It's because Yoshi doesn't have combos that bothers me. I always need to be doing something. I either need to readjust my spacing, be interrupting him, be retreating, be DI'ing, teching, be punishing, be shielding, rushing down, jumping, hopping, warding, and keep all his options in mind while he's bulldogging me or egging me across the field. Chill Yoshi. Chill. It's just a game. That isn't Melee. Because he lives forever I'm doing something forever.
I can respect that, even though I personally find Yoshi's engaging gameplay interesting. I'd rather not play a waiting game where the person who makes the first move generally loses (that's kind of how I feel against good Sonics and Falcons). I can play like that but it's more exhausting and less fun to me than directly engaging the opponent.

At least you didn't say "NAir OP" because that's honestly what I feel like a lot of people are complaining about with Yoshi, hah.

Another thought I had after I made my previous post is that mobility is important to have while fighting Yoshi. He's a slippery dino (probably mucus covered) with a projectile so you want to be able to follow him. Having good grab is also helpful since his own grab is kind of slow. A lack of mobility and a bad grab are two reasons why I don't really like the Villager/Yoshi MU (it's not awful but it's not fun). Link edges out Villager in both departments but not by much, so that probably doesn't help your opinion of him.

Down B first hit is straight up jank

Do his smashes/tail moves have partial invincibility that gives them disjoint or do the hitboxes extend past his body? I'm convinced Yoshi's made of rubber and I know he stretches a lot in his animations.

Sorry about spreading misinformation either way

Tail/tongue don't have hurtbox in general
Legs/feet are intangible during usmash
Fsmash just has a good hitbox + the hurtbox doesn't stretch with his head I think

Didn't realize his tail lacked a hitbox. And tongue attacks are only grab/Egg Lay/Lick right?

On a different note, someone thinks that Toon Link is Villager's worst MU. I'm incredulous.

Yoshi's invincible rubber gives him more range than Link's sword.

Link's sword honestly should be extended 1/2 a unit or a whole one so he can keep pace with the greater reach of other sword characters. Still lower range, since they're supposed to have longer swords. But losing in Range to Pit's twinswords and Yoshi's neck seems wrong.

Afternoon girls. How's everyone doing? :4zelda:

Done my usual rounds today, and I saw Episode 9 of My Hero Academia, it was a bit slow; but I did feel like it was a good enough build up for what will be happening in the next few episodes. :yeahboi:

I think I found a fool proof way to 0-to-death megaman on any stage.

Just show the Megaman main a picture of his new official design, then as they start frothing at the mouth and drop their controller due to the seizures, just throw Megaman off the stage.

I think something that really bothers me fighting a Yoshi is egg bomb

I fought one who was pretty good (we were going ~even in W/L for a several battles) and after I got to high perfect he fished for his booty bomb everywhere.

And it kills Zelda at like 100 no rage.

And I couldn't punish it like, half the time because the grounded stars + wifi + I suck.

it was also sickening that he has really low KB moves with knockdown at basically all percents, which knocks you to the floor right in front of him, and then he can follow up free from it before you can even do a getup move. It's like, actually really good, but now that Yoshi is good everybody realized it was a mistake :^)

Not surprising. Yoshi's key feature in this game is his lack of end lag

You know how many people I've had to cut from my circle because of how ridiculous their political views are?

:150:
Try knowing hardcore anarchists.

How anyone can like roller derby that much just has to be at least a little nutty.

Well, I mean, that and the time they thought looking up how to make pipe bombs a week after the Boston Marathon bombing (or ever) was in anyway a good idea. That would be when I cut ties.

Basically, never trust people with more tattoos than sense who speak of revolution and uprisings because they've read three quotes that may or may not have been properly attributed to Marx and slept through half a semester of Econ 101. Especially when they wear designer jeans, $100+ shoes and always have the latest iphone.

It's just...really hard to deal with people who are legally allowed to vote and hold office and still think "Agree with me or I'll cry and call you names" is a valid debating tactic.

Anarchists are super happy until someone beats them up and takes their stuff.

Libertarians are super angry until they get what they want and lose every benefit they "earned," and felt they were untitled to.

Socialists are happy until they run out of money.

Communists are happy until they hit distribution issues and go to Siberia.

Fascists are happy until they are named the new enemy of the state.

New Megaman cartoon, coming in 2017.

The synopsis is apparently this, according to the Capcom Unity Blog:

The new animated Mega Man series will follow Aki Light – a normal, upbeat, and above all optimistic young school-aged robot living in Silicon City. He soon learns that deep within his programming are secret protocols that allow him to transform – giving him nanocore armor, a Mega Buster, and the iconic helmet to turn him into a superhero – Mega Man!

