I swear to god, you will never find such a large collection of idiots ANYWHERE as you will on YouTube. There's everything from idiotic, pointless videos to idiotic, pointless people. 90% of them don't care about grammar at all, and GOD FORBID you try to even mention it or you get flamed and all of a sudden your comment is -7 (or less).

I mean, there are pointless, stupid videos, and insulting ones too -- I found one the other day of a GREAT song, and they put a bunch of stupid pictures to it. It wasn't funny and even though they were joking, it came off very offensive.

And yet, when I posted up my Brawl Tribute (not that I care for the game that much anymore, I made a tribute to it before release and didn't end up posting it for a while), hours afterward, I get a post saying "dude get a life". I mean, honestly, what the hell is wrong with that? There are many, MANY more videos the guy could've insulted much more accurately. Not even that the video wasn't that good, but that I have no life for creating it.

Another example of idiocy is when I was explaining to someone how something didn't happen as they say it did (it was a Melee video, they claimed something had killed someone when it was actually the other player) and saying that it really wasn't that funny, I got called a "stupid troll" by someone who proceeded to make multiple spelling/grammatical errors. Then I point out that they're not in a position to call me stupid, and someone tells me "It's the internet, no one cares."

I HATE THAT EXCUSE.

You're just focusing on one part of the internet when in fact it happens all over the internet with places being much worse than Youtube.

I hate it when people say that to me.

I was on a travis parker video(the flo rida one), and I was just asking if anyone else liked System of a Down's drummer, John Dolmayan. Then people start saying stuff like:
"OMG, WTF, Travis isn't in System, Noob!1"
It's like they only read the words John Dolmayan from my post, LOL.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot, they kept saying stuff like that even after I explained to them what I was talking about 5 times, LOL.

A lot of the internet, yes, but not all of it. On SmashBoards (as well as most forums) people tend to care about it, and if you correct them you don't have to have a super flame shield.

Then you're lucky. I've seen my fair share of idiot encounters. I even got two people flaming my channel with comments about how I have no life because I like video games.
And the idiotic videos aren't found in anywhere as near of an abundance as on YouTube.

Think about it: The internet is literally home to EVERYONE on the planet. This means you will have idiots, jocks, women, men, scientists, kids, senior citizens, stalkers etc. online. You can't post something and expect to not be flamed. I am going to post a video of my rock piano skills and singing soon. I am expecting these responses:

I mean, you'll find idiots here too, like this one or this one, and there's another thread I came upon a while ago where someone was making fun of everyone here for being on a video game forum. I just find a larger abundance of them on YouTube. Maybe I just attract morons.

Just the way some people type on Youtube is just brutal.

I used to be able to stand 1337 Speak, but after going on Youtube for a while, I constantly tell my friends to not use 1337 Speak as it hurts my eyes.

Youtube is 4chan with a whole crapload of video's.

Basically what I got from your post is "Suck it up and move on". Which basically means, shut up and go on with life. Which would involve not complaining about it.
If that's not what you meant, I apologize, I've had way too many people saying that to me recently.

I understand that there are stupid people everywhere, as I stated on the previous page 95% of people are stupid. And yes, it's better to focus on good things but I am a pessimistic person, and I also like to complain and rant. So that's what I do.
And when someone does something as outrageously immature and stupid as that, it's hard to ignore it.

My Brawl Tribute (yes, ironic because I don't actually like Brawl anymore, but I made it before its release), my only video, has a 1 star rating...and I'd be willing to bet money it's from a moron posting "dude get a life" and proceeded to make that comment about me not understanding the concept of giving advice for life because I don't have one. If a few people could just watch and honestly rate it, I'd appreciate it so I don't have a video rated 1 star as a result of a 10 year-old.
