So I threw money at FEH. Again. Because I am garbage.
Got Airzura at the 70 orb mark, +res/-hp nature which is decent enough for me. But even better, I got 3 Felicias. Yeeeeeeeeeee. I'll keep throwing my orbs at colorless until I get NY!Takumi. Res/ATK Bond is too perfect to give up. Then there's his damn dagger which annoys the ever loving crap out of me because it's so good, but there aren't any dagger users who can make it do something good.
Also **** Chain Challenges. Those stats are just way too inflated that even my more OP units are like "wut is dis even???"
I only recently started reading manga and don't watch anime, so no
On the basis of simply giving a good series more exposure though, It's My Life could do with one, and to my knowledge that's actually a thing that is or is going to be in the works as of recently.
After rethinking my FEH prioties, I transformed my whaling days into feathers. I'm only going to be building characters I LIKE, not just because I have them or they have DA BESS stats. I sent away my +10 Takumi and got some dope amount of feathers. I sent away a bunch of the other characters I'd never use and the fodders that have been sitting there forever for no reason. I'd do the same to my Ryoma but he's voiced by Matt Mercer so that's harder to do but 11k featherssssss omg.
I want Airzura and NY!Takumi. Already spent 30 orbs and nothing yet, but that's to be expected. I mostly want NY!Takumi and then just Airzura. A flying Airzura means she can get guidance which would be perfect for an Infantry team. I wouldn't be too broken up about it tho, because when we get Herons they'll be the flying singers so w/e.
My first +10 project from the bottom up will be Felicia. I'm still working on her by getting her support to S while getting SP on the Camilla map. I need a NY!Takumi to get Bond Atk/Res since I think it will be better than Fury 3 in the long run. I was hoping to get her a wind blessing for even more hilarious amounts of res but w/e. When being attacked she'll have 53 res with the bond and distant def seal. Good luck doubling her or hitting her for 93 dmg. loooooooool rip magic heauxes
It hurts to hear you give up all those crazy units, but hey, it’s a good mindset to have. Gotta remember to have fun with this game, and not just worry about the most viable things to do. I’m trying to do the same :3
My current +10 project is still Corrin, but since I never pull any of him anymore I’ve been working on a bunch of themed teams:
Right now I have:
Chrobin - Chrom, Robin, Santa Chrom, and Santa Robin
RGBY Shepards - Sully, Stahl, Frederick, Lissa
Sacred Stones - Eirika, Ephraim, Seth, Innes
Valentia ALMy - Alm, Celica, Delthea, Sonya (I’ll probably ditch Delthea once my Lukas is built)
Askran Army - Alfonse, Sharena, Anna, Fjorm
Then after that, it’s:
Horse - Cecilia, BRoy, Berkut, Sigurd
Armor - Burger King (Black Knight), Hector, Chrom, Robin
And then my last two teams are saved for training and stuff like TT and Voting Gauntlets
Most of them are built kinda average or haven’t been touched at all, but I’ll get there. Recently I finished Eirika and Ephraim:
Seal Def isn’t perfect but I didn’t know what else I should’ve given her other than Drag Back. The the Atk/Def Bond was from an extra, bad IV Fjorm I had :3
And I made a neat Minerva for the day when I finally make a flier team:
Just add a Red sword flier that is male and likeable pls and thnx
Ok but seriously, besides the JoJo Parts that haven't gotten an anime yet (i'm really looking forward to that Part 7 anime in like 2025), i can't really think of any since i usually watch the anime first and then read the manga but that's only happened sometimes (those sometimes being JoJo, Fairy Tail, Rave Master, One Punch Man, Yona of the Dawn, and Himouto! Umaru-chan). But if i had to pick, it'd be Fire Emblem: Hasha no Tsurugi. It's a retelling of Binding Blade but it's the best Fire Emblem manga out there and in general, it made me appreciate Binding Blade more.
Like, i'm not a big manga guy. I much prefer anime since it conveys everything much better.
Heauxs, I don’t really make New Years resolutions. Can’t remember a year I did, and you should consider skipping the ‘tradition.’ Why? Because if you were going to it a new house, lose weight, gain weight, or anything of the sort, if it truly matters to you, you should care and have already begun to invest your time and effort into it before the turn of a year. Because it should be bigger than a cliched once-a-year thing.
