Holy crap gorls, I finally did it. Conquered a childhood demon that I only ever got a chance to play on my cousin's PS1 at his house when I was young. Crash Bandicoot has been 100% cleared. I did the same but still secretly main Zelda right there along with Peach.
I view them as sisters/bffs since Daisy isn't in (Yet).
Zelda is the gorl that always needs saving and her big sis Peach is always there to defend her Rushdown Turtle of a sister.

But yeah, sorry I've put Zelda to the back burner lately Peach is just way more rewarding.

Is rolling of any use at all? I know to escape pressure and blahblahblah but I literally never roll bc I feel like it's way too predictable. Should I just try continuing avoiding it completely or use it rarely?

I'm totally serious when I say that doing that is like the first obstacle every Greninja player has to overcome because seriously every new player seems to do that with him more than anyone else lol.

I just press it straight up first and quickly go for the diagonal during Hydro Pump's start-up.

It is but you have to space and time it right so it's a bit tough to do in wi-fi. I use F-Air a lot but less so for spacing because I often miss because of the lag and get punished.

Basically what Lavani said but with lag as an obstacle making it borderline impossible to do consistently =V

Greninja is fun, though, I'll give him that.

Rolling is far better in this game than in previous iterations of Smash. However, it's when you start spamming roll that people say that you become predictable (hence Roll Glory etc.) It's a better option than it used to be, but proper spacing and movement mixups without using rolls (which have a set distance and are innately somewhat predictable) are still at a premium.

i usually jump for defense, i barely roll myself, but rolls do have their uses since they are all better for this smash game. its more about knowing if you have a better option than to roll in a given situation.

More, at the cost of using a terrible character with unreliable KO moves.

Against another high tier character you give them a free win by transforming.

Could you imagine how broken Shelda would be in smash 4 lol. Rack up 70-80% as Sheik with a couple of combos then swap to Zelda and elevator. You would also have a good match up against the entire cast with a single character.

That's what I did and it was a great decision.

But that's just my opinion.

Those combos are glorious. I did try out Peach before, but I only managed to get a few of her combos down.

It's not that I have anything against picking up another character it's just that I can barely play her. Like I'll try to do a float cancelled nair OOS and instead end up doing a down air and taking an fsmash to the face. Every single time. smh
