Give :4mewtwo:custom moves.
:rosalina:Nerf the side B that goes across the entire stage.

A general arrangement of the menus and online modes. It's a gigantic list that would take a thread of billion pages.

I was also thinking they need to bring all the 3DS stages like Gerudo Valley, and Pacman's stage to the Wii U. Those stages deserve so much more attention :(

Thaat reminds me, put some stages from Wii U to 3DS, like Duck Hunt, Wii Fit, Kongo Jungle 64, Smashville and Town and City.

If nothing else at all, let Falcon keep his running momentum when he jumps so he can fly across the stage like he did in Melee.

Then just bring back Z Cancelling, make Up B stronger, give back Falcon his smashes from 64, Falcon Kick that refreshes jumps and Melee Knee.
Isn't his up B stronger in this iteration of games? In either event, I would love to see all of that come back, but then we wouldn't be too far off from Melee. I am totally okay with this game being different than Melee.

Connection strength is dependent on a lot of things, from your service provider, to where you're located, you're opponents relative location to you, as well as their provider...plus if you're provider was having problems for a day or something, getting banned because of that would be stupid. A regional match-making service would be much more favorable.

Why would you want to play online if your connection is laggy? Some kids wouldn't stop if they saw their ping, so temporarily banning them would be the next best thing.

Ugh, no one wants to play a laggy battle. But just because you have one laggy fight with someone doesn't mean that their connection is bad. It just means that the connection between the two of you is bad. This tends to happen when Smash is sending your signals across the globe. Have you ever noticed how a lot of Japanese players will join your room in FG and then drop out immediately? It's because when connection with people overseas, connections tend to be more unstable. The majority of lag is a product of an unstable connection between players due to their location relative to one another. You may have a laggy match against someone, but that same someone probably has flawless matches with people located closer to them.

General gameplay:
-nerf shields
-nerf rolls
-increase knockback or make stage boundaries smaller.
-give Mewtwo custom moves (and same for other DLC fighters)
-a few more items
-more costume choices for characters like Wario, Robin, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, etc (just enough to have 8 player battles entirely of one gender)

Stages:
-make more normal stages and omega stags available for 8 player smash
-allow the ability to play custom stages in 8 player smash
-add delta stages as an additional add-on with regular and omega stages, that just disables stage hazards and the like.

Menu:
-divide "Games and More" into two different sections: "Solo" and "Vault/Collection"
-move the "Stage Builder" under "Vault/Collection"
-Reorganize the character select screen by placing every series together (no clone or DLC sections by themselves, put those characters with their respective series).

Other modes:
-Maybe a few more event matches for characters like Mewtwo and Lucas
-Give Smash Tour more options, boards, abilities, etc
-add tourney mode and maybe something like break the targets.

Misc:
-be able to have "default rules" which are remembered every time you turn on the game.
-try to make the frame rate better when viewing certain trophies or during 8 player result screen

Most important, before buffs/nerfs/anything else: The opening. It needs the "Super Smash Brothers for Wii U!" cry at the end. You have it from the 50-Fact Extravaganza, so why not just recycle the voice clip? A Smash Bros. game just isn't complete without the title scream. I wanna boot up the game, watch that minute-and-a-half long opening, and hear the announcer shout out the game's title for everyone in the room to hear! That's how you introduce a player to Smash Bros.

Yeah, most people have a connection speed that allows smash bros to be played online. But there's so many other factors that have to do with a stable connection.

I'll admit my first two posts in this thread were just jokes and maybe a lil' mean-spirited.

Honestly, my dream patch is the next one coming: it'll add my Brawl main again.

But if there'd be one thing I could change, it'd be so characters that had their movesets revamped since Brawl can get their old moves as custom moves (:4dedede:'s Waddle Dee toss,:4pit:'s old specials and that sort of stuff). I feel in that regard, custom moves have some wasted potential.

  • Slow down shield regeneration.
  • Either increase shield stun or make shields slower to use/drop.
  • Remove a little invincibility on rolls. I want them to still be useful, though.
  • Either slightly increase endlag on air dodges, or only allow 1 until you land or get hit.
  • Disallow air dodges while tumbling.
  • Decrease endlag on dashes.
  • Increase the dash dance window.
  • Only allow edge trumps if the hogger's invincibility is gone.

  • Have more options in Stage Builder, such as disappearing platforms, falling platforms, and ice.
  • Allow us to copy and paste selected areas in Stage Builder.
  • Allow us to change the blastzones in Stage Builder.
  • Allow us to set the spawn points in Stage Builder.
  • Allow us to make drop-through platforms of different shapes in Stage Builder.

^This. Everything here is what i want but a few more points of what i thought of myself...

