Please ignore this post, as I'm trying to figure out how to delete former threads I've created.

I use the gamecube controller for Yoshi as well. Basically I have the same configurations as normal except I use X as shield and keep tap jump off. X is my shield button because I use Y to jump and because I can press X much more faster than R when I need to spot dodge very quick.

GameCube controller.

I've gotten used to it from Melee times.

pretty sure there's only a couple yoshi's that don't use GC controls.

I use GC for anything serious, but for times when I can't use a cord, I do nunchuck or classic. It's not hard to set them up to work with your hands, you just have to give them a serious makeover.

What about the Dragonic Reverse? I was expecting a bunch of weird jumping schemes to pull that off.

my controls have b as jump and x as special. =)

however, there's other threads that this discussion could better fit in with, so go to the faq thread to ask more.

I use GC with default controls and tap jump on. I can do all Yoshis techs with total consistency with those controls, I use tap-X-A for DR.
The only disadvantage is that using eggtoss off stage is harder and more risky.

Just another day.
GC

X = specials
B = jump
Tap jump off

everything else the same.

MY GC has been acting up lately though. Idk what I'm gonna do.

GC Pad

X, Y, B -> Jump
Z -> Special
A -> Attack
C Stick-> Smash
R -> Grab
L -> Shield

Z as special is just too comfortable <3

It's not that wierd, I use a similar controls scheme when I use Tink, with B to jump and A as special so it's easier to SHDA etc., having R to attack makes SH zair feel better as well.
