Why would I want to fair someone's shield?

Seriously, I've tried it many times trying to get a jab or grab afterwards, and I always end up getting grabbed

make sure you're fastfalling the forward air too I guess.

Try to hit w/ the fair as late as possible.

you probably aren't doing it fast enough. fair -> grab or fair -> dsmash *****.

Fair to rising nair is pretty effective on shields, too. DoH does that to me a lot.

One thing I've had trouble with Peach is that with other characters you're supposed to fastfall before you do the move, when you SHFFL. So it's hard coming from other characters to peach because you have to not only let go of your float but fast fall while you're doing a move; it's a bunch of inputs in a relatively small frame of time.

Also, fair supposedly has enough hitstun/sheildstun so you get a free grab if done correctly.
