Still debating whether I should forge a Rapier or not. Brave Sword's good, but Alm's route has a lot of enemy armor and cavalry and Gray having effective damage on them would be really useful. A Zweihander on Celica's route might be okay since that's just an evolved Steel Sword. It's just weird because I didn't know what a gold purse did and Celica ended up having +5 gold marks when I activated Mila's Bounty 3 to get the Taurus Shard to help out Palla and a couple of other characters' level ups who were falling behind a bit from the others. Anyway, I feel like I shouldn't have the flexibility that I have with forging on Celica's route since at least on Alm's route, you can get two exotic spices to sell for 3 gold marks each.

Also, freebie +Spd, -HP 3* Bartre from Raven and Lucius's BHB banner.

I made it to the Root of the World Tree, so I've stopped there so I can go and do all the sidequests or as many as possible.

Also, for the short amount of time I had to play as Jin in Chapter 8; he is GOD DAMN powerful. Capable of doing Break > Topple > Launch > Smash all at once is just amazing and a sight to behold (He even manages to take out many of the enemies there from just half of their health which is amazing). I outright believe Jin is literally Cloud Strife; same character designer, same VA; IT'S GOT TO BE A BLOODY COINCIDENCE. :V (Though my one issue with Jin's Japanese VA is that it sounds like he can't really do dramatic yells; so when Lora gets shot, it sounds more like a loud growl instead of calling out to her.)

I do like the idea of Rex becoming a True Driver as well; and I was so torn on whether to call Pyra/Mythra's True Form either one, but I went with Pyra. Because she's a good girl.

I did like how they showed you how he can use everyone else's Blades by having Poppi and Brighid join you; showing you that while you can have Brighid join Rex, Poppi cannot due to her being an Artificial Blade and Tora would be defenseless due to not having the capability of bonding with Blades. And I bet I can use Dromarch/Byakko and Nia/Niyah with Rex so that way, Dromarch doesn't get left behind with the rewards from his Tree.

Oh, and the 3rd battle theme is GODLIKE!

Also, played some more Duel Links. Almost finished my 5th Round of Battle City, might as well give my thoughts on them so for those that are playing Duel Links (Then again, it's only me and Buddhahobo ) if the rewards are worth it.

It's a nice event, with quick and easy ways to get Rewards via the Lottery such as Gems and Cards.

HOWEVER! The rewards are terrible. One of the rewards you can get via the Lottery and beating one of the Rounds of Battle City is Panther Warrior. PANTHER. WARRIOR. And it's an UR. Not a good start to say the least.

For those who don't know what Panther Warrior does, it's a Level 4 Beast-Warrior with 2000 ATK and 1600 DEF, sounds pretty good so far.

It's effect is it cannot attack unless you tribute one monster on your side of the field. That really cripples it, if it didn't have this effect; it would be amazing and easily replace beaters like Vorse Raider; but that effect just ruins it. I do not recommend running this card, unless you want to run it for memes.

But the Lottery does give us a chance to get some Kuribohs if we did miss out on them. So that's nice; overall, the Event is fun and quick; but the rewards are outright terrible. I'd say only go up to Round 5 of Battle City, then stop; the only other rewards are 4000 Coins from Round 6 - 10. Don't bother.

I'm also close to getting Bonz to Lv. 40 now; he's sitting at Lv. 30, so I will probably be grinding him up a bit for Scare, Break, Yuki-Onna and KotSS.

Oh wow, gotta say, the amount of "walk to the next cutscene" got amped up at one particular part into oblivion. But we got one of the best References to older games I've seen.

The bossfight was... underwhelming, but WOW, I am beyond happy, about the tie-in of the past Xenoblade. Like, really. Thats insanity. Real freaking great.

And also, wasn't it kinda a plot-hole, that one of the strongest fighters against Malos, friend of "the hero" wasn't recognized by Malos himself, as he picked Jin up? Or vice-versa?

But still. I am beyond happy to hear shulk's voice. I even watched it in english ASAP to check for it. So good.

Has anyone seen the Blade Runner Black Out 2022 anime? An advertisement of it showed up while watching Konohana Kitan and apparently it's directed by the Shinichiro Watanabe, the director of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Black Out 2022 itself is part of a series of prequels to Blade Runner 2049. I've never watched the original Blade Runner or read the novel it adapted Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? and I probably should. Seems pretty interesting and the art style is cool. At first, I thought it was an ad for Under the Dog because one of the characters resembled the protagonist. Apparently Under the Dog was released on August 1, 2016, so there's that.

I'd probably go with Wingslayer or Dragonslayer. Both let her break wyverns despite the weapon disadvantage, just depends on what side benefit you'd rather have between killing pegasus riders or Tiki/Corrin/manaketes.

