In her defense, there was a mostly universal increased in landing lag from Brawl to Smash 4 (though, I will say her landing lag nerfs were to much).
What?
Little rant here, but why is G&W the only Brawl vet and one of only two returning character in general (the other being Dr. Mario, which is somewhat understandable) to have his dashing speed decreased during the transition to Smash 4?
True, but Smash 4, in my opinion, went overboard with increasing landing lag that Brawl had decreased from Melee. Ignoring L-cancel in Melee, Melee's landing lag was fine. With L-cancel, it has low landing lag since everything pretty much gets cut in half. Brawl removed L-canceling, but also lowered landing lag in general for some reason since it also lowered falling speed and gravity. There were some weird stuff like Falco's Fair having 33 landing frames. In Smash 4, landing lag was increased over Melee's normal and Brawl's low landing lag. Some stuff doesn't even make sense like Sonic's Bair having 30 landing frames. It's strong, sure, but it's slow. What the hell is Sonic going to do with his Bair? At least it auto-cancels... Still, really? 30? It's basically Bayonetta, Fox, Samus, and ZSS's Bair and they have about 15 landing frames. The characters who weren't as affected or have Brawl-esque landing lag, yeah, those characters' low landing lag are noticeable like Captain Falcon, Cloud, Ryu, and ZSS. Ryu at least has an argument since landing lag kind of doesn't exist in Street Fighter.
Also, like BJN39 said, dash is not the same as run. I blame a lot of things that call dash the same thing as run. It doesn't help that both wikis consider them the same thing, but they do mention that dash happens before run. Most characters tend to have a dash speed that is the same or close to their run speed like Mario, but some don't like Falco's dash speed is 1.9 and has been since Melee as it was the same as Fox's at the time, but his run speed was always lower at 1.5 in Melee, 1.432 in Brawl, and 1.472 in Smash 4. Falco's dash is good as a very short form of burst movement, but his sustained movement was at best, average in Melee and at worst, terrible in Smash 4. Star Fox characters tend to have this trait where their dashes are high, but their run speeds differ; Wolf's is like Falco's, but he's slower in both dash, at 1.7, and run, at 1.4, while Fox's is a bit weird. Fox started with a slower dash than his run in Melee, 1.9 dash and 2.2 run, but recent games had him with faster dash and slower run; Brawl's is a 2.1 dash and a 2.08 run and Smash 4's the insane 2.4 dash, the highest in the game, and a 2.184 run speed. Fox not only has a fast burst movement, but also a fast sustained movement. I'd argue he has the best ground movement in the game followed by Little Mac who has a faster run speed than Fox at 2.24, but a slower dash speed at 2.05. Their high dash speeds might also explain why their perfect pivots are good and in Fox's case, his 2.4 dash speed probably explains why his dash options, especially dash Up Smash out of shield, are so damn good. Posted way back and needs to be updated with the DLC characters:

Basic movement stats are talked about all the time, but there are times where more intricate ones like dash speed, air acceleration and deceleration, etc., aren't talked about or if they are, it's through inferring instead of through evidence which we freaking have and can always ask for or data dump. I mean, it's great people know that Brawl Wolf's air speed is so good, but maybe considering his above-average, 0.08 air acceleration would be helpful as well. Before 1.0.8 Falco, there was Brawl Wolf who was the only Star Fox character to have a high air acceleration. Ironic when you consider Star Fox's ace pilot was the one who got in first over the also skilled, but antagonistic Star Wolf leader, but it was the Star Wolf leader who showed up with better air control over Star Fox's ace.
On Zelda, her high, well, average I guess since it's only 1.6 which is an average, Mario run speed, is probably why her dash or foxtrot -- I hate this term since dash means the same damn thing -- is good.
I might... actually, out of pure frustration, will probably record down all of Brawl's movement stats and slap them somewhere. Why? Well, it's kind of nice to be able to see them all without having to go through them individually in PSA for easier comparisons and also, it would be nice for people to not be all like, "DERIKDNKhf Marth is so slow in Smash 4 drehodhk", when in reality, he's pretty much the same in Brawl Smash 4. Freaking Marth's low walk acceleration has apparently been a thing since Melee and has been a trait all -- unknown about Corrin and Roy who I have a suspicion that Roy's walk acceleration is high instead of the everyone's 0.1 or his initial walk speed is higher than everyone's -- the Fire Emblem characters have (and harmed them).
