Well I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in if you guys don't mind. I guess I'll analyze a few of my favored characters in the SSB universe here and there.
Also before I start I would like to say I don't have much knowledge in some franchises like FE or Zelda so please bare with me ^^;

For now I'll go with an underdog, Jigglypuff:

Umm, if we're talking about being a god or having god-like powers. Let's remember Ganon is actually (Don't look if you don't want Skyward Sword spoiled)

Goku at the start of DBZ had no such strength. SSJ3 goku could MAYBE break the moon with a punch. Less than 1000 pwrlvl goku could probably create a large pot hole in the ground.

Master Roshi could destroy the moon with a Kame-Hame-Ha from the very begging of DB (Kid Goku saga). Krillin could deflect Master Roshi's Kame-Hame-Ha at the start of DBZ. Trunks sword could go through Frieza's and King Cold which Krillin couldn't even touch and Goku could stop Trunks sword with just a finger. I am pretty sure Goku could destroy the moon with a single finger at the end of the Frieza saga, they just never do it. Also he did destroy a planet with Dragon Punch at one point in a movie (he was SSJ when he did).


Edit: Actually, when Vegeta is training to become Super Saiyan (on his flashback when he is fighting Android 19), he actually shows how he was destroying asteroids by punching them and he wasn't even Super Saiyan yet... so yeah...

Edit 2: Or a much easier comparison. A very small death ball from Frieza could destroy a planet about 30 years ago in his first transformation. Fast foward 30 years and 4 transformations (meaning he is much, much stronger) and SSJ Goku was able to deflect (with his hands and muscle strength, no ki powers) a fully charged death ball. As such Goku must have enough strength to destroy a planet with just his body strength (no ki powers). (Probably a series of planets aligned together).

Fox, I am soo sorry marth but fox has technology. Ox even has a defence barrier from starfox assault and is shown to have weapons experience in foxes adventure.

Pikachu would speed blitz him with a quick attack, and could electrocute Luigi to death before he even has a chance to power up. Even if that doesn't do the trick, any contact to Pikachu has a chance of paralysis to the opponent.

Well dyntos always made copies- that were better.
Although pit killing pseudo palutena could of just been to increase his confidence.
Maybe pit does not kill palutena because love interest? Virdi could give pit a new home and power of flight.
This will kill my pit and dark pit shipping.

If we are talking in terms of what they all have access to in their receptive universes this seems fairly accurate. I would bump Snake up to B tier though. He has access to a lot of gear semi and fully automatic guns, a fair assortment of grenades, mines, and other explosives, RPG's, and he's military trained in hand to hand combat as well as an expert in espionage and stealth. He's clearly far more capable than the average solider as he's taken down several metal gears He is injected with nanomachines to supply and administer adrenalin, nutrients, sugar, nootropics, and benzedrine; a nanomachine to recharge a codec's battery; and a nanomachine to infect the body with the Foxdie virus and they can be manipulated to reduce the effects of disease. With that in mind he's at least on par with Link. Even with the amount of gear Link has and his access to some forms of magic most of Snake's arsenal is at least comparable, with some exceptions, to Links and I would say they are on the same level of physical condition.

I would also think that Sonic has the potential to be at S tier as well though only for a limited time lol. His Super Sonic form makes him completely invulnerable, boosts his speed even further, gives his the option of chaos control which lets him manipulate space and time, and while in his Super form he is pretty well the embodiment of positive energy (could be considered holy?) so it's possible that he might even be able to take down Gannon while Super Sonic. I still agree with the A tier though because the Super Sonic thing is only a limited time deal.

I also agree with the Mewtwo placement as people have pointed out he can level buildings, and teleport mountains. He also can seemingly whip up hurricanes using his telekinesis. Which he does casually in the movie. So if he can generate massive storms without putting any real effort into it, it's safe to assume that he could do some real damage if he put his mind to it.

I would also bump Dedede up to B tier as well. He's rival to Kirby and tends to always be at least the second last boss in most Kirby games so he's still a sufficient threat to Kirby. I think putting him only one class below Kirby makes sense.

I also think Pit is at least A tier too just because he's an angel and has access to a lot of magical items as well as the blessings of a goddess on his side.

I don't know enough about the Fire Emblem games to know why Ike would be A class and Marth and Roy would be C class so I'll have to take your word on that one.

I don't see DK, Diddy, Lucario, Olimar, or Captain Falcon on this list so I'll place them based on my thoughts.

With DK if we factor in DKC returns I'm gonna go with A tier as he punches the moon out of orbit so DK's got guns for days yo.

Lastly Captain Falcon. Well it's obvious what tier the Captain will wear it's FALCON PAWNCH!!!!!!!! ya hear! S tier can't even compare! Get that **** outta here! The answer has always been clear! Captain Falcon brings a whole new level of fear! Failing that the next tier falls to THE KNEE!!! I think you will agree that Captain Falcon wins by a monumental degree!

Also, the opening mechanism of Pokeballs can be broken, preventing pokemon from coming out. This is a strat used several times in the manga. If Red releases one at a time, it's easy to intercept the ball with something and brake it. If he releases as many as he can, then commanding actions diminishes greatly.

And the point stands that if Red gets to bring 6 Pokemon - sentient fighters in their own right- why can't Ganon get his minions or the Space animals bring a Land Master?

Pokemon Trainer IV Trains a Mewtwo. Pokemon Trainer is top tier. Pokemon Trainer uses Game Shark and catches all other characters in a Master Ball.