Tbh 720mt weapons are so ridiculous I didn't even add a slayer and gave her First Class to farm weapons for other characters instead. Other weapon slots are +C3, +C5, +C6, Rainstorm, and Pair Up+.

I'm used to people being too broke from christmas to get me any gifts, I'm used to my birthday being treated like a side event on New Years, but this year hardly any of my family showed up.

I completed my first Blade Affinity Chart, that being Agate's. Meanwhile, i'm in the hell that is Ursula's sidequest. My God, that is probably the worst sidequest in the series. It's just Merc Mission after Merc Mission and it's the most tedious thing. And you might ask "Armagon, why do it then if it's so tedious" to which i respond "because i want to fill out every Affinity Chart".

Turns out that when it asks you to choose between Pyra and Mythra for the true form, it determines the Affinity Chart used for the true form. So from a gameplay perspective, choosing Mythra is the right anwser since her passives are better than Pyra's (getting a crit=recharging an Art by 20-100% depending on what level Lightspeed Flurry is at).

I didn't know that at the time so i chose Pyra but i don't really regret that.

And yes, that 3rd battle theme is amazing

Spoiler: Xenoblade 2 Final Chapter spoilers

Yeah, the Aion boss fight wasn't that hard. I only died once and that's because it did the thing where it goes to the back of the room for like two minutes then does Siren Buster. The final boss theme was pretty meh too. I mean, it was good but it ain't the majesty that is "Zanza" though it is comparable to God-Slaying Sword.

As for Malos recruiting Jin, i doubt Malos knew or cared since during the war his main priority was just destroying everything and defeating Mythra. As for Jin, he basically felt that he had no purpose until Malos showed him one. They pretty much establish that. Regardless, it's clear that the two (and the rest of Torna) actually cared for each other, and i like that.

It's interesting though because we never knew who fought on Malos' side during the Aegis War.....other than the Artifices.

And yes, the tie-in to Xenoblade 1 was amazing. When i heard the words "we've been locked out.....by Professor Klaus" my jaw just dropped and then later one when you hear Shulk's voice coming from the other dimension during the final battle....it was just too good. I love it. Also, the Conduit is basically the Zohar from Xenosaga, from what i know. It's even got the same shape and general color.

I remember months ago when Takahashi said that Xenoblade 1 and 2 had no story connections. Takahashi, you clever boy. Fool the audience into thinking there were no direct connections between the two games and hit them with one of the biggest plot twists in gaming history. I've seen people who are playing Xenoblade 2 as their first game in the series and i kinda feel bad because the final chapter won't be as impactful if they haven't played the first game yet.

I only watched three anime to completion during the Fall season (those being Girls' Last Tour, Umaru 2nd Season and Blend S, all good shows btw) and now's basically the part where i go back and watch any anime that may have fallen under the radar and i'm mildly interested in Konohana Kitan.

If you like cute fox girls doing cute things and rhombus faces, then sure.

For real, though, Konohana Kitan does delve into Japanese mythology and folklore, so if you're into that or find it interesting, then it's fun watch. Also, some "other" stories, but that's related to a twist I don't want to spoil. It doesn't start to delve into those things until episode two where I would say it's a bit subtle. The later episodes are more apparent with whatever it's about at the time and some people have been hit by feels with some of the stories. I'd recommend it and I was pleasantly surprised it was more than just a comfy anime about fox girls running an inn and/or doing wacky, silly, or cute things.

Meanwhile, in SoV, I forged a Rapier for Gray after having him finish learning Brave Sword's combat arts and a Zweihander for Celica's route as I got Kamui to level up and become a dread fighter which thinking back on it, was probably going to happen because of something...

Apparently you cannot proceed after Rigel Village since an earthquake happens and necrodragons attack and spawn on the space before it. So, I have no choice, but to continue with Celica's route which means I'm going to have to fight Jedah and since I want to beat him just for the sake of doing so, then I'm going to have to figure out something for that. I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of mages and terrors and having Kamui also be a dread fighter would help with Jesse since Jedah can only be damaged every fourth attack. Maybe I should just get Saber to dread fighter as well even though he'd likely be overpowered with the level ups he had giving him good all-around stats and also make Celica's route even more over-leveled since I'd have three dread fighters who were leveled to 20 for mercenary and myrmidon. I think sniper Atlas and Leon should be fine, especially if I decide to just forge the Silver Bow to a Killer Bow, but I kind of don't want to since for whatever reason, I want my characters to learn their combat arts for whatever weapon they're using which explains why Jesse's currently equipped with a forged Golden Dagger, but that doesn't matter since Jesse's way ahead of everyone in Celica's army.