Promising exciting new technologies and new robots, the series will follow the adventures and trials of Aki Light – a.k.a. Mega Man – as he faces off against threats to Silicon City, while trying to keep his superhero identity a secret and maintain a normal robot schoolkid life.

Evening~

Been a while since I checked this thread. Had a lot of things happening lately. Like the starting of my final semester and some health problems. Because of this I had to stop hosting/running the tourneys and playing games.

Life hits you harder than Ganon's Reverse Warlock Punch.

Damn, I hope your semester goes well for you. And get well soon Triste! (Also having to stop playing games?! That sounds horrible! D: )

Btw, would anyone be down for some matches? I feel the need to play some more Sm4sh, may try and improve on Roy again.

Thank you <3

It's hard but I had to stop and focus on my studies. I'm trying to preoccupy myself by reading and meditating. Don't want to stress myself out too much.

I'm going to some college visits in St. Louis and my Mom is singing non stop for the past four hours.

I see all the people driving past us laughing at us.

I'm just sitting in passenger seat waiting for the sweet release of death.

I just unintentionally found out that you can jab lock the opponent with just the first hit of Zelda's jab if you are close to them and facing away from them... Seems kinda useless though.

Since she doesn't have any footstool combos, and you can more easily lock them with a sourspot DAir. :V

-Playing with a touchscreen makes the game freak out and it's hilarious. I went into a game, walked to the zone, and just held down on the screen. Mei started spraying ice everywhere around her uncontrollably and I somehow even killed a Roadhog by doing that. ɴᴇᴡ ᴀᴅᴠᴀɴᴄᴇᴅ ᴛᴇᴄʜs!
I made a vine of it.
This is how the game was meant to be played.

Oh yeah now you can all look at my finger if you wanted to for some reason.

So here's my general thoughts on Overwatch so far:
-The maps are a bit to big at times but at least they look pretty. :)
-Hanzo's voice triggers me.
-What does the fire meter do and how do you fill it. .-.

I believe the fire meter is just a way of the game telling you (and everyone including the enemy team) just how well you're doing in that game.

And on the topic of voices, I'm sad that the Brazilian dub didn't keep the accent on some characters. I really liked Genji's Japanese accent in the English dub.

I think the only characters that kept their accents in this dub are Zarya, Reinhardt and Widowmaker.

But hey at least Lucio actually speaks like a Brazilian now. I think his VA is probably the best part of our dub.

I tried all of the characters out in practice mode today to see what they're like. Widowmaker and Mercy will probably be my main two. I didn't really care much for anyone else, but Tracer is okay. Overall, each character feels unique and Blizzard did a good job making each's characters kit feel useful and cohesive.

I still haven't played online though lol

Amusingly enough those two are the only characters my sister plays

Actually she kinda plays Mercy exclusively now.

I have 8 hours of Mercy play in my account because of her.

Sounds like me right now lol

I only switch off of her when nobody on my team wants to play a tank, or if we need a desparate push to win.
There's also the case of somebody picking a medic before I do.

Playing in hotel wifi lag is pretty awful tbh but I somehow managed a 20+ killstreak with D.va

I've gotten a 16 kill streak with Genji once, felt good getting all those ambushes.

If I were to rank characters in how well I tend to perform with them it would be, in order:

A: Mercy, Symmetra, Genji
B: Widowmaker, Zenyatta, Hanzo
C: Reinhardt, Lucio
D: Mei, Tracer, Torbjorn, Zarya
E: The rest because I didn't care enough to play with them

Zenyatta might move to A though, I'm surprisingly competent at using him as I found out today.

Overall, I'm usually playing Genji in Attack and one of the supports in Defense, usually either Symmetra or now Zenyatta. Sometimes I use Widowmaker/Hanzo if there's already a healer in the team

By the way if any of you gorls want to play Overwatch with me someday, my battle.net ID is FullMoon#1579

Update, my mom's cat had to stay at the vet overnight to get medicine and liquids intravenously, since her kidneys had high levels of whatever. She ate some food for the first time in 4 days today and my mom can take her home. We think she might have eaten a lily, which are extremely toxic to cats. Never have lilies around pets or babies ...or stupid people in general. It cost over $600 :urg: Jesus Christ. I payed $130 and my grandma helped too. At least she didn't have chronic kidney failure.

There's always some **** to deal with.

I'm glad to hear your cat is doing better. But $600 for that?! That's ridiculous.
