AC Stage + Ac Assist Trophy + X = Complete AC Set

Now those of us who have had algebra could easily solve -through a long, frustrating set of mathematical equations ( or so the thread maker thinks) that there will indeed be an AC character

Well, they ALL are Smash Bros stages, now aren't they? I suppose everything that has the Smash icon only exist in the Smash universe and aren't in any other game...

If there was only a stage it would still most likely get the Smash icon only

But see, I wasn't talking about Assist Trophies or items or all those other things. I was talking about stages. Stages are more important to the game than items or Assist Trophies can ever hope to be.

As far as this game goes, nothing is legit without screenshots or Smashbros.com confirming it.
EDIT: Now that I think about how easy photoshopping is, nothing is legit without smashbros.com saying it.

Are you suggesting if Famitsu literally interviewed Sakurai himself and he listed all the playable characters in Brawl, that it wouldn't be legit because he hasn't put them on the site yet?

Okay, I guess that was a really bad choice of words on my part.

But the thing is, with this game, smashbros.com is really the only thing that we can be 100% sure is correct. Nearly everything else has been wrong one way or another.

And you people act as though I'm saying there won't be an Animal Crossing character in Brawl.

I'm not.

I'm saying that at the moment, there is no 100% reliable proof of it.

Seriously, guys. There's literally nothing that says there must be an AC character except for the posts by all you people that claim it.

I know I'm going to get a "There's an Animal Crossing stage!" response, so I'll say right now: So what?
There are stages based on the Smash Bros. universe. Why aren't some of the Smash Bros. exclusive characters playable?

And someone's going to say "Why would they put the world icon if there wouldn't be a character?"
Maybe because there's a stage.

The main reason people believe there is an Animal Crossing Playable Character is simple; Educated Guess based off of the previous Smash Bros. games.

Both Smash Bros (64 and Melee) followed the same 'theory' in regards towards Playable Characters, Franchise Icons, and Stages.

Every Playable Character ==> Franchise Icon
Every Franchise (Icon) ==> Stage (with the exception of the Smash Bros. Icon, which has it's own franchise characters and memorabilia scattered throughout the game)

Therefore the logically conclusion would be...

if A = B, and B = C, therefore A = C

Every Stage has a Playable Character and Franchise Icon attached to it.



Either way... In the end it's all just simple speculation and mathematically theories.
Nobody is 100% right apart from the developers down at Sora Ltd.

That one was weird too ... lol. I'll assume that they wanted to give FE a stage, but decided to cut it at the last moment due to Sakurai feeling that the American Audience didn't know Fire Emblem at all... or perhaps time constraints...

I'd guess that an AC character stands a better chance than a lot of characters like Ridley, Dixie Kong or more Poekmans because there are already characters representing those franchises whereas AC doesn't have one yet.

The official website labels every character in Animal Crossing as Citizen. So that might be a suitable name choice.

You just said why people believe that there will be a playable AC character in your own post. Maybe you don't believe that there will be an AC character, and that's great. But most of us do, and we're probably right.

That picture is not form famistu, it's from Nintendo dream. But anyway, I have no idea if the interview clip we have is true or not. In the end if it's fake, it has nothing to do with whether we have a character or not, we either do or don't. We most likely do, as I would feel that wasting time with an Animal Crossing stage with no character is pointless, no Animal Crossing fans in their right minds would buy this game because of a stage and an item that can potentially ruin an epic match.
