The only thing that patch did really, I think, was fix the glitch where Peach players get banned for getting items with vegetable due to "cheating".

I wonder how many more updates they can actually do before the systems just can't handle it.

The game's menus have been getting slower and slower every update. Especially noticeable with starting the game, loading the main menu, and connecting online.

I think Sakurai said something about the 3DS not being suited for lots of updates in an interview or something.

1.0.9 I think brought them back to normal or pretty close to it.

Don't recall Sakurai saying anything about a limit on the 3DS version.

But seriously, after getting 5th in my recent tourney, I'm pretty sure I hold the highest solo Zelda tournament ranking in our region (unless you yourself placed higher, haha).

So I'm not going back. :^)

In that case I'll take it back. I was just referring to Smash 4 because of course you're undeniably the highest ranking Zelda in Brawl and Melee. But I guess my next goal will be to take 4th in a tourney to officially claim the crown for Smash 4 at least. Seems like a good goal to strive for.

Speaking of Melee, I was playing a little bit of Melee again today, and I'm SO BAD AT IT.

And my best character is still Pichu. I can do chaingrabs and combos and jab resets with that character. I don't know how to use any other character but Pichu. RIP ME.

I never really understood why every Robin I play on For Glory decides that the only way to get to the other side of the platform is by rolling all the way over. Funny stuff.

He's on for doubles grand finals right now, teaming with FOW.

I was really impressed with his play in singles earlier in the night, but there's been a ton of clutch lightning kicks in dubs so far. And Din's Fire + PSI Magnet lol

Do any of Zelda's aerials help her live longer? Noticing ven fair a lot after high knockback, not sure if it was just to get out of tumble or if it lets her live a few % longer to do that (most aerials don't in this game)

I haven't really seen anything from this area before. Crisspy does some cool things with Doc Nado. Didn't know FOW had a Falco. Got really excited when I saw Lycan take out Wario against a Rosalina player but he did a lot of questionable things in the MU; missed several opportunities to get rid of Luma for free, was playing oddly aggro when he didn't need to, and threw away Wafts the instant they charged. His Diddy and Ness looked solid so I'm guessing Wario is a character he's learning?

also I saw Ness' nair outrange and beat out Nayru's Love at one point and got really mad

Farore's Wind tech chases are beautiful
almost as beautiful as killing with sweetspot dair>uair on a missed tech
I don't know what to say to the elevator failing to kill but a followup Din's Fire sealing the stock for game, wow

Looks like he got fourth. The stream hosts said all the games are recorded soooo.

Ven does so many sleek and impressive things on Zelda it's really inspirational. Makes it feel like she has so much potential. Dtilt > Fsmash seems risky but it looks like he hit with a 50% success rate.

Also spiking villager to death at 40% was uh, pretty satisfying to watch.

And I got so mad watching his match against Pikachu. The final match was Lylat counterpick so of course Jab wasn't going to hit, ever, NL is too laggy so even if you knock Pika away he's going to punish you, and dtilts can miss if you aren't on the center part of the ship. I was so pissed the match was so heavily jilted because of height.

Really beautiful games though! The UAIR kill follow ups in doubles from across the stage were godly to behold. And the dair that popped the villager back up THROUGH the platform to a sweetspot kick. Mmm.

Stream comments got really irritating in doubles though. Kept saying things like "Ven too aggro" "wow ven needs to get out there and stop being passive" "where was ven" because FOW is the local favorite so nothing was ever his fault. Like when he got gimped at 30% but Ven made the comeback with two LK kills :^). Or spiked villager :^) Or spiked ness during PK Thunder :^)
