Are you really going to hold it against teenagers, in school, for not knowing **** before they're taught it?When I told the people in my class (during the slave narrative project I mentioned) that slave **** was so common that a majority of African Americans where at least a quarter white they act so flabbergasted. "Wow really? I didn't know that!"
Like, that's why they don't know it. The project you're talking about is literally there to teach them exactly what you're amazed they didn't know. That's what a curriculum is for, it's what school is.
