Xyro77= Best Samus in Tx. Updated june 15TH

I say this not to brag or as a ego trip, but as a example of what a person who ONLY USES SAMUS( do not have a 2nd) in tournament CAN do. I am from Houston, Tx and i run ALL tournaments here in the city and 80% of the tournaments in the state. We have players such as Sethlon, Hylian, Lee Harris, T-rex, Mr.3000, RoyR, Stiltz.........who i have all beat beofre. So the following tournament results are hard earned and not some gamestop tournament trash. I make this thread to prove you that while Samus does indeed suck, she can place well given how different she AND brawl are.

I don't mean to be a downer but the average placing of the spots you provided is around 14-15 out of 50. I admit that Samus is a tournament caliber character but those are the results I'd pretty much expect. It's when you start placing amongst the top players that it actually matters.

I'm still impressed with the results, I think I'm only coming on strong because of the thread's title. lol

When i read that post it kind of seems like you're trying to get attention for playing Samus exclusively.
also, if you do not believe Samus can compete with "top world players" then you are doubting your limits, if you don't have the psyche for fighting them with the character you choose, then of course you won't be able to compete.
(sorry if this offends you btw, i am a bit tired)

I am not trying to be offensive or arrogant or anything, but i am trying to state a fact with this.

I have ranked 4th(launch)
3rd(big local tourny, 90+people lost to)
1st(60-70 people)
9th(fought a friend in winners and losers)

Please don't make claims that you are more consistent that ANY other Samus, it makes you sound arrogant(not as much as coreygames though lol)
I don't doubt you are good(watched some of your videos) and i'm sure you're a cool guy, but claims that include being better(in any sense) than ANY other Samus is kind of arrogant and it is just bothering me right now for some reason, i dunno...probably lack of sleep for the past couple days.

ill be honest with you. Hylian is no joke one of the best players in the USA right now. Sethlon is literally about the same in skill, even thouh i hink hylian won majority over all thier fights.

We have t-rex(snake), Stiltz(metaknight/olimar), and Royr(marth) these guys no joke are truly awesome. Not to mention we have people like Lee Harris(you SBR people know him) show up and play as well.

So me placing as a i do with those guys in the tournament is a amazing feat! Now, am i the BEST PLAYER in tx? no. BEST SAMUS on EARTH? I think that would go to Rohins. But i heard he may have picked up another char.....which make sme sad.

Say, "I do all right," and then win that match or at least put up a good fight to show your opponent that "I do all right" is an understatement. Perhaps he or she will praise you by saying, "You're a toughy," or "Man, you're a beast!"

If you can beat the best Wario in Texas (That would be me, unless the best Wario never goes to the Wario Boards) then I will publicly give you the "Best Samus in Texas" award (I will get an actual professional trophy/plaque) and I will give you $50 on the spot, even if it isn't a MM.

I like dittos. i like Zair. i hate metaknights. Its the only match up i truly cant stand.

I personally think Hylian has the better Samus, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't use Samus exclusively like you do TGM. If you are talking about being the best at using only her at tourneys, then yeah you would be the best in Texas. But if we compared Hylian's Samus to your's, his would be better overall. This reminds me of melee, hylian. Your samus was more technical and faster than mine and In brawl it maybe the same. But the one thing that separates us is that when we ditto....i win(even though we havnt dittoed alot). When i go ALL samus, i do VERY well, considering i have people like seth,royr,stiltz,you,t-rex,mr.3000,pozer, lee harris to try and defeat with ONLY samus. You have never once went ALL samus in a tournament. You have always had a 2nd to back you up if you are afraid your samus cant handle it....i dont...i tuff it out and go all the way.. You are clearly the better PLAYER when it comes to IC and GW....but samus? Ive got you beat.

Just cause Hylian doesn't use her as consistent as you do doesn't mean he is worse at playing her than you are. His Samus might be better than yours even if he plays other characters more than her.

IMO, Hylian has a better Samus. However, you have done a better job of representing her than him.

If I'm not mistaken Watty was known as the second best Samus main in Melee in the US (after Hugs). He was definately the best Samus main in the midwest US. Both Azen and maybe-sorta Drephen were better than he was, though, with Samus.

There's something to be said about being the best who mains with a given character [in a given region].

If you were a politician this would cause you hell. However, it's probably more that you wanted to be seen as a good sport and you just gave praise for that reason.
