Your eyes happened to drift to my location, I see.
how's your vision?

well i was born with 20/20 vision (actually much better than that)
over the years, i have been playing a lot of video games
i have been poring over countless tomes
i have been doing a lot of homework
i have been peering at the computer screen for far too long
i have been scrutinizing musical pieces for the violin for nine years
it's now 20/25 or 20/30

i'm sure a lot of you have done much more than just this, but have better vision. this is mainly because of genetics or healthy eye habits.

do you believe that natural eye improvement methods work? such as the bates method or just simple eye exercises (DID I MENTION THAT I FREQUENTLY MISSPELL EXERCISE BEFORE? YES) . they seem to improve your vision to some extent but from what i gather it is only strengthening particular muscle groups in your eye, not your actual vision. this should be correct, right?

well, back to the point. how's your vision and what's your story? (i do not wear glasses or contacts)

I had perfect vision until about 3 years ago. I got glasses about a year ago.

I think I have like 20/50 vision in my left eye, and maybe 20/30 vision in my right eye, but I don't remember the exact numbers. I'm nearsighted.

Also, I was born cross-eyed, and even now, if I don't concentrate really hard, my vision goes cross-eyed when I look at things far away. But you couldn't tell by looking at me.

My vision used to be 20/20, but now, I am starting to notice some changes over the years. I think I have 20/25 in both eyes now, last time I went to my doctors. The vision tests were cheap! They kept using Os, Qs, Rs, and Ps, it was annoying!
Even if I needed glasses, I probably wouldn't get them anyways.

My vision is awful. I don't know the actual numbers. Basically if I'm leaning back and my laptop is on my lap, I can't read text without glasses or contacts.

I plan on getting lasik surgery eventually, but probably not for another year or two when I have the money.

Absolutely horrible since the televisions has been a third parent to me my whole life.

I'm looking from less than six inches straight up my laptop keyboard. I can barely distinquish the letters without squinting.

I don't even know what my vision is necessarily, but I do know it is very odd. I am nearsighted in my right eye, and farsighted in my left eye. I can see alright without glasses, but need them to see things clearly. However, my prescription seems to have gotten weaker after only a year, so I'm going to need new ones soon. I hate how once you get glasses you become so dependent on them.

My glasses/contacts are for seeing far, which happens to start about an arms length away from my body as I found out while reading one day. My doctor says my vision is horrible, but it's caused by reading and in college, it's common for your vision to get worse. Oh well...

My right eye is okay, but I'm very near-sighted in my left eye. The left lense of my glasses is about 2 1/2 times thicker than the right one.

I have no idea, I've never had my eyes checked, not even after years and years late nights at the computer, playing games, reading magazines in bad light and watching tv.

How did you guys end up getting your eyes checked? Was it just trouble seeing or did you get pains and stuff? It'd be kinda hard for me to go up to my mom and say "Yo, I want my eyes checked now".

I'm hoping that my eyes are ok because I figure if I keep this up with bad sight it'd just get worse.

I just noticed that my vision was getting progressively worse. I didn't know how bad it was though because my right eye was compensating for my left eye.

In elementary school, we had annual vision tests. I failed it HORRIBLY while my mom helping administer it so they called her over and she then gave me the test and I did bad. Then, I got glasses and I realized how bad my vision was when I found out we had leaves on the tree in the backyard.

Annual vision tests? Wow I barely even hear of teachers here recommending vision tests, they only say that stuff when someone says they have trouble reading whats on the board, and even then they don't give a dam if you get your eyes checked or not they just want you to stop whining and do the work.

That's pretty funny though, I can't imagine someone not being able to see leaves on their tree because of bad eyesight, that sounds like something straight out of a cartoon.

I don't know the exact numbers but, my right eye is legally blind while my left eye is perfectly normal. I have whats called a lazy eye :my eye grew sideways if I remember what the doctor said. I when i went to take my drivers liscense test they gave me a pair of goggle like things to look into with 3 seperate boxes each with a group of letters-to my eyes (looking into it normally) [left eye][both eyes] [right eye]->[2sdc3][rstlne] [------]. Nothing showed up in the last box. I said the 1st to then tilted my head just enough to see the final box with my left eye. Now I drive 34 miles every day I work/go to school/etc , hope to see you on the rode xD

I actually am a very skilled driver. My dad taught me ,he was once a top stock car racer :p.

My eyesight is pretty terrible.
My grades were going down because I couldn't read the boards. It's always good to have friends to tell you what's there or someone to copy off of (Because I have straight A's, but they're low A's).

I might just be calling my eyesight bad, but there are those who are worse.

Oh yeah, I have glasses, but they look terrible on me. (Like, 5 years older terrible.)

I forget the tree, pine maybe, but they were small and sparse so I just never saw them.

my vision is pretty bad but not too bad. i can see text on my laptop from a foot away, but after that i'm done. haha.

i haven't had glasses in a few months. i lost my old pair, and just never was able to get new ones until my insurance kicked in. school has been hell. haha. and playing smash, i need to sit kinda close, and that makes it hard to see everything. : (

I don't know the numbers, but without my glasses I am just barely "not" legally blind. I can see 6 inches in front of me before everything gets blurry. I had to deal with poor vision since I was in the second grade (I'm in college now lol), and it was not fun at all. Even with glasses, I don't have perfect vision (I too, cannot see leaves perfectly clear :/)

I reckon i have average eyesight, but im a bit worried as i used to have superhuman eyesight. I want it back...

anyway, on my 14 inch laptop screen, 1280x1080 resolution (or something similar to those numbers, dont know the exact numbers) i can read this website (about size 10 font) from...

lemme check... *gets ruler*

160cm away. barely, though. Its like reading in the 2nd grade.

Have had 20/20 vision all my life.

Kinda funny, though. Both sides of my family had severely deteriorated eyesight by my age.

are you saying you went from verynearsighted to having better than standard normal vision? if so, how did you accomplish this?
Photorefractive keratectomy, a type of laser eye surgery. Like Lasik, but without any problems with an eye flap. (also more painful)

My vision was great until Crysis, haha!

I don't know the numbers, all I know is that each seperate eye is bad, together they are decent at best, and that Im gonna need glasses.

I'm nearsighted, I could have contacts but something about putting glass in my eye is not appealing so I am a glasses wearer, I still look just as sexy =)