For me losing 80 pounds was an, honestly, emotionally painful near-year experience until I finally hit a healthy and satisfying weight, and I started that at the end of October 2016. It took intention and action, NOT a resolution, and not the turn of another undayisfied and unhealthy year.
This is kind of out of nowhere, but with my own new year only an hour away (CST gorls <3) I felt like sharing my strong feeling that what matters shouldn’t wait, nor be stuck with the stigma of “New Years resolutions” with which you’re only thinking about when or if you’ll BREAK it. That’s just a limit, a boundary! I love yew all and want you to make it where you want to be, so don’t hold yourselves back!
I'd looked at the manga awhile back and thought it was cute at first, but it's super repetitive fluff. I don't really see how there's enough lasting appeal to make an anime out of it unless it's like a short single season cashgrab, but maybe I'm just outside the target audience and don't understand
the little girls are going to cook food outdoors and the hyperactive annoying girl is going to be amazed by everything
I dunno. All I can say is that I've noticed a lot of slice of life and comfy anime. Iyashikei I think is the genre of those kind of anime. Not to say it's bad or oversaturated, but maybe it's just the trend of anime for this time.
As for Yuru Camp itself, I didn't know what it was and watched a trailer of it out of curiosity. I think I was drawn by the art style looking peculiar. Except for everything else feeling normal, the girl who ran into window makes me feel like this could be a very dumb anime or at least there's going to be a lot of dumb stuff. Dumb and campy -- pun not intended -- stuff is simply amusing to me, so I'm kind of interested in what sort of stupid **** can happen because of that girl.
On another note, I swear I remember seeing clips of another anime about camping recently. I think it might have been one of the fall 2017 anime. Then again, there's probably an anime, cartoon, comic, manga, whatever about anything. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an anime about Cup Noodles. Oh, wait, there kind of is: Final Fantasy XV Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san (Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles). Totally going to watch that because it's so dumb. Man, I want an anime exclusively about pickles, but with an all-male cast because why not!
And on a more conflicted and negative side, Shadows of Valentia...
Kamui ruined Jedah's fight by landing a critical with Roundhouse, one of the combat arts for Silver Sword. He did around 72 damage on Jedah instantly killing him on the second round of damaging him which I think happened on turn four. Because Jesse with a Blessed Sword didn't do much damage to Jedah despite landing two consecutive critical hits on him -- Jesse things, he constantly does this for whatever reason -- and Jedah was healing 10 HP per turn, I figured I'd have Kamui hit him once to do a as much damage as possible, but not too much and so he would have a lesser chance at getting a critical had he been able to double. Nope, Kamui decided it he would decide Jedah's fate. Essentially, I thought it would be and wanted a longer fight while knowing that Jedah would run away at a certain point.
Was it a difficult fight even with the units I feel like were overleveled? Yeah, because the Whitewings were still taking a bit of damage from mogalls and the fiends were definitely taking chunks of people's health regardless if they had decent defense outside of Valbar, but I had him sit in a corner to support Leon. One fiend had a Silver Lance that I failed to notice and he tore through Palla's defense. Thankfully, no other enemies, mogalls, were in range, so she was safe. Jedah himself requiring three rounds of combat before you can damage him on the fourth round also makes it difficult when you need to be able to hit him safely and the best ways seem to be with archers, dread fighters, and high resistance mages. Concentrating attacks on him means the other enemies have free reign to damage or even kill other people. Granted, fiends have low movement, but I think almost all of them were equipped with javelins, so they had 1-2 range, and as I mentioned, when they hit, they hit hard. Still, I thought it would have been harder since I thought there would have been other cantors or at least other dark mages fighting with Jedah and not just Jedah, some fiends, and mogalls who can multiply. Also, the use a Silver Bow to land Ward Arrow on Jedah plan was immediately made invalid when it turns out that Jedah nullifies attacks instead of taking no damage until the fourth round of combat.
