WTCA: A Super Smash Bros Melee Charity Tournament

not 100% sure yet, but expect hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, candy, various drinks, etc.

ANNOUNCEMENTS!
1. We will be selling Pizza, various drinks (Coke, Mountain dew, sprite, etc.), hotdogs (probably), various chips, various candies (starbursts, skittles, etc)
Don't be too mad at us if we don't have certain items I listed at the actual tournament, I'm not actually in charge of supplying the food, these are just the things I talked about with the guy in charge of the venue and stuff. This is just a list of the kinds of things you can expect us to sell.
2. WAIVED FEES!!! :D
We have 5 or 6 complete setups right now (at least we should, I need to double check all of that soon). We're shooting for about 10 complete setups. 8 will be used in the tourney, 2 for friendlies. If you bring a complete setup (CRT TV, GC/Wii, Copy of Melee) you won't need to pay the singles entry fee.
that means you only have to pay $5!!! (assuming you don't enter doubles).
EDIT: the waived fee only applies if we actually use you setup for the tournament. I would suggest showing up early if you're brining a set up.

oh wow... that would pretty much take care of our lack of setups problem then ^^
you really should try to show up early if you're bringing setups though, you don't want some scrubby cleveland kids stealing your waived fees.
of course, if you show up before I get there, which is gonna be pretty early, I'ma have to slap you.

When your fee is waived, you don't pay to enter singles event.
Only like 2-4 people will get their fees waived.
if by "compensated" you are asking wether or not we will pay their fee for them (put money into the pot ourselves).... maaaaybe.
I've never hosted a tourney before, so I'm still learning... is that generally what is done?

We were expecting this to be a relatively small tournament, and as such, we don't have too much time (or space) for the event.
So, I'm in the process of getting everything set up way in advance (or at least trying to) so that this tournament is enjoyable for all of you.
It doesn't help that this is the first time I've ever really organized anything, but right now, its looking pretty good.
I should have everything sorted out by the end of the month.
We were expecting this to be a relatively small tournament, and as such, we don't have too much time (or space) for the event.
