As the title says. For example: if you are a Christian, you can not pick Christianity as your favorite, nor can you pick any of the subgroups of Christianity as your favorite. Also I am curious to know some of the reasons you like which ever religion/mythology that you picked, though it is not necessary for you to state so. If you are an atheist then any religion or mythology is fair game to be your favorite.

As for me I would have to say Shinto would be my favorite as of this typing, primary because I like its mythology stories more so then western mythology stories.

Greek mythology probably.

The Olympian gods were the biggest bunch of trolls of all time.

Funny you should say that because I believe in Greek mythology.

Aside from that, Christianity's cool. Reading the Bible's fun.

I find there are interesting and fulfilling things in all religions and beliefs. I'm not religious but passages from the Bible can still put me at ease when I feel bad, especially the Psalms. The Old Testament is really brutal and crushing and honestly pretty entertaining. I also really like the concept of Jesus.

Greek and Roman mythology is bad*ss. So many great epic stories to come from those days. The concept of many gods is really interesting to me. It's almost like a omnipotent soap opera.

If I were to ever become a believer, it would probably be of Taoism. To me, most religions and belief structures don't seem to "get it right" in my eyes, as far as becoming a better person. Most forms of Taoism preach humility, moderation and detachment which are things that most everyone in the world could use more of. The duality of existence, the balance of the yin and yang is so immediately apparent in all facets of life. I don't really buy all that Qi energy stuff though.

I found there was too much 'x the son of y who was the son of z who was the son of a'.

I'd you rather you believed that than have a pony avatar.

You're breaking my heart here.

Greek mythology all the way.

While some religions make up half-baked excuses for why bad stuff happens with an "all-loving God," Greek mythology at the very least has the courtesy to be honest and just flat out admit that thier Gods were ***holes.

Really all religion makes me lol. The concept of people believing in an invisible man in the sky just gives me the giggles.

As far as the coolest set of religion is probably greek. At least they were creative with it and made a god for everything and named them cool things sides god.

That's why I said "I don't think anyone got this joke" and not "I don't think anyone thought this was funny."

:) I got it and I liked it. Futurama is a good show.

I like Norse mythology, just because it's less common (somewhat) than Greek mythos.
High five brotha! I'm an atheist, but I love Norse mythology. I got into it all because of Valkyrie Profile.

In my high school years, I had an english class that actually revolved around Taoism. Funny thing is that I went to a catholic school. Nevertheless, we were taught that Taoism is more of a mindset as opposed to a religion. I'd recommend a book called "The Tao of Pooh" with Pooh referring to Winnie the Pooh. It's really enlightening and interesting using those characters to show typical human stereotypes: the emo(Eeore [sp?]), the overly intellectual (owl), thepersonwho'salwaysbusydoingthingsandnevertakesabreak (bunny guy), etc. It really lets you appreciate the little things in life. It helps remind you to stop and forget about all petty human problems for a moment in our short lives and appreciate what's really around us. No lie, that class and that book probably had one of the biggest impact on my life. Also, there was nothing about Qi or Chi in there. If it does exist in Taoism but wasn't included in the book, then I'd probably ignore it too hahaahah.

Edit: You really make me wanna rant on my life experiences and Taoism now. I love ya for knowing about Taoism though. Good **** Luigi!

The Egypitian Gods were pretty badaas.

Anubisss.

The Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods were pretty similiar in that there were numerous gods assigned to different aspects of life. It's great reading all the stories, especially when they show human emotions like jealousy and anger, using their holy powers to throw a tantrum and get back at other gods. /backstab

Ugh, don't remind me. I once had to do a bible reading that consisted entirely of this. The thing is, everyone is supposed to do a follow up of what we learned from our reading.

'Well, I learned that x is the son of y who is...'

I'm Christian, and I find the Bible to be pretty dang entertaining. (Prince of Egypt, anyone?)

Greek/Roman mythology interests me a great deal. I look at Scientology when I need a good laugh. Aside from that, I always found Buddhism to be facinating.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all my favorites because they are the biggest trolls in existence.

Believe in another religion and you go to hell trolololololo

If I were to convert it'd be Rasta. Why? Because you get to smoke the herb that sounds like Peter Parker's girlfriend's name in church man lol

although I'll admit I like the idea of Hinduism. You just keep coming back to life when you die. That's still not enough to convert me because then I'd be a convenience Hinduist