The thing that irritated me was what happened after the battle. At this point in the game, Celica had spoken with Jedah before where he's trying to lure her to her death or worse since he wants to sacrifice her to Duma with the promise it would save Alm or at least end his need to fight Rigel or in general. It was at the start of the battle that everyone learned she spoke with Jedah before. Maybe not exactly what he wanted, but that she spoke with him, he wants her life, and that she said nothing to them. Not Mae, a close friend, Boey or Genny, Conrad, her own brother, or even Nomah, a mentor and someone who protected her. I kind of want to add in Sonya because she knows who Jedah is and what he does which kind of surprised me that there wasn't a cutscene where Sonya talks to Celica about this. Anyway, with Mae, one of her base conversation after Celica and Jedah's talk in the beginning of Act 4 is asking Celica if she's hiding anything and that she doesn't have to because she's there for her. With Conrad, the reason he's even here with her is because he watched her stand there and almost throw her life away after fighting Dolth who was about to drag her to Duma Tower. That lead to him, I think, slapping her and retorting that of course he knows how she feels when she's her brother. I get that it's been a while since they've seen each other, but they're close which is apparently not enough when Conrad asks her at the beginning of Jedah's map if anything's wrong knowing she's really bad at hiding that there is nothing wrong.
And then Saber's reaction. That one got to me. Saber is a mercenary hired by Celica to protect her. So, it seems like all he has is just a contract with her where he's paid to protect her. In other words, he doesn't have any real obligation to her other than being a decent guy who wouldn't let someone die or get hurt when he's around and capable of defending them. During their journey, one of the things you learn about Saber is that he has a younger sister who Celica reminds him of. It's never said, but I get the feeling that part of the reason Saber stays with Celica for so long and tries his best to advise and protect her is because he's reminded of his sister. So, when Saber asks what the hell was that about where Celica hid from everyone about her conversation with Jedah and what he wanted and almost getting them killed, part of me wondered if the reason why Saber was so angry like that was because he knew she was going to get herself killed and or seriously hurt and in a way, it would have been like watching his sister get hurt, die, or worse. It could have been Conrad who yelled at her again or Mae, Nomah, or even Valbar who mentions that she gave him a reason for continuing and living after his revenge mission, but it wasn't, instead it was Saber and that just struck me and made me wonder.
Regardless of whatever I think about Saber, his reaction pretty much nails my frustration with Celica right now. Seriously, why are you not telling anyone about this? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself it, but I think it's implied that Celica's ready to die for Alm. What the ****? What about Alm's feelings? He's definitely not going to be happy learning about the person he loves sacrificing themselves like that. Nobody will be if Mae's cries to Dolth to let go of Celica, Conrad trying to slap some sense into her, or Saber angrily asking what the hell is going on. Maybe they won't understand exactly what's going on or what she's feeling, but come on, these are your trusted friends and allies. Leaving them out of the dark like this is just stupid, especially with everything that's been happening.
I don't know, I just feel very conflicted with Celica which is also how I feel about Alm, but he hasn't pulled something stupid enough that would make me feel very frustrated about him. So, I don't dislike or hate them, but they're making it hard to like some of the things they're doing. The funny thing is they're reminding me of Final Fantasy X. Mainly Celica reminding me of Yuna because at a certain point in FFX, Yuna pulls a similar thing that Celica does where she sacrifices herself in some way for what she believes is the better good. She tells nobody about this and in both cases, things would have probably went differently if Celica and Yuna told their friends about what was going on.
Also, I remembered seeing videos titles saying Sonya had a special fight conversation, but I didn't get a chance to see that in-game because somebody decided to end the fight early. So, I looked it up and man, I love Sonya. Sonya and Genny were the first characters I heard from watching a video of their support not knowing that supports would be fully voiced. She made an awesome impression of the game's voice acting and continues to be an awesome character. Bonus points, sort of, for being the only priestess other than Celica with decent defense, so Sonya would also be a good user of the Ladyblade or stuff like the Blessed Shield since she and Celica can take physical hits more easily than Mae. Still would have preferred it if mages promoting to priestesses and Celica promoting gained +1 movement.

-snip bcuz it srsly bugged my preview jajaja-
Just add a Red sword flier that is male and likeable pls and thnx
Also it's probably best to just ditch whatever units you don't actually like so it's not really a bad thing to ditch 5*s if you truly won't need them. Some of them are just absolutely useless without the appropriate nature and lack valuable SI stuff. So it's them taking up a slot forever OR 1k feathers. 1k feather pls.
