why i think armada is still the best player in the world

but there is actually more. i strongly believe that he went through another matchup-crisis. it was the same with silent spectre who cannot possibly be considered as being better just because he 2-0 armada. it was a matchup problem and so is jiggs. europe doesnt have any good jigglypuffs. actually europe doesnt have anything good except a peach.

also the matchup is very bad for peach. its definately in jigglypuffs favour. and it gets worse: counterpicks lose their purpose since jiggs is good where peach is. armada was constantly being disadvantaged and thats the truth.

there is still to argue wether mango or armada is number one but since mango is almost in retirement theres no longer need to discuss about this.

Armada has dropped sets SS / Amsah / HBox twice and HBox has dropped sets to essentially nobody except Mango.

The point is, it doesn't really change the matchup (or what's so hard about it).

peach jiggs is a spacing battle and peach can force her away with turnips and well space aerials and once jiggs gets in close she can do stuff

50/50 imo

and im guessing all the mods must be watching apex vids alot for the reason this thread lasted so long

I skipped a lot/most of the pages. I love the complaint. "Armada lost because he doesn't have enough experience." Well, I think my friends who've never played Melee before are the best players in the world. It's just that they don't have enough experience. At all. But it's the same concept, so by your logic, they should be the best players in the world. :)

I wish people (very very few people) would stop making excuses for Armada. It makes it seem like he's under performing or something. 3rd-4th best in the world is still pretty **** good, and by constantly making excuses for him it makes it seem like he's coming in 25th or something. Who the **** does that?

Armada is really really good, 3rd-4th in the world (amsah?), so he doesn't need/deserve excuses.

Btw, I hate the Peach Jiggs matchup as Peach. HATE it. No downsmash and no aerial priority **** makes Homer something something.

And if Armada were to take another set from Mango while Hungrybox gets 3-0d by Mango. Do we consider Armada 2nd again?

Armada lost that's all there is to it. There's no excuses to be made unless he died or something while playing him.

Just practice, try again and hopefully do better next time.

Other then all of that this thread is pretty pointless.

i don't think a lot of people understand how good mango is. he's basically the best player in the world with whatever character he chooses to use. in many threads people say "who's the best X main" and then people have to say that mango doesn't count

also im not even talking here about the fact that the really aggressive jigglypuff was limited to small hits because he can not gimp a peach. and also not about the temperature during the set that probably got him very out of concentration while it was going on at night. in sweden its way colder because this weeks forecast on google says Stockholm on thursday has a high of 71 degrees and todays high in anitoch was 69 degress. and since hes an extremely adapting player this is gives him less of an excuse.

there is still to argue wether mango or armada is number one but since i already did that and scorpionmaster is replacing mango theres no longer need to discuss about this.

I looked at like every page and each page there is someone who has sigged me what's up with that?

Mango has proven him self time and time again as many different charcters there's no point to argueing this isn't like when ken was the best and he only did it with marth (his fox really doesn't count like mango because he hasn't won the whole GFs with just fox) I think chu dat was amazing at that time and ice climbers vs marth didn't work there's could've been a bit of an arguement who was best. like someone said about manacloud.

mango is amazing and on a totally different level than anyone esle.

55/45 can hardly be called an advantage, I just think that Sheik is a little more limited in the match up than Peach is. But it's still a match that can go pretty much anywhere.

This. His APEX friendlies with Armada are a perfect example. Hungover johns or not (which I think are dumb but that doesn't matter), each match came down to last stock high percent, and Mango screwed around for half of each match. When you watch them you can actually tell the moments when he decides to turn it on, and it becomes a completely different game. Its unbelievable to see.
