So Gar's in full swing with this weight loss thing and is "lightly suggesting" different things to me for quick healthy lunches/dinners to make - so he can also share lunches/dinners with me.

1) Finely chopped pineapple, mash a bit to get some juice, and a can of drained tuna or chicken. With or without lettuce. No bread. It's a salad or just pineapple+meat.

2) No sugar added/low fat plain yogurt instead of mayo for egg/tuna salad/chicken salad. Whole grain bread allowed (yay I guess).

3) Using fresh bean-heavy salsas as a substitute for dressings on salads.

It sounded OK except for #2 because wtf. But then he suggested a not-so-quick meal - vegetable pizza. I love pizza. I love vegetables baked into a cheesy thin crust pizza of goodness. Finally this strict diet thing sounds so good. I've been doing it for years without realizing it. Except... He meant vegetable pizza, where the crust part is actually mashed vegetables. Topped with some tomato sauce, grape tomatoes, basil, garlic, and a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese. He looked me dead in the eye and called this thing PIZZA. And "I mean, yeah, it's vegetable pizza, but we can add chicken if there's not enough protein."

Mae, a mage from Gaiden/Echoes. Summon her maebe?

Makes sense since Celica was teased and Mae is one of Celica's friends. Apparently, she boasts about being able to use Thunder magic in her dialogue or something when everyone else at the beginning can only use Fire. So, in the general discussion for Heroes on Serene's Forest, she was guessed to be a blue mage with possibly Thoron+ since nobody else has it in Heroes like how Soren was introduced as the Rexcalibur+ mage. Stat-wise, in Gaiden, she has high magic, but low defense and HP. Not sure on speed, but the wiki says it's not good and she has high resistance for a unit in Gaiden where resistance seems to be low from I remember reading about the Gaiden characters.

Also, not exactly sure on Echoes since her stat growths are there and like everyone else, they're better than in Gaiden, but her resistance growth is 2% -- 2% more than in Gaiden --, so I guess that's her personal growth along with Gaiden/Echoes having really low resistance growth in general. Then again, magic works differently in Gaiden, so that's probably a factor. I think you use your HP to cast magic or something.

Anyway, so I guess she might be something like Sanaki. Only issue is the resistance thing since it's high for a character in Gaiden which is probably meh to even bad for the other, especially more recent games.

And I like her official art for Echoes more. Same can be said with Clair.

A bit of a hassle, but transferred the screenshot, resized it, and there you go.

Yeah, the game gave me two of them. I summoned the second blue as my fourth summon and the moment the smoke and, I think, sparkles showed up, my heart sank since I had a feeling she would show up again as the other non-focus blues were probably not likely to show up. It's not that I don't like Linde, it's that I wanted Julia or a different blue 4* or 5* since while she's a great unit, it's her again and in the same summoning session. Oh, well, I have two Lindes.

3* Azama: +Res, -Def. Meh, I have four of you now and I don't need that many.

3* Gunter: +Def, -HP. There will come a day when I get Camilla and I can give her a Silver Axe.

4* Kagero: +Spd, -HP. Cool. For one, I finally have a Kagero and her boon is pretty good. HP bane is going to be a bit scary, though.

5* Linde 1: +HP, -Spd. Eh, not that helpful of a boon/bane.

5* Linde 2: Neutral. Welp, guess who I'm using of the two?

Edit: I just realized this is the luckiest I've been when it came to summoning blues. Two of them, but still, two 5* units and in succession. The second luckiest is the time Catria and +Atk, -Res Subaki showed up since that's when I started getting decent blues and 4* ones as well.

Today I learned that 4* Kagero with -HP ends up with 26 HP. As a 5*, 28 HP. Elise's base HP is 30 and Kagero's normal HP is 31. I've never seen HP be that low -- I didn't pay attention to Elise's stats when I've seen her whenever she delivers her happiest of hellos from Rickster and I think someone else has her. It's for balancing, but geez, that's low, especially with -HP as a bane which once again, haunts me.

Going to be having my meeting with my TA today over the revision for my exam at the end of the month. I plan on doing about two hours of revision with a break in the middle.