I had 3 5* Jakobs just sitting there. Like. No. WTF is he going to do besides be a hot/fierce/probably crazy husbando? Gimme dat 3k. Then there was a +SPD/-ATK Lilina idk wtf that even was all about.

Here's a fun game: what are some of the things you're looking forward too in 2018. It could be anything really. I'm gonna divide mine into three categories
Am i gonna get judged for looking forward to Gal*Gun 2? Yeah, the series is just fan-service but it's also an Inti Creates series so i have faith that it'll be a legitimately good game.
Seriously, where's Part 5?
Technically, the My Hero Academia movie should be going here but i think it's more fitting in the anime category
And on a more personal note, i will be graduating High School this year. Looking forward to that.
Woohoo! I got New Year's Camilla! She's +Def, -HP which for all intents and purposes makes her a flying +Atk and +Def, -Res Selena. Kind of hilarious since my first Selena that I settled on for this file is +Def, -HP.
5* New Year's Camilla: +Def, -HP.
3* Felicia: +Atk, -HP.
3* Hinata: +Spd, -Def.
4* Roderick: +Res, -Spd. The opposite of the one I got yesterday.
4* Seth: +HP, -Res. I was planning a physical wall build for Bartre and I did consider Fortress Def 3 on him since Bartre can take the -3 attack penalty.
I think I'm done with this banner since I wanted Camilla the most and while I would have liked to have summoned Azura and Takumi, my luck with Azura has been atrocious, so I'm not even going to try and I like Takumi's "Party time" map select quote, but once again, I'm not going to try since it took a miracle for regular Takumi to even show up. Also, assuming NY M!Corrin is even obtainable, then I technically would have gotten two New Year's units and I'm fine with that.
HAPPY NEW YEAR GORLS!
Let's hope it's a good one.
I missed the New Years ceremony in New Leaf because life>life simulators. I almost feel bad, since Isabelle gave me something I was to use for the ceremony when I played it early on the day.
It's New Years, it's also past 4:30 in the morning, and with the remaining 130 Orbs i had after summoning NY!Azura, i just went all out on the Legendary Banner
Most of them are Green units since i was mainly aiming for Gunnthra and i got her and more. I got one of the best Armors in the game and another Fjorm. Gonna merge her into the Fjorm i got from the story. This Fjorm may have better IVs but i've already invested a lot into the original Fjorm. As a F2P-player, this feels good. Saving up Orbs is very worth it. I still have like 40 Orbs remaining and i'm gonna save them gor later.

if you merge units the skills all get transferred over tho
i spent my new years playing blazblue and going on a 50 game losing streak against another player online.
definitely learned a lot from those matches tho
Happy New Year Fire Emblem social. Here's to 2018!
So the new box is out in Duel Linls; Primal Burst. Tried opening a few packs from it, and honestly the box is meh.
I'm still going to focus on the Dark Magician and Ghostrick Decks tho, as much as I feel like SixSam can improve with the new support in the box; it does feel like a lot of effort just to get SixSam working due to the fears of bricking.
Also, I started doing Electra's sidequest. Gotta help that crybaby.
Yeah, ok, so i just found out that Xord and Muimui share the same voice actor. And someone made this. The best part is how well their lines fit in the context of the other.
Like, i'm not a big manga guy. I much prefer anime since it conveys everything much better.
I myself am more of a manga reader, because I catched myself often just skipping things in animes the past years, where mangas are literal container of condensed informations I can absorb.
Still gotta say, that anime is objectively better than manga, if its done good (like Fma:Brotherhood / HunterXHunter)
It "can" be a better way to convey things, but at occasions (like Black-clover) it just way worse than the manga.
I am not talking about fillers, because thats kinda a given that they will be often worse.
There are rare exceptions, like this video is nicely explaining.
But fillers aside, some things, that even in JoJo part 4 wasn't done to perfection, was Kira's facial expressions. They are nice and all, but they had a hard time to convey the sinister, yet calm manga expressions.
