I actually do wish there was more Melee activity locally, it's hard though.

Come up to westchester some weekend or so. We're very active and tend to have good turn outs for smashfests. We're only 15-20 away from any of the boroughs except for maybe Staten Island.

Also, Niko lives in Queens.

I live in Queens now. I also wish there was more melee love in the city/boroughs. I enjoy smashfests more then tourneys cause I still suck , haha.

Where are they at though? I've only been to DJ's smashfest. The only times I played Melee recently in NY was DJ's and Alukard's tournament. The third time doesn't count since the person I played, PB&J, doesn't even reside in NY but was on a visit here. Next weekend I'll be in Queens. If anyone is down for some games just toss me a PM.