Also, I've finally gotten the hang of Bowser's UThrow > UAir kill confirm.
I went and used my other control setting "TOP NEP" which has the right stick set to Attack, whereas "NEP NEP" has it set to Smash. And I did a lot better with Bowser. And I managed to Bowsercide one player EIGHT times since he wouldn't leave the lobby. He didn't know when to quit. :V

Sooo... Spent another 120 on this game because that female mage banner = all good picks and to spite Gar. "You gonna waste money again and get bad things?"

So to prove to him that I am cursed with good luck in useless video games, especially ones that require money but do not give money in return, I wasted... Er... Invested another 120 dollars in FEH.

First up is+SPD/-DEF Tharja. Soon I'll have enough to make an Omega +10 Tharja. She heard I called her a heaux so she hexed me to pull 4*s (and now apparently 5*s) of her. A trash heaux Tharja soon followed.

Then... +ATK/-DEF Linde. 2nd best nature for her. Then 1 trash Linde.
Then... +ATK/-DEF Julia. 2nd best nature for her. Then 1 trash Julia.
Then... Leo? OK buddy. Go back to your banner, this is a gorls only party.

Still no sign of Sanaki. I really wanted her because I like her voice actress (she sounds like Lucy Heartfelia from Fairy Tail, though Lucy's actual voice actress is Gwen's/Caeda's voice).

Also, for some ungodly reason, I got 5* Hector and Takumi again. I got Elise and another -ATK Ninian(???mad???) because why not?

Now he believes me at that point about my stupid good luck since he saw me pull all the stuff first hand. He gave me 40 dollars and told me to do it again, so I did.

Still no Sanaki, but I did get the following 5*s:
1 Trash Linde
1 Trash Julia
1 Roy (premium fodder wow)
2 Tharjas

I'm pretty sure my 5* pull average sits at a really awkward 15% at the very least, maybe 18%. Oh. But. This only applies to games that require me to spend real money and never get any real money in return. Such as LaTale's dart board or DFO skeleton keys/boxes. But Casino games? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

So now I can say I spent 1k, even though 240ish of that was free money technically. I am a whale, but I probably spent less for what I have right now. Although my feather count is not too high, but thanks to pawning 5*s, it's most def a sizable collection. And I don't have much fodder. Either way, me IRL:

F'real tho. Reached my 1k cap. Unlinked my Paypal from Googleplay and don't plan on using Googleplay GCs.

Atk+3 is an alright A placeholder skill if you have it until you get something better.
GTomebreaker is probably one of the better B skills for her but you could also give her bow/lance breaker. I've seen people recommend quick riposte but I think that's only viable if she is +spd and has fury/a speed buff. GTomebreaker 2 should be enough because usually teams (at least for me) have only 1 green mage and the only things Julia should be hit by are blue mages/dragons that do little to no damage so she'll still be in the GTomebreaker range. Go for GTomebreaker 3 if you want to maximise your arena score. Also, be careful of enemy GTomebreaker users because they'll probably be faster and can double her (unless it's another Julia)
Breath of life is fine as a C skill, but you can't go wrong with a hone skill. Just go with what you need really.

If you plan on playing Julia offensively (i.e she always initiates attack) then I think life and death will probably be the best as it increases her atk to 54 and spd to an okayish 31. Her Res is pretty high to begin with, so the decrease is ok I think and she dies to pretty much anything physical anyway.
If you are going to play her more defensively (i.e bait and then counter ko) then I think fury will be the best ( If I had to pick, I would go fury, plus it's one of the best cost wise as you only need a 4* hinata)
It's up to you in the end, though it might be better just to give her the skill that you pull first. I'd love to have this skill fodder but the game refuses to give them to me cricri

I've been sticking with Isabelle a lot recently. Back on the original version, I was more of a Rosalina player, but now I'm jumping towards the Secretary of the Mayor.

3* Cecilia: +Atk, -Def. Oh dear... Last time I used a -Def Cecilia, she was really frail. Then again, this one has +Atk rather than +Res.

4* Cecilia: +Atk, -Spd. Mmm... not so sure since Cecilia's below average in speed and while she can one-shot stuff, Gronnblade would be really helpful for that, but I've never summoned a Nino on this file. Also, it would have been nice if she showed up earlier so I could have saved 2k feathers.

3* Clarine: +HP, -Spd. No comment.