Same with the scene
... where kira is already in his new life, "talking" to his wife. It was just... sad how this was made.
But still! I agree with you. Anime is definitely the superior medium. It just has to be perfected over time.
Edit: Wow, I can't for the love of god find that video, that was presenting one of the most well done filler arcs in anime... will post it whenever I find it.
Seeing Smefanye's -- I don't remember which gorl this is, Virtue? -- Saizo holding the Kagami Mochi was the reason I even summoned last night. I was going to hold off for a new banner two weeks later since the New Year's banner is up for a month, but I figured why not try and get something dumb and it would have been my third summon to maybe fourth summon of the New Year's banner. I got NY Camilla and that's good enough for me. And now I patiently wait for new GHBs, preferably ones involving Ashnard, Aversa, Walhart, and Sacred Stones Selena because it's not like we don't have regular or easy access to a high defense sword flier or flying mage or even have axe cavaliers with legendary/personal weapons or another option for a red cavalry mage or green which Gunnthra's a 5* and 8% rates don't guarantee she's or anyone else is even going to show up.
Do any of you guys have specific recommendations? Kinda want to give them a spin y'know? I got Generations for the 3DS, and Adventure 2 seems pretty cool but idk I'm not sure
Honestly, the music makes me want to play these games, they're some good stuff
I think that's why i prefer anime over manga, actually. Yeah, mangas are more condensed but it's because of that that i end up blazing through them. Take JoJo Parts 5, 6, and 7. It took me about 2-3 days to finish each one. Another example, the Yona of the Dawn manga. I started where the anime ended off. Took me about 3 days to completely catch up (and i think new chapters came out last month, since it's one of those manga that publishes multiple chapters every few months as opposed to one per week/month). So yeah, i don't have anything against manga, and i do enjoy them when i read them, but i prefer anime for two main reasons
Being able to actually hear what's going on and see it in motion instead of just reading it. The emotions, characters personalities, motions, etc, feel much more alive when i hear it. That's what i mean by "anime conveys things better".
I haven't watched Black Clover, nor do i plan on it, but from what everyone tells me, the main reason why the manga is superior in this case is because you don't have to deal with Asta's screams. Heck, even the Black Clover dub is better than the sub by default because of that.
But fillers aside, some things, that even in JoJo part 4 wasn't done to perfection, was Kira's facial expressions. They are nice and all, but they had a hard time to convey the sinister, yet calm manga expressions.
Didn't the Blu-Ray version fix some of the animation of Part 4? I know they did with the infamous Killer Queen debut, where Killer Queen looked off when it first appeared in the TV version but looked much better in the Blu-Ray version.
Do any of you guys have specific recommendations? Kinda want to give them a spin y'know? I got Generations for the 3DS, and Adventure 2 seems pretty cool but idk I'm not sure

I've only played Sonic 1, Sonic 3?, Adventures 1 and 2, Heroes, and Shadow the Hedgehog, and Riders: Zero Gravity, but that's a racing game. Adventures 1 and 2 are all right, but I'm not sure how well they aged. The early Sonic games, so Sonic 1 to 3, especially 2, are the ones that a lot of people say are good and that people wished more Sonic games were like. I think I've played the demo for Sonic 4 and it's all right, but people didn't like it for some reason. I think it was due to the different physics or something. Heroes was meh, but I think it was mainly because I had no idea what I was doing when I played it and the same can be said for Shadow the Hedgehog.
For games I've never played, so take this how you will, Colors, Generations, and Mania I've heard were good. I've been meaning to pick up a copy of Colors for the Wii, but haven't gotten around to it. Sonic games tend to have good soundtracks and I really like Colors's. Gameplay-wise, I think Colors was the one to define modern Sonic gameplay where you can boost, sidestep, etc., in 3D gameplay sections and have 2D sections; things that were introduced or done in the previous Sonic games of that generation, but I guess they weren't implemented as well as in Colors. So, the Secret Rings, Unleashed, and the Black Knight. I've played the demo for Unleashed and liked the mechanics that were introduced to modern Sonic's gameplay, but the werehog part was a bit weird since it's a beat 'em up and Sonic's a game I associate with fairly high speed platforming. Anyway, since Generations combines classic 2D Sonic gameplay and post-Colors, modern Sonic gameplay, it looks pretty good too and was well-received from what I remember hearing about it. Sonic Forces kind of continues that sort of gameplay and adds the ability to play as your own Sonic OC. Not sure if Forces was well-received or not. Sonic Mania is basically an homage to early Sonic games.