  • Reduce the amount of time :4shulk:'s vision lasts, seriously he's one of my mains(or secondaries or what have you) and i think his counter is too long, also give him a more noticeable sourspot and sweetspot on his attacks at the tip and base of the monado respectively.
  • Put 3ds stages on the wii u!(GIVE US BACK CORNERIA SAKURAI!!!)
  • Undo the :4sheik: back air nerf, completely unnecessary and i play against and lose against a :4sheik:main all the time, or at least i did before the nerf.
  • Fix the stupid problem in stage builder where ledges will become ungrabable for an unexplained reason.

:4shulk:'s Vision has a really long counter window because the window shortens every time you counter, and it only resets when you die. He doesn't need tippers; what he really needs are some quick/safe moves.

If we're talking 3DS stages to port over, I'll take Rainbow Road, Brawl!Yoshi's Island, Prism Tower, Arena Ferox, and Tomodachi Life.

I agree that the :4sheik: Bair nerf was completely uncalled for.

Stage Builder will remove edges if there is a platform below it that's close enough. It's still stupid, though.

Please don't remove :4sonic: 's SJ out of SD. He needs options of out his spins in order to stay good. Surprised you're not complaining about Spinshot or just double-jump/aerial out of SD, lol.

:4greninja: needs some buffs now. He used to be fully viable…

While we are talking about counters...My feelings on counters are that if you trigger someones counter, you deserve to get hit, no perfect shielding/airdodging/i triggered it from a direction it shouldnt hit me from. Every time i get two counters off consecutively because someone shielded my first one and attacked the second on reflex makes me cringe.

:4sonic: Unless i'm mistaken his every aerial and his neutral b can all be combod out of side-b, I watch videos of 6wx and thats pretty much all i see him doing, also I tried avoiding suggesting any buffs for him as that would suggest bias but....

Reduce start-up lag on his neutral-b and improve it's homing so i don't see sonic fly over the person i'm trying to hit and hit the ground behind him.

Change either his down-b or side-b So that they aren't nearly the same move, probably a tall order since sonic doesnt have much in the way of moves from his games...

:4ganondorf: Give him an original moveset! I've been waiting since melee to see his neutral b be that ball of light he shoots in oot, nevermind the fact that he has a sword in his taunts that he NEVER USES!

Also about :4fox:...You don't want to bring back comboing out of shine? While i'm kinda glad he got a bit of a nerf from melee/pm fox he and :4falco:just don't seem good anymore, mind you I never even seriously played melee though so maybe my thoughts on :4fox:, :4falco: Don't mean anything...

I would love to see more teching in Smash 4. Like Melee, but not so hard to pull off.

Also, make more moves follow up, I would like to see some huge combos that don't take 200 years to master.

@ Pariahus Pariahus The reason I didn't suggest removing :4shulk:'s counter window degeneration is because I doubt they'd remove a unique aspect of his counter. I know this is a wishlist, but I'm trying to keep things within the scope of a patch.

I'm fine with counters as they are. They're more powerful and reliable than before, but they're still situational so that it fulfills its purpose as a surprise.

I don't believe that :4sonic: can combo Dair out of either spin; not like it really matters though.
HA doesn't need less startup because you can launch it early. Plus I already suggested less endlag and better homing so that it can be a little more safe.
I really only want SC to change so it's not outclassed by SD, but I'm not sure how'd they do it with a patch. Although I'm oddly glad that they're similar, so I can run HSD or BSD without removing a vital tool.

I'd love for :4ganondorf: to get decloned, but it's never gonna happen via patch. Just hope for the next game, I guess. Also, he can use his sword in Warlock Blade, but it's just Warlock Punch with tipper. I don't want a full sword moveset for him, as I'd rather him keep his cool moves (Ftilt, Utilt, Fair, Dair, Choke) while having some magic and sword moves for flavor.

I simply forgot about giving :4fox: his shine combos back, and he's not bad in this game, just outclassed.
I wasn't totally sure on whether my buffs for :4falco: were sufficient. His keys to success in Brawl were his lasers and chaingrabs. I feel that less endlag on Blaster will help the former, and less KBG on Dthrow will help the latter by simply giving him a good combo throw.

F-tilt: Decrease starting and ending lag. Allow it to have 6 hitboxes instead of 3, and allow it to pull in targets til last hit, and make it do a bit more shield damage, making it more a more formidable move altogether

U-tilt: Decrease starting and ending lag. Increase range.

D-tilt: Allow D-tilt to hit lower to allow Palutena to poke at opponents hanging on the ledge.

F-smash: Improve windbox power, decrease starting lag.

D-smash: Slightly decrease end lag, and increase windbox power.

D-air : Increase hitbox duration from 1 frame to 3, making it easier to land.

-Heavenly Light: Decrease ending lag. Make it more useful, but balanced altogether
-Angelic Missile: Allow Palutena to move back or forth after connecting with the move to make it harder to attack her (Similar to what ZSS can do after her Down-B connects)
-Counter: Decrease starting and ending lag. Increase knockback when struck by weak hits to decrease the window of being attacked after successfully countering a weak move.
-Lightweight: Patch the "reuse" glitch from using a soft platform thing.
