disjointed, lingering hitboxes with a touch of trapping ability. I can't shake the feeling that there's something off about his design though.

yeah there is no way I could actually live with myself if I played Mario

I used to play 2p by myself in smb1/3 and kill off Mario so I could play as Luigi

Scalding FLUDD is so legit though, it's kind of like Charizard's Flamethrower except you can combo off of it (and with customs on you have EJP to combo off it)

Usmash is kinda bonkers but I didn't really think his fsmash or dsmash seemed like anything special idk
