Yeah alot of new player think this.
Marth takes alot of mindgames, LOTS of chaingrabing, harder combos, and WAY more spacing.
The more advanced you go, the more easy Fox gets, and the harder Marth gets.
Trust me....
I guess for me (i've been playing video games for 20 years now usually very competitvely) marth's attacks just make sense, and the spacing and mindgames come very naturally to me, which is why i don't play as marth, or rather completely refuse to play him

I just can't see how shiek would be considered easy. He's a super fast character, and I guess most people can use that to an advantage, but his attacks take timing and imo alot of skill to pull off.

The fact that you called Sheik a "he" (not to mention that you spelled her name wrong) makes you even more wrong. Just deal with it, Sheik is easy to play with, at least technically. The mindgames that really make a Sheik player good are perhaps what people don't understand. The two characters, IMO, who really need superior mindgames, son, and cannot rely only on tech skill are Marth and Sheik.

You'd need an NTSC TV and an NTSC Gamecube to play the NTSC version of SSBM in Germany, and I doubt many people are dedicated enough to import three things from the US just to play the NTSC version.

I used to agree with them but after watching KDJ at MLG Farmingdale, Sheik seems a little more difficult.

And have you ever watched Plank's Sheik vs Foxes? I don't think many people can gimp Fox like that.

first off drephens post was hilarious

next off, shiek is harder to win with at the top level than sa's are, thus the tier list. if the person doesnt like / agree with tiers then you and whoever is with youat the time should haze them sodomy style.

Sheik at any level is the most easy to win with.
ALL her combos have VERY easy setups. Her F-air is so easy to kill with. Her needles are easy to use. I don't know if its just me but even her L-canceling is easy.
Sure she has a FEW hard things. But nothing that you REALLY have to think about during a round.

Please stop saying she is hard at a high level....

So when you say that Sheik is the easiest character to master/use, does that mean you're saying that all Sheik users have the same level of skill using her?

ive been to ALOT more.

next, at high level of play, all the hard **** that space animals can do are done easily. so since space animals beat shiek, and the players can do their advanced stuff easily, shiek loses.

Just tell them the truth.

Against medium-low level players, sheik is VERY easy to use. She has great combos, and is just plain great. However, once you face higher level players, she is MUCH harder to master.

Tell them to become decent, so they don't have to complain.

Someone says to me "Sheik is the easiest to use, you winning means nothing."

I say "Sheik is easy as **** to use because you have no idea what you are doing. What of it?"

I think sheik is good against noob players and low/medium level tier characters.

When my friends say this to me i tell them "Sheik is easy to be good with, but hard to be great with"

And i agree with 5150. Redragon, Sure sheik has her advantages but the space animals can effin **** her. Almost all the high tier characters have major combos they can pull off. (Ex: Marth's upthrow and then up tilts) And you are NEVER going to win a big tournmanet by playing people who can't do these things.

Sheik is the easiest to win at any level, that's why she wins so many major tournaments, right? No wait, those are the fox and marth players.

Her F-air is so easy to kill with? Learn to DI. Her F-air isn't strong at all, if you're going to complain then complain about it being too quick, not too strong.

Her combos aren't easy (aren't even possible) if the opponents know how to DI. You probably just think L cancelling is easy because she has not too much landing lag, so even when you miss 90% of them you don't notice since you aren't good enough to capitalize off of achieved L cancels anyway.

All of you newbies say the same thing and whine about sheik, but I guess it's acceptable since (imo) there aren't very many good sheik players, most get caught up somewhere along the line in her metagame and max out and never achieve anything. I think it's easy to get up to that point, to actually pass it and achieve things with sheik is where it starts to really take skill.

M2k - you always talk about how amazing your sheik is and how you have like the best one, yet when push comes to shove in any tournament you pick marth or fox.

Your words don't match your actions

Shiek is easy to play and (cheap) at lower levels of play and sort of at middle levels of play. but at higher levels of play she is no doubt good, but not cheap. u need skill just like every other character. easy to master her tech skill? yes. good all around character. yes. but not necessarily cheap. used to think she was mad cheap. and to an extent maybe. but then you realize. wait. she not as good as fox. lol. ive played good shieks and i can tell you. i.e. plank. my best friend. lol.

"This games winner is..........CHEAP" lmao.

I don't understand. Discission in here seems to be going "If you're good, then x character is easy to play with, regardless of how much time and effort has been put into mastering their techniques. In all honesty, I believe Sheik is the easiest character to play. Whether you know how to play against sheik isn't a factor becasue same can be said for any character.

Of course, Sheik isn't easy to play, rather the easiest to play. There has to be one character and if it isn't Sheik, then who is it? Pikachu? Yoshi?