So, I have Zeke now and I kind of like Patrick Seitz as him more than Travis Willingham. Travis makes Camus/Zeke/Sirius sound very "bold". It works, but looking at Camus's artwork, I feel like he looks like someone who is proud and gallant, but not to so bold and shout-y as Travis portrayed him. That's kind of something that might make more sense with Cain, Forsyth, or Kieran. Patrick is a bit more like Camus's Japanese voice actor, Kazuhiko Inoue, where he's calmer, but you still get that sense of knightliness. That being said, I don't know what Camus, as Zeke, sounds like in the Japanese audio of SoV. Could easily check that.

For other things, the Ilwoon doesn't get much, so I decided not to forge one. It's like SoV's Armorslayer, but if you had to forge a Shadow Sword with a gold coin and you have to activate its combat art, Death Blow, to have effective damage on armors. The much cheaper alternative is to use mages or a Steel Lance which has Armorcrush and you get a crapton of those on Alm's route; the lances and armors. On Celica's route, kind of useless since she doesn't encounter much armors from what I've seen and once again, you could just use mages which she has a ton of or even the Whitewings, especially if they have a Blessed Lance and are Falcon Knights, if the armors are terrors. Forging the Shadow Sword into a Brave Sword with 50 silver seems more useful and you can still forge it back to a Shadow Sword for 50 silver again and get the Ilwoon with one gold or forge the Brave Sword into a Rapier for passive effectiveness against armor and cavalry at the cost of lower base Mt and critical, but rapiers are much lighter and more accurate.

Lastly for this post, dread fighters kind of make me dizzy. I get that they're kind of supposed to be like swordmasters or the mystical, flashy warriors, especially the ones from the GBA and probably before FE games where they have these amazing critical hits and animations in general, but with how close the camera is, some of their attacks seem really busy. The kick into slash is cool, but then you have this weird upside dash hit which I still don't know if that's what they're doing and the critical hit animation reminds me of the myrmidon and swordmaster critical hits of the GBA games, but like I said, the camera just doesn't do it justice and it kind of feels out of place with how "normal" the other classes' attacks are. I say this having just seen what I think was Zeke's horse kicking a necrodragon and bow knights flipping an arrow onto the bow and somehow firing an accurate shot? Bow knights firing on the move from close range is one thing, but that... Wut? And not to mention paladins having their horses do jumping twirls so they can do a spinning slash with a lance.

Edit: What? Why is that lobster there? One full summon since I have to clear my barracks. Currently at 536/540 units.

Anyway, I've made a bunch of sidequest progress in XC2. I'll list some of the quests I did in a spoiler.

Spoiler: Sidequests done

They were all lengthy ones that I did.

Managed to do Azami's sidequest and Nim's sidequests, and I will admit; Nim's was more cute then serious which I can see why. She's just running around looking for those Phonex to talk to.

I also did the sidequest of figuring out the murderer of Sulct's wife; I had to choose what I should do with Jac's father. They were either turn him into the Ardanian Army, Banish him from Mor Ardain or let him run freely.

I did choose the first option; even though he knows what he did was wrong all for revenge, I felt like it was the most realistic option. I also looked to see what other Blade Sidequest I had to do, there was one I unintentionally activated back in Chapter 6 for Wulfric, so I still need to get that quest done.

I also need to get the sidequests done to unlock Theory and also find Electra's sidequest as well; gotta help out the crybaby of course. :V

And thanks for the notification on that Armagon , but oh well; I made my mind on what to call her.

It is a shame for both; that the Battle City rewards are garbo and that you missed out on Bonz; guess that mean you won't be running Skull Servant or Ghostrick anytime soon; I will be trying to make a Dark Magician deck though from Arkana's rewards though. I did see Gunsblazing's stream and highlight video of him running it with Arkana; it's a solid deck with more support, but he did mention that Yami Yugi's Destiny Draw skill would be best suited for the DM Deck, sure Arkana's skill of drawing one of 3 random Dark Magician support is nice and all; but not being able to get what you want can be a huge drawback.

I am missing a few cards to make the deck work though, obviously missing Arkana's higher level rewards, the others being Sergeant Electro (x2) and Legion (x2). I will attempt to get some Floodgates for Ghostrick and Mirror Walls too.

Since it's the final day of 2017; might as well end this year with some good yuri.

Also, I absurdly hate gold-chip grinding. I was fine with pentagon chips, with mirror matter chips. But really? Gold ones have a lower drop-chance than anything I've yet seen.

Oh i remember that one. It was pretty easy except for the one part where you need to fight three Gogols. I remember being like 20 levels higher and they still beat me like three times. I don't understand how.

