This thread is to let everyone know what buttons you use.

I prefer gamecube controller first and foremost. Unfortunately, sometimes we got to give up the gamecube controllers to rookie folks out there. I have been put in this position too many times. I like the nunchuk if i have too. Have you ever tried with a basic wiimote? pretty hard. This is my nunchuk layout.

Name: GuMmY
Controller: Wiimote+Nunchuk
A= Attack
B=Special
Dleft=grab
Dright=grab
Dup= Not sure i never press it
Ddown*=JUMP
1 button=taunt
2 button=taunt
NO TAP JUMP
Shake Smash= ON

*Ddown was the key to bring my game full circle. I am so used to pressing Y on GC controller to jump that it was awkward at first to jump. I wish i was smarter than i am, but it took me FOREVER to figure this layout to work for me.

Yeah so that is my special tweaked control setting for brawl when i need to whip it out. My folks consider me a serious threat when i use the nunchuk. I will never tell them, but i always feel handicapped using it.

So if you are a serious threat, and you come hard unconventionally, this thread is to let the world know how you brawl.

The rest is default with Tap Jump off.

I actually only use a GCN controller, but I adjusted the Classic controller options too.

I use the Classic Controller. My control scheme is pretty much the controller's default scheme, with the exceptions that Y is used for grabbing and that Tap Jump is off.

A= Smash attacks
B=specials
control stick= move around
D-pad Up- taunt
X-jump
R- power shield
c-stick-N/a

I pretty much always use a Gamecube controller for every game, I don't bother with the Wiimote unless a certain game requires me to which is okay I guess, but for the most part I should get accustomed to the Classic Controller Pro sometime soon.

(not to single you out), but I thought it was generally a better idea to have jump be on L or R unless you are going for a specific set up for a certain technique?

All defaults with tap jump off.

My sister (Ember with an accent on the second e) uses either Gamecube controller (tap jump off) or Wiimote w/out the Nunchuck, with default settings.

R=Attack is really hard for me. I tried it out. It is actually really effective in some cases. I guess i am classically conditioned with the default GCN scheme. The R=shield is just super clutch for me. I enjoyed trying this out against my people.

I use the classic controller. I use the default settings only with tap jump set to off. I tried the GC controller but it feels so weird I couldn't do it.
