well wahts harder to hit a stationary person using falcon punch or a guy moving through the air with falcon punch. You are more likely to hesitate if they jump toward you with falcon punch. And for the whole shield breaking thing, Im pretty sure its done for the epicness.

The real question is why don't some people not jump before a falcon punch.

also if you need to time the punch, you can jump but its not all that needed and as lid said, its epic

It lets you buffer a turn-around-Falcon-punch (makes it easier to Falcon punch behind you.) Extremely useful for the Tapion Falcon punch combo. The jump sequence (short hop is ideal) can be seen by Tapion himself.

because if you simply stand and do it, the winddown lag of the move causes you to be kilt.
in the air, most of the lag is overwith before you hit the ground so you can quickly begin to move again. its the same concept as the SHL

Oh, ok at the damage thing.

But for all the others, I meant even when you're guaranteed a hit. (sleeping puff, shield break, etc)
