Depends on what a Legends Event is. It would be sort of anti-climatic if it just meant "Yo, here's a new focus banner, see ya'll next week."

OK, so, like, are we talking the 4 brudders and sisters (from fates) in bathing suits? That'd be too easy, but at least it'd give us a Focus for ALL good units. Maybe with Sakura as a bow user (or magic user if thou must) and Elise as a magic user. Healers are just such trash in this game and it's sad. They'd be great if they didn't have that stupid damage formula of (ATK-RES)/2 for no reason.

I would like Swimtrunks Ike, tho. I would probably spend even more money on this game just to get him. I will collect all the husbandos.

Spoiler: But chances are he will get an even lewder swimsuit because FEH wants to make more $$$

That's generally why I stopped playing FG and haven't touched the game in months. A lot of them rely on easy characters to do things or lag on the opponent's side. Like they play a character they clearly like and are decent with, they get killed by Zelda. So their ego takes a hit and they whip out Bayo/Captain/Diddy/Pika/ETC and get beat again. Getting progressively more aggressive until they win as I get lazier/mess up OR just outright win. Once they win they leave. I usually rack up 10-20 wins before they finally get to that point.

It's really gross. This game has over 50 characters to choose. Why would people gravitate to just 10 or less of them? Worse yet, why would they whip out a high tier JUST SO THEY COULD WIN IN A CRAPPY FG THING? :T

Even if my win rate when from 83% to 50% I wouldn't care. As long as I get to play Zelders, Peesh, Corn, Lucinda, Palutena, Ike, or Robin. I do occasionally use Bayo and I'm decent with her, but something about high tiers just make me feel scummy. Bayo's sassy animations are what entertain me the most (I just walk around the stage 30% of the time lol). IDK why. I kind of like to "fight the system" while I'm fighting someone at the same time, so I gravitate towards bad characters. It's far more satisfying to win with a bad character than an easier or safer character, IMO. Though that still doesn't mean I'd want them to be nonviable just for the sake of me having more fun. Even if Zelder got to B tier I'd still use her. If she was legit high A or S tier I don't know... At that point it'd just be loyalty if I used her unless she remained just as fun as she is now (as in, nothing is spoonfed to her). But S Tier stands for Spoonfed Tier, so that'd be unlikely.

i think the whole "top tiers are scummy" is a dumb philosophy. if anything, you're intentionally handicapping yourself by playing a bad character.

besides, there are many people who play characters because they like their personality/the series they come from/whatever. like, i main bayonetta because she's my favorite video game character of all time, not because she's the best character in the game or whatever

IDC about who plays what here or at tournies where money is actually at stake. Friendly matches also don't matter, because you know what you sign up for. FG is supposed to be random-ish, especially considering there's almost 60 characters. "It's really gross" as in "this is really unfun to me and too much unfun leads to blargh why bother tho." I'd think most people would agree with that, unless they really enjoy fighting 8 different Clouds in a row in a seemingly random pool of players. It's like only facing Soldiers in Overwatch. Or summoning in FE:H and getting Pallas. She's a cool character, she's useful, you don't mind it at first, but there's only so many you can get in a row before going:

The last day I played I fought against 8 different players, all using Cloud, in a row - though in total I probably fought Cloud 50% of the time or more that day. I thought there was a recent video explaining a new tech or Cloud had a recent win (again), but there wasn't, so it was just people tier wh*ring to the max. The only reason I knew that was because they all played the same; boringly and safely, as seen in "pro" videos. That was the last Nope.avi that broke the web browser's stability. Before that it was generally the same 10ish characters, all happen to be high tier, but at least they alternated with some mids in the mix. Then it slowly shifted to nothing but high tiers, mostly S tiers. Like wtf. IDC if you're playing the safer to use /higher tiered characters (they all have flaws that can be exploited) or even low tiers. JUST NOT IN 80000 TIMES IN A ROW SASS KWEEN PURGE THEM NOW PLS HELP.

UNLESS what happened to SSB4 is the same that happens to all games nearing the end of its lifespan. Only the pros/super srs people remain. And seeing as how The Switch was 3~4 months away at the time, I could see that happening to SSB4. But. Uh. IDK why super srs players would even play on FG to practice.

So TL;DR high tiers are fine. Until I have to face them all nonstop in a supposed-to-be-random pool of players for weeks. Then it needs to stop. Shut it down. Call the cops. BURN THE CONSOLES. And then pray to the Sass Kween in hopes of things becoming better.

I feel like they might do both. 5* Ike is only available through summoning as part of the focus while 3* and 4* Ike are available through a difficult battle. That or Ike is a part of a major Tellius update that introduces +7 characters from the Tellius games. Who knows.

Spoiler: Lunatic Navarre Woes

Well, I think I have to level up Sophia now and even with attack bane, she can still manage to kill the axe fighter with Olivia's help. I don't know what I'm going to do about the thief baiting and dragging back, though. I think the reason why the strategy I came up with failed is that because Eirika is the one being use to drag back the Rogue Dagger thief, the axe fighter wants to be nowhere near her which means he goes after Subaki the only blue unit I used which also puts everyone else in a tight spot since he, Navarre, and the Silver Dagger thief just line up creating a no win situation.

