Na homie, if u reaally wana blow up, u gotta get that instagram.

Head down to Nordstrom and pretend to cop some watches. Then jus snap some pics in the studio/bedroom of you and your boys doin some suggestive homoerotic ****. The residual hits you get thru-out your entire networking interface will be elevated to that next level.

Im somewhat of a social media wizard if you will.

Cruel Summer I can't really put it past an 8 or even a 7.5; that would probably be it's best rating from me. The album has some great material on there but like many other albums that have more than maybe 3 entities, it lacks focus and a direction in my opinion. When it comes to albums like that I just approach it as mixtape in my mind rather than having expectations for that of a cohesive album, I enjoy it better.

Either way, Cruel Summer still ***** the **** out of Welcome to OUR House, it's actually listenable and enjoyable. I'd give it about a 7 - 7.5. Also have to let it marinate as well.

Speaking of which, albums that I have listened to this year and can give a rating on briefly:

Bj the Chicago Kid - Pineapple Nowlaters: 8.3
ScHoolboy Q - Habits & Contradictions: 7.7
Ab-Sou - Control System: 8.5
Frank Ocean - Channel Orange: 9.5
Nas - Life is Good: 9.2

I thought the first few tracks were awesome To The World, Clique, Mercy, God Flow. But after that everything fell apart for me and my attention suddenly went away. Like you, I was thinking the album had no theme the only thing I could thing of is to show off it's crew. But if so, where was Mos Def? Where was Q-Tip? I thought it needed more 2 Chainz especially because he is a very hot commodity right now. And there wasn't a posse cut to end the whole thing which I would have expected ala Young Money Grand Finale. They had Chief Keef end the GOOD Music album >_<. I have nothing against the song, but I would have preferred 2 Chainz Cyhi and Common on the last track over a Chief Keef song I've heard over a million times and that I have remixed TWICE. I would give it 7.9

I came for 2 Chainz, Common, and Q-Tip.

I left with DJ Khaled, Kid Cudi, and Chief Keef

Haha I mean honestly, as a man, when you have a chick and you excited to make something happen...it might end sooner than you expect. The next time around you put it down since you got that first excitement out the way. I can't speak for every guy but that's just how it is sometimes in my situation....

I really like the first 5 tracks off Cruel Summer, then Cold is decent and after that they all kinda suck. I don't understand why Kanye would put I Don't Like on his album at all, not to mention as the last track, it's a surprisingly bad choice to me from someone who obviously knows how to put an album together.

I didn't think Lasers was a terrible album but, I did think it was a terrible Lupe Fiasco album with a few bright spots. I remember cats were saying Lupe was done and his career was over...

Well, F&L2 is complete redemption. Album of the year.

I hope that I agree with u cuz I kinda gave up on Lu myself.

New X album has some real weak production overall. He still got his heart in it but he sounds old an tired as some of the beats. I read that he went on 15 hour recording marathons for this one week. Like you can tell some songs he really needs to take a nap or whatever.

Sucka for love is still classic X comedy, and I'm still into most of the project.

Not really dissapointed cuz I wasn't expecting greatness on this joint.. At least he's not in prison.

Blu and Ex Flowers re-release was dope. Remastered and X added instrumentation and other lil fixins plus new tracks. Nice fall album to drive around too.

Big Seans tape kinda dissapointing. I think I only really like him on features. I also think I only really like his adlibs.

I really hate the rhetorical style of questioning tho. You clearly have documentation and know the answer to all these things yet you want to have the person assist in painting the picture of their guilt. I kind of like the way he handled it.

It's kind of weird thinking back to the Lupe prolific dope mixtape days

So much quality content

Artists grow up, evolve, in some cases fall off

I'll go for a bike ride tommorow and give the album a listen

I would never say Lupe fell off. We all know what the deal was. Food and Liquor, The Cool, Lasers (which he made for a more mainstream audience) and now The Great American Rap Album. Personally I liked Lasers. Beautiful Lasers is the best Lupe track ever imo. Everybody rags on it but there was still alot of depth in there. Lupe didn't dumb it down. It just SOUNDED more mainstream. Go listen to Food and Liquor then Lasers and tell me he changed. Did he really? Words I Never Said isn't on the same level as American Terrorist? All Black Everything isn't a clever story or reimagining as The Cool(Song)? Lupe even made songs for the ladies on FL and The Cool. Sunshine and Go Baby. All he did was nab Trey Songz for the ladies. Ask any girl what their fave Lupe song is they say the one with Trey Songz. Boom! He accomplished what he set out to do.

Food and Liqour 2 is very good. I would say it's his 3rd best effort. But if he was any other artist it would be classic. I don't think anything is messing with his first 2 albums. The Cool is my favorite album hands down. So I will always have a bias towards it. As for Food and Liquor I've jammed it soooo much only time will be able to tell where this new album stands.

Na I said "artists fall off", I didn't say lupe fell off. Even tho he has been on a slight decline since his debut (imo). He's still dope, he just doesn't have that same hunger imo.

Lasers actually really grew on me tho, save a few of those MDMA garbage joints.

"Letting Go" actually kinda gave me chills, especially Sarah Green's part. She always kills her bridges on lupe songs, like on He Say She Say. I should look up some of her solo stuff, but I digress; The John Legend outro track was real heartfelt too. With a solid intro and outro with good tracks sprinkled thru-out I can actually feel good about that album and forget about those garbage joints. I actually made a Lasers playlist with those taken out and I threw in I'm Beamin and his version of airplanes and it's an enjoyable listen all the way thru

Anyway, let me listen to the new album haha

I'm still a fan of the dude no matter what I feel about this new record

Toss up between Fahrenheit 1/15 Part 1 and 2.

Best mixtape tracks failure, twilight zone, slr, and lupe the killa.

By the way do yall prefer the original Food and Liquor or The Cool?

hater hop, go to sleep, me and my sneaker, mean & vicious, marty mcfly, absolute free style, ooh, and the champ is here freestyle are all my **** as well

i listened to F&L and the cool at the same time and was instantly hooked to lupe. So it's hard to differentiate the two albums except for the songs that were a part of his theme on the cool
