Will button configuration be tournament legal?

I just saw that the game will allow you to change the buttons to whatever you like on any of the controllers.Will players be allowed to use their specific changes in tournaments.I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.

If I like the wiimote/nunchuck combo ill definitly be messing around with some of the buttons to make it better.

People already bring their own controlers anyways, eh?

There doesn't seem to be any real problem with it. If there is a set up that's better than another one, it's not like its it's game breaking, since anyone can configure it to that set up. =/

What makes controller cofiguration illegal most of the time is programmable control mods and turbo buttons... not usually the setup.

unless there are short hop or l-cancel mods programmed into the game (which would never happen).. then no. that'd be like tournaments banning every controller option that isn't the gamecube one.

While I feel like your initial intentions when making this thread was pure and honest curiosity, it would be ludicrous for major tournaments to ban custom button controls.

As such, I will simply lock this thread since the point being discussed is rather moot.
