The colors they chose for her Bayo 1 palettes are super boring, and honestly, kinda ugly. Purple would have been amazing, and I would have killed for a white palette based on Jeanne's outfit at the end of Bayo 1, but Sakurai hates us and didn't give us either of those.

I mostly use silver Bayo 2, but I also use gold sometimes. The Jeanne palette is honestly one of the ugliest palettes in the game. Default Bayo 1 is good and I use it occasionally.

The Jeanne Bayo 1 Palette should happen pronto now that texture hacking is happening.

Also IF THEY HAD JUST GIVE GREEN BAYO 1 PLAETTE RED ACCENTS. Why blue ribbon? Why? Christmas Bayonetta red/green was SO close.

I could make the palette, but I don't have Bayonetta's textures. Even if I did get them, idk if I would make it because I'm so lazy.

Easier: Give Green Bayo 1 standard Bayo 1's red ribbons and other necessary red accents. Instantly a better outfit.

DOES SHE HAVE TWO SWORDS???

The purple I had in mind was way darker. It's a sin that they changed the color of Scarborough Fair, but I'll let is slide because the palette looks really nice.

Too bad my Wii U isn't hacked, so any palettes I make will be on the inferior version. :/

That doesn't sound too far off? I know both a Ryu and a D3 player at my locals, and I somewhat recall a discussion between us three saying its relatively even or if not in D3's favor just a little. Ryu doesn't have much of an answer to challenge D3 in the air.

So here's my general thoughts on Overwatch so far:
-The maps are a bit to big at times but at least they look pretty. :)
-Hanzo's voice triggers me.
-What does the fire meter do and how do you fill it. .-.
-Playing with a touchscreen makes the game freak out and it's hilarious. I went into a game, walked to the zone, and just held down on the screen. Mei started spraying ice everywhere around her uncontrollably and I somehow even killed a Roadhog by doing that. ɴᴇᴡ ᴀᴅᴠᴀɴᴄᴇᴅ ᴛᴇᴄʜs!

Well I guess I'll take your word for it, I'm not familiar with either character myself, I guess maybe the Ryu player (who loses to the D3 most the time) was just making excuses?

Dedede is a character that thrives on MU inexperience. If you know what you're doing against him, he's not much of a threat.

I just played 20 FG matches with Villager. The last six had my opponents only play one match each and then leave. Is Villager really that annoying? Or is the stigma against him really that big?

I only lost one of the matches to a Charizard. It was close though.

Reminds me of match I had the other day where I managed to lose spectacularly to a Dedede with Mewtwo. Kept running into things, got flustered, had my shield broken by Jet Hammer (even though I knew it breaks shields) and died. It was, uh, pretty embarrassing. Especially since I had soundly beat the guy with every other character he had used before.

The only thing that annoys me about villager is the offstage bowling ball, I lost game 3 once to that around 30% even though I had a huge lead. It just hit me right before teleport worked.

After it falls a little the bowling ball's base damage changes from 15% to 17%, but the move's knockback values stay the same, allowing for some easy KOs. Especially offstage when you're already close to the blast zone.

Yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that characters with few recovery mixups or characters without hitboxes on their UpB can be completely screwed over (forgive the salt, but you gotta understand that game kept me from getting top 5 when I had used only Zelda the whole time)

Yes. Yes he is.

He's the kind of character who's okay for a bit if you know the match up, but starts feeling incredibly tedious to fight.

Sonic is worse and screw Yoshi.

Speaking of Yoshi, I just spam Nair with him. Yet I still feel better than the people that spam Fair with him.

Obviously late now, but I wasn't able to anyway.

Oh it's definitely dumb. FSmash is probably the most ridiculous move of Villager's with customs off (Extreme Balloon Trip likely beats it in customs). Most characters are able to do something to avoid it (depending on stage and how the character was launched) but it's not like it's a huge commitment for Villager. It can also get the two-frame ledge snap, mainly against teleport recoveries. Combine it with all the other edgeguarding options Villager has and... yeah.

It's also fun to drop it from platforms onto the regular stage.

Yes. Yes he is.

Leaving after just one match seems a little exaggerated though. I probably have a slightly different perspective since I use the character and know how to exploit his weaknesses. It's also very character-dependent too.

