*perks up at Little Mac matchup discussion*Spacing, poke, chip damage. Also good follow up if you hit them with Neutral B at low % for some extra damage.
It's also hilariously good at screwing with opponents that keep trying to approach from the ground head-on. You can also force characters like Little Mac to adjust in a certain way to it, making their approaches more predictable and thus more punishable.
Little Mac feels really easy to me, even better ones.*perks up at Little Mac matchup discussion*
Can you elaborate at all on this? Little Mac is one of the characters that consistently gives me trouble online unless the person just outright sucks. (Whee for only playing on his best stage.)
I guess I just don't know how to properly deal with Jolt Haymaker then, because that seems to be the main move that gets me. (That and super armor on smashes.) It doesn't help that they tend to end up behind me when I shield, which means shield grabbing is out?Little Mac feels really easy to me, even better ones.
The fact that you can interrupt his ground approach with Star Bits means you force him to either properly space his dash attack to dodge them at the right time, approach with side b, or approach from above (which is a terrible idea as Mac).
Options one and two can be punished easily with a well timed Shield Grab, option 3 just sets him up to get juggled really hard.
Oh, and one thing is really important when fighting Little Mac: Be patient. Really patient. Most Little Mac players can be read pretty easily.
I can upload a few Little Mac replays to Youtube for you if you want, I think my only loss so far was against a very unlucky One-Hit-KO hit.
It's that particular point of coverage that's ultimately made me switch to Launch Star Attack full time. Even though it doesn't go as far as the others, Rosalina's recovery is still very adequate with it and it covers that awkward position when they're behind you after you shield an attack.I guess I just don't know how to properly deal with Jolt Haymaker then, because that seems to be the main move that gets me. I have this on my custom set as well, and I find it infinitely better than the default. It provides a mid/long range tool that doesn't require commitment, unlike luma shot, which imo is huge in some MUsSo I played against Dabuz's Rosalina and I noticed instead of him using her default side-b he used a customized move where the Luma would shoot a single star bit instead of 3. Imo I find this much better because it has a VERY far range and it's extremely safe to use. Hopefully you guys feel the same way.
I find that both Star Bits alts outclass the default one. They're both usable depending on the matchup and how you play. The default Star Bits though... I really can't think of a reason to prefer this over the other two.I have this on my custom set as well, and I find it infinitely better than the default.
