In addition to these, someone on the thread corrected me some points that I never thought of before (or outright typo-ed it). Updated the text.
So, things came out universally better when I attempted to follow what Scout said. Here's the result:

Instead of everything blowing up, everything is displaying as it would directly from Brawlbox, albeit slightly darker due to stage lighting. I think it might have something to do with the colour nodes, as the new model only has a single node instead of the many that were inside vJapes.
Here's my reply; things are looking better.

Meanwhile, my edit of Jungle Japes is working perfectly!

No, but seriously, this came up at the right time for me it looks like!

Edit: Don't think I wouldn't catch this little jab on Saffron City X ;)

Hey, not sure if you've figured it out yet, but you were right about the color nodes and Japes. Import your model with these settings:

And then update the materials and shaders like you would regularly. It should look significantly better. Fair warning though, BrawlBox seems to crash even more often than usual when you're working with models imported like this.

Also, there are still more graphical glitches which I haven't figured out quite yet, you might have to import in colors from the vBrawl model.

What do you have planned for Corneria X? Will there be a balanced version with platforms like the omega version in Smash 3DS?

There's multiple versions. One has you fighting in the actual city on a rooftop, one has you fighting on a carrier platform ala smash 3ds, one is a sector z background swap, and the last is what I call 'Corneria Tour'. There's also sub-differences in each of these versions like 'no arwings' or 'no bullets,' which is why it's taking so long to release it.

Would you be so kind as to tell me what stage Brinstar X is imported from? When I try to port it to Brinstar using a Norfair-based .rel, the camera goes haywire.

It was built from P:M's norfair, which uses a Final Destination .rel.

Hey Xermo, are you still going to update the Pillar CSS to 3.5/6? If not, how would I do this?

I've actually updated it already. I'm in the process of adjusting it for single player modes as well atm.

Cool! I'm looking forward to that! Also, are you going to make the filesize smaller using Ondo's guide? I've actually made the 3.6 CSS smaller using this guide, along with a no-name version, so if you have any trouble, I could help.

My modifications only affect miscdata[30], [40], and [70] so I've utilized what applied to those files from his guide.
Here's the update though: http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=203154

Also plan on updating / fixing my other stages (where it applies) soon.

Thank You! I can't wait to use this!

EDIT: I've been playing around with it, and I love it! I noticed a few things though, but they're not huge problems or anything. In singleplayer modes, the difficulty selection is in the correct position, but the "selection" part is translated down near the bottom of the screen. I can still see what mode I'm on, so it's fine. Also, I noticed that you didn't remove the "new" icon or the names, which is understandable, since if it's done wrong, it crashes. I've removed that stuff, and saved a good amount of space, so I can send the files to you if you'd like.

The classic selection thing was something that happened with previous versions of the menu. I'm not sure how to fix it as it occurs if the difficulty selection is moved around and understanding how the menus function is a chore in itself.
And yea, there are some textures I didn't remove.

Xermo ayy lmao

Y'know what would be cool

A Norfair stage where you fight in the background of the usual vanilla/PM stages. Where someone would actually go while playing Super Metroid.

I've been in the process of moving for a while now, so stage progress has been slow. Of course, then I get distracted doing things like this when I do have free time.

I'd have to port the stage to a slot with a destructible object or smashville itself, but I think it's possible.

Cool! Also, just a heads up, I was testing the "small" one this morning, but I think it's pretty large to be considered a small variant. Maybe recheck the files?

Thanks! :)

I consider it the smallest in terms of the three labeled with size, as it has the smallest boundaries and platform size, but I know what you mean.

The real smallest one is "normalized"

Xermo Xermo are planning on updating Mario Circuit X anytime in the near future? It tends to adapt the lighting of the last stage you've played on and lacks shadows...

Wait... do even have the time to work on stages now? It's been awhile since we last heard of you. :(

Time is something I have plenty of currently. Focus, dedication and determination is something I'm lacking at the moment, but I'm indeed still working on a lot of things. It just gets a little tiring trying to focus on one thing at a time when there's a lot you want to do / make.

As for the mario circuit thing, that's the first I've heard of such a problem (the lighting thing, not the shadows). But yeah I'll update all my old stages for 3.6.

Good to hear you're still trying your hardest to do what you want to do.

Edit: Xermo Xermo trying playing on Battlefield and then play Circuit X and compare your observations when you play on a different stage and then Circuit X. You'll notice a difference in lighting.

Is there a version of this stage with the Project M FD background animation? That would be amazing if you could mix this texture with that background.

Until my motivation dies entirely, I'll still create stages for my own amusement, if anything. Even with P:M being RIP.
Also the OP is currently undergoing renovations, so you'll notice the "stages" spoiler is currently missing. Will be back up eventually.

Fourside and the update to Halberd should be up by later today as well. Fourside actually being complete for some time now.

Aaaaand here's another quick rundown of stages I'm supposedly working on / want to work on in no particular order.

- Corneria X
- Dyna Blade Boss Battle neutral
- The Portal (NGR)
- Onett X
- Other possible RPG-Maker horror game stage
- Norfair thingie
- MGQ stage perhaps

Sure