3* Palla: +Atk, -HP. Cool, I guess. Ruby Sword already helps her out with defense against greens, but even the +Def one still took a bit more damage than I thought she would. That or I got unlucky with really high attack greens when I last used her like... Lunatic Michalis.

3* Saizo: +Def, -HP. I just got rid of one of you by merging you with a +Atk, -Def one... Whatever.

Welp, there goes this banner's last summon unless I give it a special case which I won't since I only have 13 orbs left and I'd rather just try to get Celicia assuming she's a red mage or somehow end up any red mage who isn't Raigh or Sophia and who doesn't have -Atk.

Anyway, Linde hits really hard which I expected, but she's my only 5* mage, so it's really surprising. Basically a mage Lucina which already exists in the form of Bunny Lucina. Kagero is kind of underwhelming right now which I guess also makes sense since she's not a 5* and Poison Dagger's MT is 2, so she's basically hitting with only her base attack. That said, pretty cool and her special quotes are kind of dorky. Also, she's the reason that I learned that if you've taken little to no damage, the Retribution branch skills are basically useless. Not even a fixed minimum like +1 damage or something which I can understand. Didn't happen with Zephiel, but he had Life & Death on him most of the time, so he always took damage while Kagero can avoid damage against melee units. That and Retribution was the last skill I got for him.

So last night I ended my pulls with 26 orbs left. I didn't feel like I'd get Sanaki, so I didn't want to risk it. I was just going to wait until the next banner for FE10 Ike or something.

But I get up this morning and feel like Sanaki is so close. Gar of course calls me crazy and tells me to NOT DO THE THING because me getting just Sanaki of all the reds is not gonna happen. I say "But I technically only spent 800 of my real money so I have 200 more to spend" then I DO THE THING and buy 75 orbs out of kinda-spite. So here's my 5 pulls with that 100-ish set of orbs.

I don't have anyone to give her Gronnblade, so it's like having 2 Cecilias among 2 others, one special map and the other 3* I summoned recently, just sitting there doing nothing which is like the 4 Gunters, 3 Laslows, and 3 Lon'qu since I don't really know who to give Axebreaker to other than Cherche, Henry since I figure he'd probably be better dealing with physical units, and apparently, Leo. Already used one to give Axebreaker 3 to Cain because why not, let's have a red Abel. Laslow in general would be a good Brave Sword unit, but geez, what am I going to do with all these other freaking units? And that would be an easy fix of let's drop a Brave Sword on him. As for Lon'qu, well, Hector would like Vantage, but I don't have him. So would Sharena, but I'd rather be careful with one of a kind units.

I really need to get rid of units...

Oh, and you asked about Julia's A-slot. Someone on SF asked that too a couple days ago: https://serenesforest.net/forums/in...d-here-thread/&do=findComment&comment=4824234. Fury is common and good, but T-Adept not so much since you'd reduce her ability to also damage reds with her high attack.

So sometimes I go onto Spriter's Resource because it's fun looking around at game sprites. But today I noticed that there's sections for textures, models, and sound effects as well.

I downloaded all of Daphnes' grunts. I won't ever use them for any video probably but it was a good thing imo.

This did give me an idea tho. For Ravio's section of the tier list, I was planning to make a bunch of Ravio noises while the text translation would appear on screen. But now I could use his ACTUAL voice clips. Hm...

Life and Death is good, but the full version (L&D3) is 5* only, meaning it's stupidly expensive. Also, the fact that it lowers both def and res by 5 can sometimes **** you over

Most offensive units run Death Blow/Fury/L&D/Triangle Adept/maybe Darting Blow in the a-slot

b-slot usually would be something like vantage or desperation, but the breaker skills, quick riposte (another one where the third tier is 5* exclusive), and wings of mercy have uses, too

c-slot is just for support and you can't go wrong with hone atk/spd or fortify res/def

the heroes wiki and the heroes gamepress site both have suggested builds for each unit, but don't feel like you have to do exactly what the sites say; tailor your units to what you need them to do

be warned that the spur skills (spur atk, res, def, spd, etc.) are bad and so are the defiant skills

How about Triangle Adept + Gronraven+? If you do that, she will kill everything blue, silver, and most likely green with green tome breaker. She will also be able to giggle at blue/silver attacks. There aren't too many dragon units to worry about. And even then, she still would hit Nowi, the most common dragon gorl, for 40% extra damage.

