I've said it before, but I still strongly believe that Nintendo made a grave mistake when they switched from sprites to models

Pokemon is quirky and the sprites reflected that

I would say that changing from sprites to models was part of the reason 6th gen was so bad, but the actual gamplay itself and the changes they did to the Pokemon formula were the real reason 6th gen was so egregiously god-awful

I can't say I expect 7th gen to be any different

But whatever, I'll still have the old gens to replay

So... Juri's theme in Street Fighter V. It's... weird? It's not weird like Laura's where because you don't happen to listen to a style of music or instruments a lot, you're just unfamiliar with it, but weird in a sense that it kind of does and doesn't fit Juri. It's dark, low, and a bit twisted in a way that says Juri, but it's not as menacing or in your face like her SFIV theme which itself while menacing, sort of felt cheesy in a Saturday cartoon super villain way. That being said, her SFV does fit her "portrayal". Plot-wise, she pops up out of nowhere, her outfit is this catsuit you'd expect from stealth scenario or just because you want someone sexy and on a bike and Juri does both. So, it's spider-y and in a I'm gonna hunt you down and you won't know where I'll be versus her SFIV one which was spider-y in a "SPIDERS! SPIDERS EVERYWHERE" or spiders running towards you way. I don't know, her theme's fine, but it doesn't make me think of Juri until her the "Juri riff" plays. It reminds me and someone said it in one of the videos, like a villain's nightclub song. On another note, Ace Attorney has really good music. Should pick up one of the games. Ema Skye's from Apollo Justice is awesome -- I love the bridge, I think that's what that part is called -- and Trucy's is cute. Also, Toad is cute in Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon. They make these little squeaky noises when moving.

Megas are the worst addition to the game, bar none

The region was bland and uninspired. Based on a place as interesting as France, they failed to make any of it cool or unique. It was so forgettable that I literally had to google what the region was called.

ORAS destroyed 3rd gen. Like, playing through OR actually made me like 3rd gen less because it kinda ruined the region for me.

Literally the only thing 6th gen did that I liked was add the Fairy type

On a side note, I really hate mega evolutions, both for their designs (especially Mega Manectric) as well as their affect on the metagame. I really like the introductions of fairies though.

Megas are super lame. Adding another evolution would've worked JUST FINE. It just added another thing to the meta to keep it "fresh" or something stupid like that. When in actuality people didn't care much, at least when compared to how much they care about getting new Pokemon or fixes to older ones. Mega evolution for Pokemon who haven't evolved in for a very long time (Jinx, Dunsparce, Delibird) would have been OK. It kind of would have made sense, since those Pokemon needed an extra OOMPH to reach their full potential. Though I'd still settle for a normal evolution. Especially for Jynx because she is really cool and has a neat typing.

ORAS seemed like crap only because it was Sapphire and Ruby, not Emerald. Emerald is pretty much 3rd Gen and Sapphire/Ruby are just betas. I understand why they used S/R for the remakes, but they remade a region we only liked because it introduced us to this magical thing called "post-game content" and not just a CATCH EM AWLLLLL YEEEEEE!!! routine. Except they left out the things that made 3rd gen great, which was mostly featured in Emerald. Thus proving Gamefreak doesn't exactly know what its fanbase likes. Which might explain why they tossed up the meta because they figured that's all anyone talks about. :T
