It would certainly help if you were specific. Especially when I designed them to give a good number of power ups. (In mushroom Kingdom Inkling Prison, all the mushrooms you could need).
Not to mentioned it looked like I gave plenty of warning in a lot of my levels. I even designed some of the levels that if you played smartly, you could avoid certain troubles entirely.
Like in my Fly High Against the Airship! Level. You don't have to jump over the Sumo bro if you knocked the koopa shell right before him into him. Heck, if you take the upper route, you can avoid him entirely.
