Hey guys! Just came from my first Sm4sh meetup in a little while and got to pull-off my first ever N-Air => F-Air => F-Air => Air Slash combo with Shulk on Monado Jump! First time means I've also never been able to pull it off on AI HAHAHA. Did it to win a game against the best Yoshi around here and he got salty and grabbed my controller to stop me from saving a replay. Haven't popped off from a game in a while like that. Also performed combotastically with Link today! (As @Berserker. would attest) Even got a jab (arrow) lock kill and sick footstool combos but there weren't any replays saved from today because the Yoshi main that owned the unit we were using didn't want him getting rekt caught on video

Nah, if they were functioning as aerials they'd still be able to clank. They're actually marked as transcendent (though only for the early hit in Bowser's case)

My theory is that Sakurai couldn't decide which he wanted it to be so he decided to let Lucario players choosetoo bad Luc dsmash is booty

Hmm, fair point, but don't aerials only clank with projectiles? I'm probably remembering wrong but for some reason I don't remember them clanking with most grounded moves (I know they clank with Ness's yo-yos though).

Ness' yo-yo smashes, Pikmin, and Luma follow projectile rules for clanking. Which makes me wonder if Ness' yo-yo smashes follow projectile rules for shieldstun too.

That's why I did things like casually SD'd at 20% and whatnot. I liked your Zelda and Roy, they were pretty solid.

Pacman is taking a back seat until I make a full decision. It's hard to drop someone you have put so much work into

I understand the pain. Until they buffed Doc to his current state I found him very hard to play. F-air was rewarding but his USmash was so bad and the tradeoffs were just....yeah.

Flash forward to the USmash buff and hello secondary. Feel Pac out for a bit and see if you still enjoy him. But I'm gonna have to agree that Pac is like, way too much item and trap management for reward that tends to heavily vary and it's really inconsistent sometimes, unfortunately.

Thank you for your helpful advice! Which moves are the unsafe ones do you think? Too much teleport? Thank you for the kind words, I want to improve. Falco is so different from Melee and he is hard to get used to, but I will practice with him too

Well! Zelda has no safe moves except maybe jab, dtilt, nair, utilt due to utility or frame data (barely/not even safe). Teleport leaves her open and is soooo slow. Fsmash leaves her open AND pushes her hurtbox forward. Missed twinkle toes = float helplessly/sit on the ground long enough to be punished. Carefully use tilts and Nairs to feel out your opponent so you can pretend Zelda is actually threatening lol. Go for grabs a lot for easy damage/to throw them off stage or where you want them. Zelda is strongest off stage between Nairs, twinkle toes and LMAO JK I'M USING UAIR TO MESS WITH YOU/MURDER YOU WITH AN UPWARDS EEEEY POSE.

That's how I Zeldoo, anyway.
