I live in New Hampshire (in the middle of the woods), so I don't see graffiti very often. However, whenever I visit a city (like Boston), I can't help but notice how amazing some of the things people write on stuff are.

For example, today in Boston, I was in a public restroom. Written on the walls were gems of wisdom like 'JESUS WASN'T WHITE,' 'Froto returns!,' and 'If you can pee past this line, the Boston Fire Department wants YOU!'

Does anyone else see great graffiti?

The graffiti in bathroom stalls is too good, especially in restaurants and campsites. It just makes you smile when you see that death threat or racial comment on the 3rd stall down, complete with beautiful drawings of the human body.

I looove good graffiti. I'm in the same boat as Zook, though. None in my town. Lucky for me, Las Vegas lives 2 hours away from me. :) There's plenty of graffiti for me to enjoy whenever I visit there.

Now to me it's not as much witty graffiti as it is cool looking graffiti, it's just really great, and amazing what people can do with spray paint sometimes.

I saw this is a bathroom stall. Someone wrote "1/2 + 1/2 =" then you could see someone else write "4/4". Then the next guy crossed that out, wrote "1" and added, "Simplify, *****." Then the 1 was crossed out, switched back to 4/4, with a new note added, "I was keeping the common denominator, n*****". Then that was all crossed out, switched back to 1.0, and a note added, "Shut the **** up *****es!"
And it was all surrounded by a bunch of "ha ha's" and "I approve of this stall war."

Shouldn't it have been 2/2 and not 4/4 even if he was keeping the common denominator?

...Or something...

I live pretty close to St. Louis.

Might not be witty, but I'll see if I can take some pictures some day.

High school bathrooms are pretty lol. The graffiti isn't witty or anything, it's usually along the lines of "anarchy now, school is for commies" or varieties there of.

I always find it interesting when you see graffiti in really odd places, like places that make you think wow how the heck did they get way up there to do that?

Bathroom graffiti is always fun to read lol.
Unfortunately one time our whole high school got a talkin to because someone drew a very lovely picture of a giant....well....you know, in the bathroom. And it stretched the entire length of the wall.
Some people need to learn to say no to impulses -_- .

I'd probably appreciate true graffiti if it was anywhere close to my hometown...
...but I live relatively close to Durham, and I SWEAR I was driving down the road in an urban area when I saw some people painting a wall. I was like "That's odd, why are they painting a part of the wall that is already painted?!". Then I got closer and realized it was just graffiti. It was amazing, I was FLOORED. It looked so real.

LOL on the subject of bathroom graffiti, in my bathroom at school, it says:

"Better eff yo **** before I do."

...

"**** = girlfriend".

Only place I see good grafitti is on trains, but my question is how does a almost constantly moving train get graffitied? Does it stop at a train station giving people the oppurtunity? Most other places besides huge train parks aren't that crowded and it's easy to spot somebody doing something like that ><

It's still something to look at when a train is passing by.

Right here, not quite now
It wasn't really grafitti, but I saw that somebody had written "I PAID TO VISIT THE BATHROOM AND THERE'S NO TOILET PAPER!?" on the mirror of a public toilet.

In clear, printed, plain font on an area of wall the size of an a4 sheet of paper "If you paint over this, you are gay".

Melbournian graffiti is great. one can pass the time of a whole train trip into the city just looking out the window at all the graffiti passing by.

Also, more "creative" than "witty": http://www.cratemen.com/

contextual graffiti

i visit it everyday

Q: how does graffiti get in such hard to reach spots?
A: the people writing climb, and sometimes fall :/

Q: how do trains get painted?
A: you paint when it stops! or if you're in the subway, pull the emergency brake and your crew pops up and paints real quick, then splits, hypothetically

youtube has some examples of people painting subway trains during the day, and painting in seemingly impossible to reach places

When I was in Paris, I saw nearly an entire train that was painted.

Found this in Brooklyn:

Lol.

Williamsburg has a lot of awesome graffiti there, but also a lot of hipsters. Eck.
