I can respect that, even though I personally find Yoshi's engaging gameplay interesting. I'd rather not play a waiting game where the person who makes the first move generally loses (that's kind of how I feel against good Sonics and Falcons). I can play like that but it's more exhausting and less fun to me than directly engaging the opponent.Kofu
It's because Yoshi doesn't have combos that bothers me. I always need to be doing something. I either need to readjust my spacing, be interrupting him, be retreating, be DI'ing, teching, be punishing, be shielding, rushing down, jumping, hopping, warding, and keep all his options in mind while he's bulldogging me or egging me across the field. Chill Yoshi. Chill. It's just a game. That isn't Melee. Because he lives forever I'm doing something forever.
At least you didn't say "NAir OP" because that's honestly what I feel like a lot of people are complaining about with Yoshi, hah.
Another thought I had after I made my previous post is that mobility is important to have while fighting Yoshi. He's a slippery dino (probably mucus covered) with a projectile so you want to be able to follow him. Having good grab is also helpful since his own grab is kind of slow. A lack of mobility and a bad grab are two reasons why I don't really like the Villager/Yoshi MU (it's not awful but it's not fun). Link edges out Villager in both departments but not by much, so that probably doesn't help your opinion of him.