Yoshi's not too bad anymore but he can still he annoying at times. I'd rather fight Yoshi than Sonic or Falcon though.

Think I'm suffering from some sort of extreme burn-out from Smash 4. Not really having as much fun for some reason. Like, I know I've been complaining about S4 but it's way worse now

At least I found my definitive doubles main (Sheik :p)

I really wished Smash 4 had a palette maker like in Soul Calibur 3 -- I think it started in 3 --, Tekken 5? and onward, and the King of Fighters XIII -- don't know it'll return in KoF XIV. Mods are going to allow it, but if people could just make them without having to mod the game to recolor stuff, it would just be more convenient.

Also, really miss Falco's red alt from Melee and Brawl. Doesn't help when his current red alt is everything pink-red with pink greaves. Yeah, I love how a shade of pink contrasts a shade of pink. It's so awesome rocking that and his orange everything alt when, y'know, his old orange alt had a yellow jacket to make it pop, but nope. Oh, and great work giving Falco a purple alt that references Krystal, his best friend's wife. WHAT THE HELL? Meanwhile, 4 shades of blue and 2 shades of purple, Lucario. While I don't like dark alts, I kind of wished some of them weren't just make everything black. Could have given Falco and Fox bomber jacket alts; brown jacket and black or khaki flight suit would have worked fine as their dark alts, but nope, let's make them look edgey as hell... Could have at least made them look like greasers or something... Or give Falco an Adventures-themed alt.

Seriously though, Falco's Melee and Brawl red alt was awesome. Only weird thing is the person who made it tried to emulate his metal boots which doesn't really work when he's wearing leather? boots with metal greaves.

There's stuff like Fox with Falco's Smash 4 blue alt, Fox with a Mountain Dew Voltage inspired alt which looks pretty nifty since it's nothing crazy -- just Fox with a blue jacket, black flight suit, and white scarf -- I think it just works because the outfit makes Fox "look like a generic hero" --, or Cloud with a Dante alt which kind of works since Cloud's Advent Children works to resemble Dante's DMC2 outfit. Really awesome and would have been more awesome if it was an in-game feature. Also, ZSS with a D.Va alt.

4 Glory is a different place. If you're just looking to relax and press buttons, and you draw a zoning character, you're probably going to leave after a round. It's different when you're playing the character, because you think what you do is fun. Sonic mains have fun, somehow.

Falcon's not too bad because he's fun to edge-guard. How do you enjoy Yoshi battarus?

So I was doing friendlies online and when I was trying to recover complete vertically as Zelda, I held down at the last moment to try and mix it up by not grabbing the ledge.

The opponent ended up powershielding the move, pushing me slightly away and I couldn't grab the ledge. I died and lost the game.

I think it depends on who I'm using but fighting zoning characters feels kind of like a puzzle. I really enjoy a good Pac-Man match, for example. You're working around the traps (and often trying to use them against him) while he's attempting to keep you guessing. I liked fighting Diddy in Brawl for the same reason. It's more entertaining to me to try to work around hitboxes than trying to hit someone who plays a grounded, shielding-and-rolling game the whole time. Usually, anyway. Zoners can frustrate me when I can't figure out how to break their walls.

Yoshi... I'm not totally sure. It's probably a couple of factors. I realized a while ago that most of his attacks have mediocre startup but low recovery frames (much like Game & Watch). NAir and jab break that pattern which help him out. He also doesn't have any disjoints and struggles to kill. As he lacks a lot of consistent true combos (AFAIK, if Slush wants to correct me I'd be fine with that) he's not super threatening without good tech chases. Eggs are annoying but have weaknesses like any other projectile. I suppose he feels like he rewards smart, innovative play and I respect that.

FWIW I'd rather fight Yoshi as Game & Watch or Mewtwo than Villager.

It's because Yoshi doesn't have combos that bothers me. I always need to be doing something. I either need to readjust my spacing, be interrupting him, be retreating, be DI'ing, teching, be punishing, be shielding, rushing down, jumping, hopping, warding, and keep all his options in mind while he's bulldogging me or egging me across the field. Chill Yoshi. Chill. It's just a game. That isn't Melee. Because he lives forever I'm doing something forever.