I was planning to do that, but with Sanaki. They're basically the same unit stat wise. Except my best Sanaki is +DEF/-RES soooooooooo...

Her voice is even more annoying (WINKY FAEC sounds awful now) but what she says is 25/10 so it balances out. And Zero Suit D. Va is actually fun to play. She has abilities now, who needs the mech? She has a McCree roll that goes the distance of a Tracer blink, she has a Lucio boop that also has a small stun effect, her normal gun slows enemies, she can shoot a huge laser every 3-4 seconds, seriously just dump the mech gorlie.
The only thing is that I couldn't play her in an actual game, just the training room thing. So I'm prolly complete trash at playing her. But she's fun, would buy.

Quick edit here: This kind of lets you have a do-over if you have lots of duplicate units, but mostly for 3* and below units since it'd be harder to do this with 4* and 5* summonable units. Also, don't try to inherit a ton of stuff if you don't like clutter.

TL;DR: Very niche skill that should be used on units that are very slow, very strong, and very bulky like Alfonse, Bartre, Hinata, and Seliph. Life & Death usually is used of high attack and high speed units since they don't care about their defense. Why? Pair it up with Desperation. If their HP is at Desperation's range which is going to be <= 75% for Desperation 3, then they can immediately follow-up which is powerful for Brave weapon users or characters like Lucina. There are, however, niche builds like Zephiel's default skill set or something like giving Selena L&D3.

Fury and the other +3 stat skills on the other hand, are more versatile. Goes well with pretty much anyone.

The blow series of skills only work if you initiate combat and with Brave weapons only letting you hit twice per turn, Death Blow works very well with them. Default example is Klein. Death Blow and a Brave weapon should probably go on units who don't have insane speed like Cherche, Frederick, Laslow, Lukas, and Virion.

Quick Riposte should be on very bulky units who you want to use defensively. Big examples are Hector and Subaki who come with it by default or Michalis who can combine it with Hauteclare and Bonfire to do a crapton of counter damage. They don't have to be fast or slow, just be able to take hits and dish them.

Vantage can be treated as an "offensive Quick Riposte" where you put it on fragile, speedy units. Idea is to double on player phase and counter on enemy phase by going first. Lon'qu is a default user of this, but a more potent user is Ryoma because of his much higher attack and Raijinto's built-in Distant Counter. That said, a bulky unit can make use of it like Hector, but that's because he has default access to Distant Counter as his A-slot and Quick Riposte through Armads.

-breaker skills are dependent on what you want to counter, but there are some units who would like one over the other and arena reasons like Axebreaker on reds aren't as great as Swordbreaker on reds.

Drag Back and Hit and Run play well with melee Brave weapon users to get them out of combat. A default example is Donnel. Otherwise, I've seen recommendations of using Wings of Mercy for mobility since Brave weapon users tend to hit really hard and can be lifesavers.

C-slot skills are dependent on your team, but a lot of people run buffs. Not sure if there's a post about it. Also, for armor teams, I remember a video where a player used exclusively the Goad and Ward skills since knights don't go far away from each other. As those are Spur skills, they don't have a stack cap i.e. a unit won't cap out at +7 to whatever buffed stat, but at the same time, it won't show up on their profile since Spur skill effects are in-battle only. So, if you have 3 Goad Armors, you can get +12 to attack and speed to a knight which only shows up during combat.

Edit: Oops, can't math. Meant less than or equal for Desperation.

Morning girls. How's everyone doing?

I made an error yesterday, I thought my TA was coming to have a meeting with me about my exam and revision on Monday, but now I know it was today he'll be visiting. So at least I can get started on looking through my books and getting to revising.

Also, I'll be attempting to get back into learning Japanese. Someone suggested I start with Hiragana, then go on to Katakana and finally Kanji. So that'll be fun to do.

As for FE Heroes, the defense map 3 was stupid. There should be a warning that having ranged units or anyone with Distant Counter is recommended before you start the map. I know sites have shown images of it, but what if someone didn't know? You'd have no way to deal with the ranged units on that map who also have reinforcements. You could tough it out with level 40+ units, but still... I brought in Chrom, Kagero, Linde, and Setsuna, so I was set to deal with them.

Also, I wished we could select tiles to see if there the terrain effects like in the other FE games.
