This. I was actually really disappointed they never showed this guy on stream. I think he even outplaced Abadango, which is crazy!

Here's to hoping some of his matches get uploaded. I got him on my radar as well, if any of you see any vids of him up or anything, let me know so I can do my thing.

Go read Worm.

It's a web novel about a bullied teenage girl getting shoved into a locker filled with biohazard waste and getting super powers over bugs. Due to that, she decides she's going to turn her life around and be a superhero.

The first thing she does with the powers is get set on fire. The second thing she does is retaliate by rotting of a raging fire breathing dragon's manhood, all due what in hindsight was a hilarious misunderstanding.

And that's how she accidentally becomes a super villain.

It's a story about a character who only know how to respond to a problem by irreversibly escalating the situation typically with a liberal use of bees, and people doing all the wrong things for the right reasons.

And how things can always, always, get worse.

Litten isn't so great? Are you kidding me? When was the last time you saw a Pokemon with such an ability and movement with fire? Litten puts the Pokemon on another level, and we will be blessed if we ever see a Pokemon with its looks and cool factor for the game again. Rowlet breaks records. Popplio breaks records. Litten breaks the rules. You can keep your cute weaklings. I prefer the fire.

Yeah, but in this case everyone with superpowers is Carrie.

You can only get them if your mind essentially breaks and goes nuts at the worst, most traumatic moment of your life, in which case in your worst mental state you're typically given powers of untold fatality. You can imagine how well that turns out.

I looked it up. Seemed interesting, but then I got to the first sentence.

"Class ended in five minutes and all I could think was, an hour is too long for lunch."

Gorl I only have half an hour for lunch and that isn't nearly long enough, stop complaining.
I'm sorry but I can't read this when I disagree so strongly with the first sentence.

That's because it's still in it's infancy, and nothing of importance ever happens in high school.

She hasn't even been set on fire yet, her shallow teenage self has yet to be mercilessly beaten out through broken promises and an ever growing list of psychopaths with more bull**** powers after another. The body count hasn't even started yet!

In hindsight, I think the reason I like this series is because of how many terrible things happen to the Protagonist. I mean, the crazy city bomber sort of starts off the first major story arc, then it sort of just escalates immediately to city destroying threats and the Slaughterhouse Nine.

Y'know, seeing all the "witch hunt" references made me remember that I really want to play The Witcher 3, but not fry my laptop. Also, maybe Murdered: Soul Suspect, that one detective-y game Square Enix published a while ago. Oh, my poor backlog...

From the sound of all of this it sounds like the entire thing is basically torture porn inflicted on a character just because. Idk just reading that set off a good number of red flags for me

I can vouch for Worm. The opening is all about a girl being bullied, but when we get to the super powered section it's pretty great. It's also free.
