That can be the case, but using your burst attack within a combo heavily scales the damage, but it can be useful if you need to change the phase.
it's really stupid should you ask me, supers do so much damage when raw then people literally just fish for a counter super.
actual poor mechanics in action, usually super does yes get scaled down in fighting games, but raw super will generally never out damage a combo into it, but pokken for some reason has huge damage scaling and all supers have the joy of hitting multiple times.
I've no joke seen a super heal damage because there was so much damage scaling. actual wut
something you need to understand about traditional fighters though kid. traditional fighters, specially anime fighters tend to have very strung out possibilities for true combos.
A good way to determine if it is or is not an anime fighter is 1 combo scaling (which allows players to be as creative and aren't punished for going for more damage over say an oki) 2 wall sticks (a mechanic generally added to make the game more aggressive and once again make longer combos) 3 counter hits (however, this has progressively making its way into all fighters). pokken is like in between
Heck, these two videos show how much combo potential she has:
short analysis for those videos,
you can live with 2-3 of those combos because most of those combos in video 1 start with the same 2 moves and really only time you'll need to adjust is for the corner, I'd recommend going for ones with out the use of supports, those moves are already hard punishes.
same can go with video 2, it features a large number of support combos
and you want my opinion of what to be labbing for, I would recommend seeing what you can do with counter hits ('critical'), brax is pretty good at catching people pressing buttons
oh and I'm used to a game with way more combo potential then that
Honestly, Braixen doesn't really need combo supports. Those are overrated. I like using Whimsicott and Jirachi with Braixen. Whimsicott is easily Braixen's best support in matchups where she has to deal with lots of projectiles herself (such as Suicune and the ditto) because it allows her to almost entirely ignore ranged attacks and approach for free when combined with Light Screen. And because Sunny Day charges the support gauge, you can often get three Whimsicotts off in a single round, which is a lot of healing as well.
I'd talk crap, but I don't have the game. and i tend to enjoy talking down your opinions what a sad day for me
