Yeah, math is fun!
Until you get to your Professor making you do 4x4 matrices out by hand when you've only ever done a few 2x2 matrices in the past, or having to derive Green's Function. Those are not so much fun.
Out of curiosity, between you and Furret24, might I surmise there's also a Furret2 through Furret23? Does Smashboards have some sort of Furret appreciation group or something? Is there a sign up application?
I never use left triggers on my Gamecube controller, so I just couldn't do it. It's a personal reason, I use R every time if I want to shield or dodge something. Left hand is purely for movement.
Are you right handed as well, by any chance? I'm left handed, but due to playing trumpet for so many years I actually have better fine motor skills in my right hand. Dividing up the work between the two feels better to me, which might be why it works for me.
The general concept is quite similar to why many people like sticks; it feels better and more intuitive to some people by assigning different buttons to different fingers and learn the muscle memory that way, and it requires a full hand / wrist / (possibly) arm action. Can allow for more discrete, controllable options compared to the slightest movements of a single thumb over the face buttons on a pad. Only here on a pad, it's five or so fingers between both hands, not just one.
Though given how the GC controller is set up, it's also definitely a right hand favored controller. The Wii U Pro controller is more ambidextrous.
I hope you're all having a fabulous day because I'm not.
If it make you feel any better, as a G&W wearing a white tux and top hat, you shall always be more fabulous than me.
