Well, I've gone Benedict Arnold on my Falco. It's Puff right now because she's fun to play and cheesing people with her is probably the most satisfying thing you can do.

I chose Link because I felt he was underdeveloped as a character, and that as a top-tier main I would always only be following in others' footsteps.

Falco. Even his 'bread and butter' stuff looks flashy, he's versatile in terms of how he can be played, and he's (arguably) the only character who (arguably) beats Fox. Plus, he's fairly easy to be consistent with and doesn't require too many mindgames since lasers and the ability to shield pressure cover a lot of the opponents defensive options. Its a very nice feeling being able to mindlessly rush down the opponent with sheer techskill just because they shielded at the wrong time or something silly like that.

1. He's a very technical character.
2. Ness can do mind games.
3. I'm working on programming a game that has a 'PK Thunder' like mechanic, and I needed to learn Melee's style of doing it. I've pretty much replicated it.
4. Double jump cancels
5. I ****ing love the MOTHER series.

Nice, I'm glad some people are using lower-tier characters because most of the time I could care less about tiers and I definitely never pick my main based off of tiers, I just love Fox's speed and how people say he is one of the hardest characters to learn/master. It makes it feel more rewarding to play him well

Luigi, he is overall good in every aspect a character should be. Speed, Agility, Hit Strength, Fall Speed, Good Throwing Move, If he falls from the platform, he can come back from a hit below or to the left or right of the stage, and his explosive missile is the bomb, my vocabulary terms are not very extensive, but you get the idea, no luigi isn't a clone, luigi has improved moves compared to Mario, plus he's green...I like green :3

I played Roy, Marth and Link in the beginning cause sword fighters were my favorite when I was a kid. When I joined the community, Marth was the obvious choice for me. I mained marth for a long while, but also practiced tech skill for other characters. Eventually I followed M2K to the sheik dark side and sometime after that I found fox and everything was right in the world. I continue to play fox because he is the character that I am able to express myself with the best
