Wow she actually wrote a song about her gold Trans Am?

And women accuse us of being too into our cars.

I was really happy with Warrior. I think it's a lot stronger overall than Animal (haven't really listened to Cannibal). Iggy Pop's part on that one song is absolutely terrible though.

in other new release stuff, Big Boi's new album was quite disappointing on the first listen. His first album blew me away and is one of my favorite hip hop albums in recent years. This one is just...not as good. I hope it grows on me.

also LT I agree the song she does with iggy pop is one of the worst on the album imo.

It's still listenable but there are others that are much better. There's a couple other songs on the album that are kind of ruined by specific parts, namely Crazy Kids and Supernatural.

Haha, the lyrical content on the album would make your mom flip. Get it anyways and use headphones. That what's I used to do with Eminem and Kid Rock back in my childhood ^_^
Almost bought it at Target when I was working today... then I remembered she's my ride home e.e

I need to buy something to disguise it in xD

Any creative ideas? Lol Btw the deluxe edition box is huge .-. can't hide it in a pocket e.e lol

Also need to pay cash because they watch what I buy on my bank account o.o

Welcome to my world...

and @the songs

Supernatural's chorus is very nice, but the verses.... =/ lol

let's talk about some of these bands and albums!!
[/COLLAPSE]
I haven't made a list of my own yet, but I'd tentatively put Swans-The Seer as the front-runner. Anyways, quick comments on your picks!

I definitely enjoyed NLDW more than The Money Store. Although, I had to remove Stockton to get to that point. Haha. While TMS has a few really strong points on it, it feels to have more filler than NLDW.

I gave Contortionist's album a listen when it came out and I found it... really boring. And this is coming from someone who has Cynic as one of their top bands of all time. I don't know, it never really clicked for me. I was disinterested in BTBAM and Periphery's releases for similar reasons.

GY!BE and Converge's albums were both amazing, but we just spent two pages talking about them, haha.

Incurso really fell off with me as the year went on... it didn't stick with me as a lot of techdeath does (for example, last year's releases by Obscura and Beyond Creation).

Pandora's Pinata was fantastic! Since both of you seem to be interested in metal and vaguely metallish releases, I'd recommend Hail Spirit Noir-Pneuma and Anathema-Weather Systems. They'll both probably place on my lists, the former being a really odd black metal/classic rock (OLD classic rock) hybrid and the latter is a progressive rockish release from an ex-metal band that keeps its "metal" sense of purpose intact.

Keep meaning to get around to listening to Clear Moon, but I always forget to. Same for Astreae.

Crystal Castles III has definitely grown on me, but I can't help but feel disappointed with it. It pales in comparison to II and even I. :(

The first time I listened to Periphery II, I hated it. It started growing on me after more listens.

my favorite song at the moment is Something Beautiful, by ORBS whose debut album is without a doubt one of the absolute greatest albums in the past 5 years. cant wait to hear what these guys are doing now. Trioscapes is cool and I love BTBAM, but Dan Briggs needs to get his *** back to work with ORBS more than anything. also absolutely brilliant lyrics and vocalwork by Adam from Fear Before and ridiculous piano and synth from the girl from Abigail Williams