There are some other Sonic games that I don't exactly remember like the other 2D Sonic games, a Sonic pinball game, and a Sonic RPG. I think the RPG was for the DS and it might actually be all right sort of like a Super Mario RPG of the Sonic series. For other games like the racing games, it's not really a Sonic game, but the Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing looks good if you want some "Sonic Kart". Riders was okay from having played Zero Gravity on the Wii. I liked the music, but that's a given for Sonic games.
So, the early Sonic games and Mania for 2D gameplay, Colors and Generations for modern Sonic gameplay that has 2D and 3D sections, if you're okay with playing older games that may have not aged well, Adventures 1 and 2, and I guess, Forces since it's new and looks all right. Your mileage will vary with the Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, the Secret Rings, Unleashed, the Black Knight, and Sonic 4 games. It will definitely vary with Sonic '06 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. I think the 3DS Sonic Boom games were said to be decent which is better than what I heard about the Wii U game, Rise of Lyric. The cartoon, however, looks good.
Do any of you guys have specific recommendations? Kinda want to give them a spin y'know? I got Generations for the 3DS, and Adventure 2 seems pretty cool but idk I'm not sure
Honestly, the music makes me want to play these games, they're some good stuff
Play Sonic Mania first if you haven't played others.
It makes you understand why people actually like the Sonic franchise. Also, their editions of returning themes are really well done so it's cool to experience them as all new, as opposed to bits and pieces of other games.
Morning Fire Emblem Heroes social. I'm surprised this hasn't been taken over by the Marcina Discord yet.
Just had my meeting with my TA today on what to do for this week; I'll be going through some Numeracy, stuff like Positive Exponents, Power of (E.g. 10^20) and so on. I did do a bunch of these, but never hurts to go back and look through them as a refresher.
Do any of you guys have specific recommendations? Kinda want to give them a spin y'know? I got Generations for the 3DS, and Adventure 2 seems pretty cool but idk I'm not sure

I'd advise that you go for the classic games that were on the Mega Drive/Genesis. BUT, if you can; go and get the Sonic Classic Collection for the DS; that has all the classic 2D Sonic games on it.
Sonic 1, 2, 3, & Knuckles. With extras being Knucles in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. That's an excellent collection for the DS and I highly recommend it.
As for 3D Titles. I'd suggest getting Sonic Generations if you have Steam, PS3 or a 360. Sonic Colours is a great Sonic game for the Wii that I cannot stress enough is the best 3D Sonic game out there. I've heard mixed stuff on Sonic Unleashed; suchas the Werehog being slow af and of course; the encounter theme when playing as the Werehog that just plays every 5 seconds. :V
If you want an edgy Sonic game, go and get Shadow The Hedgehog I guess. Since you play as Shadow and be and edgelord with guns (Since you seem to have a thing with emo and edgy characters), Sonic 06 is a mess in a funny way; if you want a glitchy game, get Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric; those games are notoriously bad.
As for spin off titles. I've played most of the Sonic Racing games, but while Ffamran
has only played Zero Gravity and All-Stars Racing. I would recommend the first Sonic Riders and either the first All-Stars Racing or Transformed (I'd suggest getting the Steam version of ASRT, since that has more content and playable characters like Honeydew from Yogscast and the Heavy, Pyro and Spy from Team Fortress 2).
Sonic Riders, I'd say stick with the first one; that one feels more fun and engaging. Since you can do your own stunts, it has close to 60 missions to do for the post game; different playable characters with guest characters from other SEGA games (Ulala, Aiai and NiGHTS in the first one. Samba de Amigo, Billy Hatcher and NiGHTS in Zero Gravity), just avoid Free Riders; that is a Kinect game and it's not a good one.
If you do want to get the 3D Sonic games like Adventure and Heroes; they're alright for what they do. But I feel like the only reason people love Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 is because of the Chao Garden which are adorable af to play with.