Yeah, Xenoblade 2 has some very long cutscenes and them being too long at times is a valid complaint, even if the stuff in the cutscenes is great. I was just so invested in the story that i didn't realize how long some could get until i went back and watched the custscenes via the event theater.

Thats the method I currently use. I got so many of the bonus xp stuff, and still no gold chip.

Camilla was what I really wanted, partly because I never got Elincia. That'll give me three solid red fliers to work with (Caeda, a -ATK Nowi, and NY Camilla).

Well, Zelda Boards are kinda of a meme. From the start.
So I guess it goes well being the most active social board, after we hit a strong drought of smash content.

+spd is best nature for all of the dancers because it helps prevent doubles if they need to tank a hit

And at least you can either merge your Aquas or use the spare as Hone Fliers fodder

I also have -atk Nowi. She’s not bad, but I don’t really use her bc I don’t want to actually give her Raudrblade and all of that stuff. Also Caeda is the only red flier for me so nty

I used a gift card from Christmas to buy 75 more orbs

I got 2 more Aquas from sessions that didn’t have any red orbs wtf

At the very least, one of them was +atk -hp, which is good. Not sure if I should merge both Aquas into the +atk one or save one for Hone Fliers. I’ll probs end up merging bc she’s limited and the additional BST helps

I also got a +atk -spd Katarina lol. I hate her awful hair, so I’ll fodder her off for Swift Sparrow again (or maybe Raudrowl+ idk)

Still no Caedas or Sword Camillas because life is hell

After rethinking my FEH prioties, I transformed my whaling days into feathers. I'm only going to be building characters I LIKE, not just because I have them or they have DA BESS stats. I sent away my +10 Takumi and got some dope amount of feathers. I sent away a bunch of the other characters I'd never use and the fodders that have been sitting there forever for no reason. I'd do the same to my Ryoma but he's voiced by Matt Mercer so that's harder to do but 11k featherssssss omg.

I want Airzura and NY!Takumi. Already spent 30 orbs and nothing yet, but that's to be expected. I mostly want NY!Takumi and then just Airzura. A flying Airzura means she can get guidance which would be perfect for an Infantry team. I wouldn't be too broken up about it tho, because when we get Herons they'll be the flying singers so w/e.

My first +10 project from the bottom up will be Felicia. I'm still working on her by getting her support to S while getting SP on the Camilla map. I need a NY!Takumi to get Bond Atk/Res since I think it will be better than Fury 3 in the long run. I was hoping to get her a wind blessing for even more hilarious amounts of res but w/e. When being attacked she'll have 53 res with the bond and distant def seal. Good luck doubling her or hitting her for 93 dmg. loooooooool rip magic heauxes

So, I've set up Celica at the Sage's Hamlet and went to The Lost Treescape to level up some units. Mainly Catria and Est since they're 3 levels off from being level 20 pegasus knights and having them be falcon knights would be helpful. Really helpful since apparently fiends prowl the area and I didn't know that since during my first visit there, I only saw dark mages and the free experience entombed. I say that since in the Fear Mountain Shrine, there is an entombed in one of the areas and I thought it was the ones who'd run away, but it didn't and I was attacked instead. Anyway, fiends are terror barons, so they hit hard, have high defense, and take 50% less damage from bow users. For Atlas who has decent defense, stupid HP, and can attack from faraway, it's not that big of a deal. For Catria and Est, it's scarier since they have to fight up close.

Terrors, especially the later ones, are bulky in general and they tend to hit really hard or have disgusting effects like the zombies with poison or movement-lock claws. Having the Whitewings be falcon knights by now is probably what you're supposed to do since you'd be able to stack their effective damage against terrors as falcon knights with Blessed Lances or just tank them with a Blessed Shield that was sent over from Alm's side. Sometimes you can't have the mercenaries or Valbar tank them and sometimes you can't do a lot of damage with the mages since some of the terrors have decent resistance.

And in other news of Atlas does dumb ****, he just capped his HP, is 2 points from capping attack, and gained enough speed to be as fast as Leon. His skill is lower than Leon's, but he hits so damn hard and now he can double about the same enemies that Leon can. I just brought him along since he was close to getting Silver Bow's Ward Arrow and figured that he'd be useful for fighting some of the enemies like the dark mages so that Catria and Est don't die from being swarmed. While I knew being under level 10 meant you gained a lot of experience, I didn't know how much he'd gain from the enemies in here, so now he's a level 7 sniper with capped HP and almost capped attack. I think he was level 4 when I started.

Why is this getting an anime

I'd looked at the manga awhile back and thought it was cute at first, but it's super repetitive fluff. I don't really see how there's enough lasting appeal to make an anime out of it unless it's like a short single season cashgrab, but maybe I'm just outside the target audience and don't understand
