So this morning, I was EV training my Driftbloon
Its gonna be like this:
Timid, Unburden, 252 HP, 252 SPD, 6 w/e
Calm mind
substitute
baton pass
ominous wind
W/ Unburden, holding Salac berry

I was on 203(I think) training on starly's and bidoofs when......




"Show me your moves!"
Wild Captain Falcon appeared!
Branden sends out Driftbloon.
~Insert Driftbloon noise here~
Branden throws Master Ball.
Oh no! The Falcon broke free!
Wild Captain Falcon uses Falcon Punch.
Trainer Fainted!

After that happened, I gave my DS a hard reset, and it hasn't happened again..... yet.....

It was a good topic. Although with the lack of response, it sorta died. Then it got bumped and... I'm not really sure how it got to the point where the threadmaker wants it closed after two more posts. I will now attempt to revive said thread.

well obviously you should have used protect/reflector (depeinding on your foxs level) when it used falcon punch. since it has to rest the next turn you would have had a chance to do fox illusion.

Falco needs some def EVs to come in safely on falcon, though. If it weren't for intimidate it wouldn't be possible at all.

Falcons IVs are always perfect, and with a base attack of 150, its kinda hard to bring in Falco, even with max DEF.

Also, the reflector only works on special attacks.

Well as long as you don't switch in on brinstar's acid, you should be able to EV it so that it survives 100% of the time. Still not the most effective counter in the world.

It'd be best to send in a Cursekong, if you have one.

I would personally send in Samus. With 110/125/120 in defenses, it can tank pretty much any Falcon Punch, even if it's STAB'd. The problem is fighting back. Charge Beam is a two turn move and is, thus, frowned upon.

Celebi, I personally don't like Fire Fox, since it leaves you vulnerable to Falco's D-Air, but since almost no one uses that with Falco, go right ahead.
