I don't see the connection either......
People just want money from Nintendo for vauge ideas that have nothing to do with the thing they're sueing for.

Yeah... despite how random the Lucario board is, technically threads DO have to be remotely related to Lucario in some shape or fashion.

Ninty should move to my country. there aren't crazy lawsuits like these around here at all.
and it would help us a lot: taxes here are just crazy.

The controller Lawsuite was by another company in Cali, this guy was going against the DS.
Oh and the DS came out in 2004, this guy made is patient in 2005. And his is a table top touch game, not a handheld.
Which if he does win, and some how nintendo will have to change the DS, there will be a lot of angry gamers at this guys door.
Srsly mate, woo hoo you had the patient to something similar to the DS, and yet you WAIT a year to blow you chunks. You didn't get it out, their for, it would be invalid, and should have no effect on nintendo what so ever.
He's just being a troll and sticking his hand in the cookie jar.

And yea, This is the Lucario board. Theres nothing about Lucario in this at all. Its a nice bit of info, but not for the Lucario boards.

That law suit is misunderstood.
Mcdonalds hat their coffee being unreasonably hot. They got sued over and over and just settled, paying a couple hundred thousand each time. But eventually someone sued for them not fixing their problem after all those lawsuits.
But yeah, this is kinda ridiculous.

Nintendo won't have to discontinue production, they just can't sell in the States, as the patent is only valid in the States and not Internationally. But that jury is stupid, along with our patent system. A company that shows now plans for production based on patents should not be allowed to keep them.

And it isn't the stupidest ever. That would belong to the woman who sued a furniture store because she tripped over a child running around the store and broke something. Turns out the child was hers.

actually it eventually got overturned.

so did everyone else, but theirs didn't cause 3rd degree burns after seconds of skin contact


it doesn't matter though, it got overturned and she only got about 1/8th what they originally awarded and mcdonald's still continued to make coffee that hot for many years later

Yeah that's a stupid lawsuit. But not the stupidest.

This is a true story-
A man actually broke into a house with the intent of killing the owner's wife. He trips on a peice of furniture and breaks something. The would-be murderer later SUES the owner (whose wife he tried to kill) for his injury. THAT is the world's stupidest lawsuit.
