If we could get a remix or a redone version of "you can do anything" then I'd want that, because the underlining music and beat has potential, But the lyrics...

yeah... outside of the bolded portion, it sucks. and I'd change that "toot Toot Sonic Warrior" garbage to "Super Sonic Warrior". It makes more sence, and is way cooler. hear the song and relplace the words in your mind and you'll see. god, im sure I could make the lyrics sound better at the very least...

I would say Doomsday Zone if it weren't so **** typical. So instead, I have a tie between two songs:

Vela Nova: Personally, I'd want both parts of the song in. It's such a fun song to fight to.

If you can, hunt down the Vela-Nova straight from the DS game. I linked to a remastered version. It's not as good, honestly, when compared to the ingame version.

Sonic 2 Final Boss: Fighting to this song...OMG.

It was a great game, I'ma play it now actually.

They should make tournies lol. If they can make a game as shallow as Brawl competitive then why not Sonic the Fighters?

Didn't it actually have a tournament scene at one point? I remember someone mentioning it.

Sonic was top tier, along with Bean I believe.

I retract my earlier statement: I believe Bark was on top of the tier list. He did gargantuan amounts of damage. Like a Zangief on steroids.

And I agree with how broken Sonic Battle was, and Rouge was my best character because of it. Such a fun game, especially with 4 players. The madness...

But, I caught this in the thread, and I wanted to kill the poster:

I love Sonic Battle! Emerl had those ridiculous one hit-KO moves. So awesome. If I didn't play him, I used Shadow or Sonic.

Sonic Fighters = Competitive Scene? That's too awesome.

It's actually pretty **** fun, like a Smash Bros (actually, it moreso resembles Battle Stadium DON).

Here's a decent vid: Shadow/Rouge vs. Sonic/Tails

I've honestly never played Human vs. Human, but if I would somehow be able to fight myself, I'd think this game would be solely based on a rock-paper-scissors type of thing.

Once you get hit, you're pretty much done for, unless you hit a wall and wall jump off to retaliate. However, it's very tough to nail any attacks from getting smashed away since by the time you wall jump, the opponent is already coming down on you again (Shadow in particular, he has a MEAN air chase).

However, shield blocks EVERYTHING, and if you shield a regular punch or kick, they're open for a full string of combos.

The game has HEAVY emphasis on Offensive play, but its defensive play, while lacking, is very powerful.

Not to mention you select one super power to auto-block, and OHKO Fully Charged Powers only emphasize the Rock-Paper-Scissor scenario.

The guy in the vid is okay, but a little on the slow side to be honest.

EDIT: BTW, the Green Hill Zone rendition in Sonic Battle is pretty awesome, and the Final Boss music isn't too shabby either.

I heard the GHZ music, it was very nice.
That's the thing with Sonic games, even if they bugger up everything the music is still awesome.

Sonic Battle looks bad though, lol.
I might invest in it though sometime..

Gameplay is indeed broken, but it's as fun as shiz to combo the AI's till no tomorrow. That, and 4 player FFAs are wild.

I tell my buddies all the time:

"Sonic has NEVER had bad music. No, not even Sonic R's music was bad. Just because it didn't fit, didn't mean it sucked.

Even SONIC LABYRINTH'S MUSIC was cool to listen to back in the day."

Well DUH Emerl is auto win! I just used him for the lawlz. Shadow was the man.