As for spin off games (I'll get to Mania and Forces in a bit); there are a lot of spin off games back in the Mega Drive/Genesis era. Some are even available on Steam and the 3DS eShop; you got the Sonic Drift series which isn't that good, Tails' Adventure which is a weird Zelda 2-like game, Sonic Labyrinth, Spinball, Mean Bean Machine are strange spin-off games, Tails Sky Patrol a Japan-Only game; and Sonic 3D Blast which many have said is not that good of a game, but that didn't stop the founder of TT Games on making a Director's Cut of it and releasing it on the Steam Workshop.
Secret Rings is bad. Just. Very bad. That was ironically the first Sonic game I truly hated; as Black Knight, it's a guilty pleasure of mine, the controls can be wonky and the levels are just on automatic (You only have to swing the Wiimote to attack, that's about it, the games does the running for you).
Sonic Mania I highly recommend you go and play it. It is an amazing game and provides so much content, tons of levels, different mechanics that don't overstay their welcome and the music from Lee Topes is goddamn amazing, a lot of love and care went into that game and I highly suggest you go and play it. Forces on the otherhand... is a mixed bag, the levels are too short; Classic Sonic is unnecessary and the music isn't as good as it was in the older games. Plus, the level design is just. Not that good. But at least we get to make our Sonic OC and have them come to life in DeviantArt with some stupid/weird fetishes I guess? :V
2D Handheld Sonic games on the otherhand, there were a bunch of Game Gear Sonic games (Sonic 1, 2, Chaos, Triple Trouble, Blast) that you can get on the 3DS eShop or play on the Sonic Adventure DX port on the Gamecube, there's the Sonic Advance series and Sonic Rush (1, Adventure and I guess Sonic Colours for DS counts as Sonic Rush 3) for the DS; I've heard that Sonic Rush is the best handheld Sonic game in a long time. Sonic Rivals for the PSP... isn't that great.
tl;dr version:
I highly recommend Sonic Classic Collection, Sonic Riders, ASRT (Steam Version), Mania, Sonic Rush, the console version of Sonic Generations and Colours, they are all great games. If you want some average games, go and play the Adventure games and Heroes; Shadow The Hedgehog is meh, 06 is a glitchy ride and Rise of Lyric... do-don't play that. Just don't. The Sonic Boom cartoon however is great; self aware humour and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
I need to go and do somethings to pass the time in Xenoblade 2, since I need to raise Electra's trust to get her unique field skill to max. Guess I'll do some grinding!
I also tried to play some Duel Links PVP for the new season, it was a mess; I went 10-7, but there were some dumb decks roaming around; I got OTK'd by Ancient Gears, a Weevil Burn and there's now some controversy going on about a Tea Burn that can OTK in just the first turn. So be careful, but I will say it involves the Bamboo Sword cards.
I threw 20 orbs at the Gunthra banner and got a S!Lucina and another Felica. Good stuff! I have 2 Swift Sparrow fodders now and I'll have a 3rd if I ever get Katerina's HM to 3000. I really wish I could give her tome for a meme build with Close Counter.
I have a -spd/+def Celica and with 2 friends and a +def owl tome she can get 41/47/34/38/26 w/ Close Def which is some good bulk. Enough spd to avoid many doubles and enough defense to withstand attacks. Then enough atk to destroy heauxes with 2 hits using Quick Riposte. She wins 135+ fights and some of them she honestly shouldn't be surviving (rip Abel for example), and then if Lord DisgusTing is by her side she gets 41/51/38/41/29 lmao just lmfao wtf is this character now IS pls no.
Should I do it for the memes? Or should I just use her for Distant Def and call it a day?
M!Robin can do a blue version of it, with less kills and more survival. He's also easier to +10 and if I get a +Def/-Res version of him I will most def do it because I am stupid and it'd be nice to use this Close Counter fodder on things that are oddly enough worth it.
tbh Camilla does make a good option since she's a decent mixed tank. Very niche. But if you like the character then niche can work. There's a lot of blue magic users and she's good at tanking them all with an Emerald Axe.