In Mkv's video, Donnel was the one used to drag back the thief and the axe fighter centers on him and sort of Subaki since he's right next to Donnel. I really don't want to drop a Brave Lance and Drag Back onto Oboro, but I might considering there's only 2 days left for it and Oboro is the closest to being level 40. I could build Why did the 1.5 exp have to end before this GHB? Killer Lance and Drag Back might work better, but that's still 175 SP that could have gone to something else for her. Killer Lance, Bonfire, and Quick Riposte 2 look really good on Oboro. There is a Brave Lance build proposed for her, but I feel like Donnel already does it well enough even though I think he should be the one with a Heavy Lance since he can probably guarantee a double on any knight who is not Draug or Zephiel while Oboro kind of can't.

Yeah, lack of good red mage has been problem with this and Michalis's map. At least I could get Tiki to Michalis and Cherche could Pivot over her, but that's not the case for this map. I swear if Zephiel's map can be done with and has (free) a red mage being a key player. It probably will be done like that and I'll continue to be pissed if I don't have a good red mage by then.

Maybe they couldn't get Iceberg and settled for Bonfire which is still fine considering her 28 neutral defense as 5*? If it's def boon, then she ends up with 31 def and 29 neutral resistance which is pretty good despite her getting doubled by everything.

Reading this also makes me even madder that I screwed myself over by not checking Sophia's boon/bane until much, much later and after merging all of the special map Sophias.

Isn't Sophia one of the worst units in the game?

RNG only gives me bad units, so of course I have a billion copies of her

But her being decent with a lot of skill inheritance isn't really that surprising. Everybody can be at last usable with inheritance, which is basically why it exists

I can pretty much only play Zelda effectively at this point. The only other character I actually enjoy using is probably Palutena. Idk what it is, she just fun to me since she's quick like Sheik, but you don't have to be nearly as fast with your fingers. Oh and I like her hitboxes better (on her usable moves that is).

her DEF is one point off from her RES and like i really doubt a one point difference on her skill matters but yeah you should probably sacrifice a Niles for Iceberg

I can't take FG seriously anymore. The only reason I even used it in the first place was because like 80% of players there! I'm really, really bad.
I should probably ask for more matches here.
Also, there's a tournament in Hawaii as seen on the front page of Smashboards from today to Sunday. Void and Aba will be there, along with False. It should be noted they are the only ones of the PGRv2 in it. So probably not worth watching until Top 8.

Oh, and dumb inherited skills time: a Nino with Ignis. Uh... What? Gronnblade means it's a 5 cooldown and that Nino had 12 defense. It was 16 with Oboro's help.

I found a Rein without Dire Thunder and I was totally ready to ridicule him (I had the entire post typed out even) but then I noticed he was 4 stars soo nevermind.
Also I used an Eldigan that had 6 different inherited specials? His default AOE ones, Buckler and Etchwhateveridontwanttoevenlookuphowtospellthis, and Luna+whatever comes before it. He bought all 6 with his SP as well. The only other skills he had were Mysslettain (prob spelled that wrong too) and Fury. And I think Fury was only at 1 or 2. Why.

The worst mage pre-SI, yeah. She's one of two mages in the game who doesn't get a special tome (the other being Liliana) and has the lowest speed in the game at 19. As in, Hector doubles her.

The second and third slowest units are also red tome users (Henry and Leo) and they're tied with 22 SPD.

Looking at her other stats only, she's actually be a better Tharja, but you can't ignore SPD and Tharja has a bit under twice as much.

Unfortunately, that means she's only good for feeding Dragon Fang to someone and...not much else. If Wary Fighter could be given to non-Armored units, she'd be good; not that many characters, especially mages, are bulky enough to tank double Hector axes to the face.

I think I saw a Reinhardt without Dire Thunder too, but I think he was a 5*. I sometimes run units without Brave weapons, but only when they're below level 10. With Reinhardt and someone else who is slow like Gordin, I probably wouldn't and would just keep them with a Brave weapon unless they don't start with it like 3* Gordin.

Oh, and it's Escutcheon.

On the topic of Sophia, I find it funny how she's a key player in Mkv's strategies. She hits hard and that's what matters when you have Olivia around. Otherwise, Raigh also hits hard, but not as much as Sophia which he makes up with Seal Res and he can potentially double as well.

Then again, I was getting bodied as usual. But ran into a terrible Rosalina who only relied on Luma's Jab. Whenever Luma was gone, oh boy here came the rolls. They were rolling like a bakery so damn much until Luma came back. :V

But on the plus side, I fought one player when I was messing around with Falco. I somehow killed their Mewtwo with a DTilt and it killed them at 117%. And I regrettably fought a Sheik who eventually swapped to Marth, who I somehow Bowsercided offstage at 0%. Then I Bowsercided another player FOUR times in a couple of games.

I need to stop going on For Glory. It ain't doing me any good. :V

I summoned again with 10 orgs I got, and I summoned 2 Cherches, ANOTHER Est and ANOTHER Jagen. I haven't gotten a new unit since my summoning session two weeks ago. I don't understand how I have so much bad luck.


I give up, Nintendo. I was trying so hard not to spend money on this game, but I'm spending 10 bucks on orbs. You win. If this doesn't work, I might just quit the game cuz this is getting ridiculous.

I use "I made you something." whenever I place the tele. Because that tele's not for me. It's never for me. I don't die fast enough to use it compared to the others on my team who die the moment they pop out of the damn thing.

Good thing Symmetra has long flamingo legs to get her from Point B to Point A.
