@ Lavani Lavani , can you confirm and/or add to what Cyro said about this?
For those of you that don't know, Falco can footstool out of a F-air. You have to space it correctly though, I've gotten it on many people and can confirm it as a legit combo.

is there a percent range or something for this? landing or rising fair? I'm guessing he means low percent landing>run, jump, footstool because fair's FAF is really late iirc

I think it needs bad DI to work lol

even at 0% Dark Pit's flying too far away to footstool

I have no idea since Cyro doesn't come here often and is more active in some other (SSB) forum and I don't think there are any videos on this. Of this becomes a thing that even a chimp can pull off - no offense to Diddy - then Falco's off-stage gimping game just took a level of ludicrousness.

Welp, I can't wait for the next patch. Here's what I feel will happen to Falco:
- Jab combo no longer connects, all hits do 1% while finisher does 2%.
- Dash attack sends opponents behind Falco.
- Ftilt slowed down and is weaker; comes out at frame 9 instead of 6 and does 4% instead of 9%.
- Utilt slowed down and is weaker, also second hit can whiff like Up Smash; comes out at frame 8 does 3% + 4% for 7% instead of 4% + 5% for 9%.
- Dtilt can no longer kill as early, knockback is decreased.
- Side Smash has more startup and end lag; comes out at frame 23 now.
- Up Smash does less damage and has more startup and end lag; 2% + 8% for 13% instead of 4% + 12% for 16% and comes out at frame 11 instead of 8.
- Down Smash does less damage and is slower; does 15% instead of 10% andand comes out at frame 9 instead of 7.
- Fair gains end lag to nullify footstool shenanigans.
- Uair comes out at frame 13 instead of 10.
- Bair becomes slower and weaker in knockback; cokes out at frame 9 now.
- Dair gains 1 frame of startup and does 1% less damage.
- Reflector is slower; comes out at frame 8.
- Falco Phantasm only has a hitbox for 1/5 of its distance.

+ Blaster does 0.5% more damage.

Meanwhile, with Diddy:
+ Uair becomes a frame 1 aerial.

- Uair does 2% less damage.

In winners bracket I lost to a Rosalina using Wii Fit. Should've used Zelda.

In Losers bracket I lost to a D3 using Zelda smh.

but I won 2 sets with Wii Fit and 1 with Zelda

Well to be fair, a lot of specials in this game simply don't have their animations cancelled by landing. What you really want is for him to just reduce the end lag enough for you to be able to fire in a shorthop.

Projectiles in general in this game are kinda limited though, and a lot of the better ones got nerfed in 1.0.4. I wouldn't expect Falco's blaster to get buffed again honestly, even if it's still a shell of its former glory.

Wait does that mean in 3rd?

That or actually have Falco move in the air like the pheasant he is. Of all the characters to move slowly in the air, a bird is one of them. Really?

If Falco's air speed was close to Fox's, then Falco's approach options would be way better. I mean, look at Ike! Dude's a hulk of a man, yet he glides around like Batman- Wait a minute... they both have capes... Nintendo, the next Star Fox game should feature Falco with a cape? Why? Reasons that's why. :p

As far as percentage range I don't believe there is one, but I have yet to experiment. Also, I mean a landing Fair. Of course, the move takes too long to do on stage, so it would be recommended to be performed off stage.

For example, a Falcon is recovering low, you run off the stage and Fair several frames before he reaches you with his Dive. If you timed it right, the last hit won't connect leaving Falcon getting frame-trapped above you in order for you to get the footstool.

I have video proof that I can upload if you guys would like

Considering Lavani likes analyzing stuff and it would be easier to understand what's going on, a video would be nice.