Do any of you guys have specific recommendations? Kinda want to give them a spin y'know? I got Generations for the 3DS, and Adventure 2 seems pretty cool but idk I'm not sure
Honestly, the music makes me want to play these games, they're some good stuff
I like most of the music in Sonic games. Sonic Heroes had some nice tracks like Hang Castle or Mystic Mansion. I can't say disliked any of the tracks, but still, the tracks but the S P O O K Y tracks were my favorite.
Adventure 2 is very good, probably my favorite of the bunch. Sonic Heroes was pretty good and featured a few different ways to play on the same courses. I like the spooky soundtracks from that game.
It's been a while again since I've been here, so here's a super late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, gorls! I hope everyone's been enjoying themselves so far. <3
I went on a Nier cosplay photoshoot in the middle of last month just before Christmas! It was a lot of fun. The weather was predicted to be pretty terrible that day, especially around the time we booked the shoot, but luckily it happened in another area further away from our location. Instead we got some gloomy, cloudy skies, which was perfect for what we were doing.
I cosplayed as the random blonde YoRHa unit because all my friends already had outfits for the main characters beforehand, lol.
The squad B]
Because we were shooting near the docks and under a massive bridge I came up with the idea of doing some Flooded City themed photos, and it's the reason I chose to do the YoRHa standard armament outfit instead of wearing my outfit from PAX back in October. I really like the angles in these, and the weather really gives the photos a very drab atmosphere.
Of course, it isn't a real cosplay photoshoot without memes. Praise the 2Booty.
We ended the shoot with a bang with some fail attempts at JoJo posing, LOL. We were also trespassing that particular area, whoops.
In FEH related news, I recently promoted an Azama to 5* for memes because he's +Def -Atk. Now his build is finished. What am I doing with my life.
I still need to upgrade the Savage seal because I just used all my coins to upgrade Heavy Blade 3 lmao
I also managed to snag a couple of extra Sigurds from the recent Legendary banner. Now he's +2 and I'm really happy with that.
The B support is ally support with Deirdre, because I figured I wasn't utilising that system enough and so I decided to pair up some units for memes or shipping.
I also got a couple of Ryomas and a Gunnthra which was pretty awesome, although the Gunnthra is +Def -Atk lmao. So now she's just sitting in my box for collection purposes.
I'm thinking...Close Defense would be the best A-slot? Makes her really physically bulky as she helps bulk up everyone else.
Also, for all you college / college bound gorls: as always, feel free to send me a PM if you need any physics and/or math help. Doubly so now that I'm a TA; believe me when I say we want you to do well, if for no other reason than a C+ exam can easily take five times longer to properly grade compared to an A+ exam.
So I found out I had a -hp/+def Boey and decided to just use him for the meme build since I already built him for it a long time ago. So really it's just switching -hp/+atk to -hp/+def is all. He's currently +2 merged and I like him since he is a precious boy because he's actually ya boey, Guzma.
10/10 best boey just like Guzma is the best boy see it all makes sense ok.
I have a +spd M!Robin but if I ever get one that's +def i'll probably just start building that one. Could you imagine a whole armor-like team of gorls but they're all mages? Just lmao pls I need this.

, I forgot to mention this in my other post since it was done with my phone and late at night, but Sonic Colors has two versions like Sonic Boom. The Wii version I talked about as being the "definitive" modern Sonic gameplay while the DS version is a 2D Sonic game. Apparently the DS version also got good, decent reviews like the 3DS Sonic Boom games, Shattered Crystal and the sequel to it, Fire & Ice. Do note that in both cases, the console and handheld versions were made by different developers which might explain why the 3DS Sonic Boom games weren't as bad as the Wii U game, Rise of Lyric.
And I forgot about this one: Sonic Lost World. Like Colors and Sonic Boom, it has two versions: a console version that's on the the Wii U and was ported to the PC and the handheld 3DS version. All I remember about the Wii U/PC one is that it's okay, but I think people felt like it wasn't a Sonic game. It kind of looks like Super Mario Galaxy, but with Sonic as the main character. The 3DS version seems to be a 2D Sonic game and it's made by same developers of the DS version of Colors, so there's that.
Also, the Sonic RPG's title is Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. It's for the DS and was developed by BioWare, the same BioWare of Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age fame.
