If you don't know me, I'm Razevex. I bought smash about...3 or 4 months ago. No one i know wants to play, anyone that does doesn't have a controller, or a gamecube, etc. To be honest, i wouldn't have it if it weren't for my wii. The point is, I've only ever had CPUs to practice on.

Anyways, i was thinking of posting videos so people can tell me what i need to improve on, and i was wondering which cpus i should play. Which ones show the most about my play style as fox? Which stages should i play them on?

And (if its not too off topic) what about marth? I main fox and marth.

Thanks guys.

EDIT: There are some people i dont play as some characters...for example, i will always fight a space animal with fox, and always fight marth with marth. I guess i'm just a sucker for dittos, eh?
Also, the problem with marth vs cpu videos is, well, im always f smashing. I cant exactly stop, because the cpus dont stop coming at me stupidly! If i stopped, i would ruin the way i think and stop f smashing for good...which is bad....

lmao. Man just stop doing it. You are obviously going to have to learn to use all his moves and not spam just one if you ever dream of getting better at this game. Try spacing the incoming opponent (even if it is a cpu) with dtilts/ftilts, SH double Fairs or Shffled nairs. SH moves while di-ing back pwn.

As for ruining the way you think, its better if you did. No one in the world plays like cpus. They have ******** di, and an even more ******** mastery of powershielding >_>. You will NEVER stop fsmashing for good, you're Marth. Just tilt the **** C-stick whenever you see an opening.

But this isn't the Marth specific so thats about all I'm going to say on that.

??? I'll have you know my name is 100% unique. Google it, you'll only find history of me.

Back on topic, no one really answered my fox - who to play - what stage - what about marth questions...but thanks for the input RaynEX.

hmmmm... fighting computers is only gonna help you fight well computers. So, if fighting computers is your goal, then spam more smash attacks XD

Assuming u want to just get good in general against people but are limited to ONLY cpu's for practice. Then I suggest just practicing combos, and tech skills only. Such as practice chaingrabbing fox as fox Since you like dittos. And chaingrabbing Marth as Marth. Don't get to in depth thinking what your doing to the comp is gonna work elsewhere, but you probably already knew that.

practice on all kinds of stages because you'll never be limited to just one.

From my personal experience fighting CPU's I think Ganon's gay and Up+B's everything you do PErfectly. unless you exploit that by jumping alot away from him then getting in ur free hit.

I thought i was the only one that got stuck repeatedly in Ganons up-B!!

Ok i have gotten some good advice, but no one has really directly answered my questions...
i will reiterate the questions more clearly.

If you were to judge my performance:

What stage would you rather me on? (Choose 3)
Who would you rather see me play against? (Choose 6)

get it?

Final destination, pokemon stadium, dream land

marth, falcon, peach,ganondorf,samus,falco(or fox)

If you're looking for fast improvement, marth is much better than fox

If you can record with a friend it'll be better of course.

They're good, due to their amazingly random DI.
lol, everyone says this, and i keep giving it a chance; but i have come to the conclusion that ON MY VERSION OF SSBM (PAL) DI IS BEST AT LVL 9. seriously. Lvl 5 just means they move less and dont attack as much; which means that you could up tilt them to death without moving.

maybe something is different about my version, but i am sure that DI is not better at lower lvls.

i think zelda on level 9 is the most fun to play.

the random changes in persona (and thus difficulty of the match) changes things up. IMO, they make for good mind games on the CPU's part.

Do those three matches all on Fountain of Dreams. They'll cover the extremities and the inbetween spots, and FoD is always a good training stage because the movement requires you to be versatile.

Raze, just wait for Brawl. There's nothing worthwhile you can do in the next 2 months.
Lol, i would wait two months for brawl, but i worry itll be HEAPS longer. You see, im in Australia, and Australia didnt get brawl until the year after, sometime mid year. I dont wanna wait that long!!! Also, do NTSC games run on PAL wiis? Because PAL melee has a whole lot of weakened attacks, weight changes, so much that PAL needed its own tier list!!! Also, there was no freeze glitch or extended grapple with samus. I just want the same version that everyone else gets.

And thanks for calling me Raze; your the first person on smashboards to decide to do so.

I might just do that, although things have come up. I can't take any video for a while.

why don' t you order it and be hopeful. wouldn't it suck if it did work and you didn't order it. Its better to be safe than sorry. :)
Lol, thats some pretty dodgy logic. I dont exactly have $100 (australian) to throw around. To be safe, shouldnt i wait until i know? Or better yet, search on the internet right now??

yeah...thats what im doing now....
