Why does my opponent always get HIS stage?

I encountered a pit that was so freaking spammy. b>b>b>b>b>b>b>b>b>b>b>b>B>b>side-b>A flurry. That sort of thing. And for some reason we ALWAYS fought on FD, even though I was trying every match to send us to Pokemon Stadium.

I always fought this heavyweight user. He was really good, but part of it was that he always got his counter pick.

I would like to know why things like this can happen. I heard something about coins....?

If you end a match early, its always the other person's stage that will be chosen next. Atleast its been like that for me.

That could be because of various reasons:
1. You fail it! Your skill is not good enough.
2. You smell.
3. You should become an hero.

Maybe you don't have enough Lotion......you could be ashy.....
